Beautiful scene, except there are a few changes that would be required to make it more fitting for today's audience. Cornell is going to have to dump the suit and tie for a t-shirt and shorts and sneakers. Tatoos are a must. Let the hair grow long and of course hip men paint their nails today. Gene Tierney needs to put on some pants with holes in it. Dresses are such a legacy of our patriarchal past... And maybe add some combat boots. Got to replace the book and magazine with cell phones. And of course the dialogue needs to be changed. No one talks in complete sentences any more. We are way more expressive today. You need not exaggerate it, but how can any one carry on a conversation without using the f-word at least 2 or 3 times. Otherwise, it's a good scene.

I think I would've made this movie in black and white instead of Technicolor--would've suited the haunting nature of the story better, in my opinion.
Still, it's a great film and a brilliant performance from the beautiful Gene Tierney. To me, she epitomizes the glamour of Old Hollywood.
