Cole Clark are definitely a hidden gem in the guitar world. So many people think this sound doesn’t exist. It sounds like wood. So many people try to recreate it with different pickups, amps, preamps Di’s, etc but if they only knew….. I plug straight into my mackie 12 channel board with a guitar cable and throw on a tiny bit of reverb and I’ve had more people talk about how great the tone is on the acoustic than ever before.
I have a Cole Clark Angel 2 RDBL and a Taylor 614ce. I can say I get more compliments on live sound with the Cole Clark than any other guitar. And I hear the difference too. I can plug straight into a PA system no amp and make a Cole Clark sound great if I have to.
*This surely competes with Taylor's expression system. Wow! Never had an idea how this simple arrangements on how it will sound so purely the "guitar sound" that I like.*
No, that doesn't compete with Taylor's expression system. I have both a Cole Clark Angel 3 and a beautiful Taylor 714 with ES2. I love Taylor guitars, but the ES2 sounds awful compared to the CC system.
I have a redwood angel 2 and I love it. Best axe I've ever owned. I'm thinking about getting another one. A bunya top blackwood back and sides fat lady 2. Kinda similar to this one but this looks like a special model they call the talisman or something on the lines of that.
What a perfect person and guitar!! He was equal parts articulate and talented but without any ego through the transitions between explanation and playing.. if I could play the blues like that on the acoustic I would stop and giggle.. because I am a lesser man.
It’s really a matter of player preference but personally (I’m the guy in the video) I set the Treble and Bass flat in the centre and pull my mids ever so slightly down. The blend knob at 3/4 to ‘face’ and mic on 2/3rd. That’s the likely setting in this video too although this was made prior to the PG3 pickup being introduced. The PG3 is essentially the same but has a much better mic for the high end and an option to remove the frequency filters built into the original 3 way system. I would be inclined with the PG3 to bring the mic to half and I actually use both FC button out (new sound) for some songs and in (improved old sound) for others. Mostly songs that I attack really hard, the button is in and softer tracks, button out.
Nick Evans not without almost destroying your guitar. The face sensor is actually one of the braces. Realistically, you would be better off buying another CC with the 3 way already installed
Holy shit. You are a master of blues

Yeah def does not compete with it. The es2 is garbage. This blows it out of the water.
It shits on it

slash2jimi That’s right. This model is a talisman but the difference with this and any other Bunya model is visual.
Do all models have the kill function on the output jack? I had no idea!!
Yep. It’s standard on all our guitars.
Beautiful color

Adam Kelly Yeah, but you don't know how many takes we had to do before we got this giggle free take.

😂👌🏼
Yanger 2024 It wasn’t THAT many. To be fair, we were straight off 24hrs of travel from Melbourne to Kansas City.
It's genius. I thought that lrbaggs anthem is the best before. When I see this, wow!
Soooooo nice.
What settings would you recommend as a starting point for all 3 pieces?

@@ColeClarkGuitarsAU thanks for the detailed response!
He can play!
sweet! dude you can play!
which model is this CC?
This is the Talisman 2
Which string is on it?
Not sure what you mean.
Pretty sure he means what strings.. eg Elixir?
Can I get a this pickup fitted into my pickup-less Fat Lady 1?
Nick Evans Unfortunately not.
