Great video as always Doc! I’m sorry you’ve had to endure some heartache this year, hopefully these last few fruit will hang on and give you some numbers to be happy about. Also, I’ve found that yellow jackets in the patch is a dead giveaway that there’s aphids in there leaking sugary sweet pumpkin sap all over. I’m always impressed with how fast those nasty little things can multiply.
Tom for the win. My first run in with aphids....but yes I have half a dozen leaves eat up with them. Now to spray or let it ride. This late in the season...... I will observe for a few days and go from there.
Would be cool to put a data logger on the scale. Then graph the whole season with scale, tape, moisture and temp data. Would be so revealing to see all of that on the same graph. The scale, moisture and temperature data would be high fidelity, the tape would be lower (daily or weekly). I am especially interested in tape vs scale data. Whether they diverge or how they diverge, etc.
Always the best video of the week!
I appreciate the kind words. I enjoy the pumpkin club updates as well.
I highly recommend a patch cat!! Looks good, good luck Doc!
Good luck at the weigh-offs! May all your fruit go HEAVY!
Thanks Ken
I saw your sweat, I saw the smile of the winner, and I learned the spirit of never giving up!
Thank you
Finish strong Doc!!
Thank you Josh

It’s yellow jacket season here too, in Michigan.

209 lbs is my unsoliciated guess
I like the way you think bubba.
@@docrodebaugh my second thought was 219 lol I've grown both a 209 and a 219
It looks heavy to me
Enjoy your time at the weigh-offs! Hoping your fruit go heavy.
Thank you.
