I am a psychologist who watches this channel. I have seen all of the videos. I have seen all of the mothers. I have heard all of the stories. You are the most beautiful mother imaginable. I was thinking how lucky Marek was to have you as a mother. You could feel your strength and your goodness as you told us of your son. The way your Marek loved you was phenomenal. Facetiming you to make sure you were okay, photobombing you, he knew your love and it was his shelter in the storm. I was doing okay until I got to the part where you said you lost another son and then the pain of your loss was just so great. You already know what an incredible human you are and what an outstanding mother and now everyone who views this will know of a boy named Marek and his mother who loved him.

I work in addiction counselling for young people, and I have watched most of these films. I must say that the story of this beautiful Mom and her unique, gifted, marvelous son has broken my heart. How anyone could hurt this angelic young man, be so reckless, destructive and inhuman with this family and their precious hearts, is unfathomable. Asperger's is absolutely exhausting. It tests everything that you have as a parent. It is like having a wide eyed, brilliant child in a man's body. Every day, every situation with every breath in me is spent trying to protect him, at the detriment of my relationships. I have mad respect for you for allowing Marek to be....Marek! I am so afraid of letting my son loose in this very cruel world. Deep down inside, I know that I need to allow him to spread his wings, but fear of his wellbeing absolutely paralyses me! I have a feeling that if my son were able to speak to your son he would reassure you that he was happy because you allowed him to LIVE. Hes about to be 4 and able to start pre-k next month but I'm thinking about homeschooling and allowing his therapist in the home. Its just plan scary and very much frustrating because people are mean and can be hurtful to any person that appear weak or timid. Im so sadden hearing this story.
It is a cruel world out there for kids that are just different, loud, outgoing and real. The world is cultivating and cheering for perfect humans, which is impossible, who doesn’t procrastinate in their teens years? This was a normal child, doing normal things. The twin kindness and joy in both Marek and Mother's eyes. As an aside, you know what else I really love about these videos? They are like portraits... we see the absolute humanity of each individual and every single one of them is beautiful. Every one. First of all may I say you are a very good speaker, you know the words to say and they just flow from you. This story was happy and sad at the same time. his funny ways and your closeness to him was wonderful, he couldn't have picked out a better mother for himself. You were caring and right on top of his life. You didn't say who gave him this pill and if he asked for it or someone just gave it to him and the reason he said 2 days before I;m dying. Another heartbreaking story, but he was so loved, supported and protected by you and your family. I had a coworker in the 1990's with a son who had an Asperger's diagnosis, when psychologists were just declaring it an element of Autism. But before that it was very confusing as to the learning disabilities he had. And he finally got the right treatment. Having a different approach to things can be difficult for kids growing up who are going through the school system. I'm so sorry for your loss, and thank you for sharing his story. 😘
Getting diagnosed correctly is key. He was mistakenly diagnosed with ADHD, but they were wrong. With ADD or ADHD, they can never focus no matter if it's a subject if interest. Asperger's mimicks but with Asperger's, they focus mostly on their interests and will get into adult conversation at a very, very young age. They also hate change in any routine
Coming up on my little brother’s 2 year anniversary of his death from this horrible drug. It still feels surreal. I have 2 sons with autism, and none of these stories have hit like this one. I watched quite a few of these documentaries today, but your story upset me most. While all are devastating, this wasn’t a “true” overdose by taking too much knowingly. This sweet boy was murdered. He had no idea what could happen to him. Absolutely despicable how they search high and low for Matthew Perry’s dealer, but I’m guessing this perpetrator is free? Fentanyl deaths aren't always one pill can kill. Fentanyl is tasteless and odorless and can be masked in food and drinks as well

First of all may I say you are a very good speaker, you know the words to say and they just flow from you. This story was happy and sad at the same time. his funny ways and your closeness to him was wonderful, he couldn't have picked out a better mother for himself. You were caring and right on top of his life. You didn't say who gave him this pill and if he asked for it or someone just gave it to him and the reason he said 2 days before I;m dying. How would he know that? I sure hope you can get on track with your life because you must remember you were a great mom to him and may he rest in peace.

He reminded me of my brother. My mom babys him. At 21 he doesn’t leave the house or talk to strangers. I felt bad she did that but people pray on the diagnosed autism all the time. Glad I saw this my mother has to see this

I echo all the comments made here about what an incredible mother you are! I am so sorry he was murdered. Were the providers of this drug ever prosecuted? Marek was a precious soul. I have a grandson who has Asperger’s. You told his story so beautifully. Hopefully he saves others through his experience.

You are a beautiful soul,your son was definitely manipulated and press for who he seen because it's sad to say he probably crossed paths with a dealer and was probably given a free sample he was confused because they asked him if he partied,and the reason I know is because I was a active addict for 25 years and now I'm actively in recovery for 3 years now,very moving story and these videos are a reminder of surviving what should have took me,prayers for you mam.

He would never approach people like that and he didn't party. He went to a party a couple of times and couldn't handle the crowd
Another heartbreaking story, but he was so loved, supported and protected by you and your family. I had a coworker in the 1990's with a son who had an Asperger's diagnosis, when psychologists were just declaring it an element of Autism. But before that it was very confusing as to the learning disabilities he had. And he finally got the right treatment. Having a different approach to things can be difficult for kids growing up who are going through the school system. I'm so sorry for your loss, and thank you for sharing his story. 😘
Asperger's is often misdiagnosed
Getting diagnosed correctly is key. He was mistakenly diagnosed with ADHD, but they were wrong. With ADD or ADHD, they can never focus no matter if it's a subject if interest. Asperger's mimicks but with Asperger's, they focus mostly on their interests and will get into adult conversation at a very, very young age. They also hate change in any routine

I watched quite a few of these documentaries today, but your story upset me most. While all are devastating, this wasn’t a “true” overdose by taking too much knowingly. This sweet boy was murdered. He had no idea what could happen to him. Absolutely despicable how they search high and low for Matthew Perry’s dealer, but I’m guessing this perpetrator is free? I pray he will be punished and that your family can heal knowing you were the light in your son’s life on Earth. ❤️
