I see why this won game of the year because the graphics, expansive world, the fact you’re actions throughout almost the game effects outcomes and the world, the characters, that most of it is voice acted, the mechanics, etc… and all of which that came out at launch and not through DLC… Oh and that it was built ground up, not a copy and paste with improved graphics.
But for the short attention spans of today, it’s not constantly action packed - you see it with the gang here to the end, just wanna kill everything 😅

@@istart2finish238 just say you don't like the genre and move on, just because you don't like turn based games doesn't mean the quality of it is trash. BG3 is objectively the best game and it reflects based on its sales, quality, mechanics, writing, and reviews. It had developers complaining about how good it was for a reason. I don't like souls-like games but I won't complain that it won game of the year because it's not my cup of tea.

the game is boring to watch but has a great storyline if you play it and inmerse yourself. roleplaying and knowing what’s going on is the only way it wouldnt be a snooze fest
