The amount of time you say “Ali is going to love it” ugh warms my heart! I grew up seeing couples and marriages not valuing each other that seeing how genuinely excited you get knowing all the small little things that will put a smile on your husband makes me so happy! And Ali is such a gem to you as well. You guys could be living under a bridge but it would be the most loved filled bridge!

You can always use the cut glass crystal glasses in your bar for "adult" mixed drinks! You won't be upset if someone accidentally breaks one. Just a thought.

After watching the whole video, I have always adored what she has done. This whole change I'm not understanding. Maybe I'm not sophisticated enough. I liked everything way better before. I especially don't like the floors or the living room coffee cushion thingie. Wayyyy too big. Ultimately, I think Lydia is a better decorator than this person she hired. Hopefully, she will allow herself to control it more.

I was wondering if you would ever consider doing a video about the evolution of the interior of your house? Your house has changed so much from when you first moved in, so seeing the changes through the years in a side-by-side video and hearing the stories behind these changes would be so interesting! 🤩
For your master shower perhaps consider a tiled floor as opposed to that plastic tray (I think you said a new plastic shower tray was delivered). Tiled shower floors feel so much better and look great.

I think those trays are the way English do it. I've seen two uk bathrooms renovations on RUclips recently and they both use trays. I'm in Australia. Tiles all the way! :)

I am confused now , seeing as you have been researching interior design I thought you have put the ideas together yourself and its all your ideas ,but its a design teams ideas and you dont even know whats in the boxes or where things go !. Have a go and the confidence of designing and sourcing things yourself you dont need Lauren , as its far more rewarding and cheaper than paying a design team and who cares what anyone else thinks if you like it , give it ago . I dont even think people are influenced by anyone on you tube so dont worry what people think , but I have been influenced this week by a lady who sailed single handedly round the world in her small boat , what an achievement !

The dinning table is beautiful but I’m not sure about those chairs. They look like outdoor chairs. And maybe antique overload on that end of the kitchen? I feel like they don’t blend well with the barstools, and the overall feel of the kitchen, cabinetry etc. I think I prefer the Neptune table and the old chairs she had. It was a great balance of old and new. Well have to wait and see what the end result looks like.
Chairs definitely look like they are more suited to a conservatory/sunroom.
For me content-wise, pets, gardening & garden centers, home decor, cookie hauls etc is like just up my street :D throw in some cooking, series recommendations, self care & lounge wear hauls and I'm happy!

The kitchen reno has been such a massive makeunder, I'm just astounded at how much you spent to turn a beautify, airy space into a dark, dingy one with cheap AF looking furniture and a table that looks like something you'd find at a campground.
Lucky it's not your kitchen then! The world would be a boring place if everyone had the exact same taste :)
But the beauty is, you get to decorate your kitchen however YOU want and for no one else. Opinions can be shared respectfully, and sometimes can be held altogether, in case you'd forgot.

Agree!! I like some of it, but she should have just completely gutted out that kitchen entirely to really "remodel" a space. It's all or nothing. She's constantly changing furniture!!! I get a bit confused. She has soooo much at her disposal!!! Yet seems never satisfied. I don't understand what the Ikea sofas are still doing there. I like Ikea but I'm flabbergasted that those sofas are still her "aesthetic" since they're inexpensive. But she has a $$$$ Louis Vuitton chest. Doesn't vibe.

I love the dining table so much, I don't know what is it about them but I always enjoy putting my laptop, working on this kind of surfaces, trying to balance my coffee cup on the cracks. Such a feeling!

I'm so excited to get back to working on myself, getting up early and having to-do lists. I intend to write down again exactly where I see myself in the next 3 years, to use this as motivation. Additionally, I made a stash of healthy cookies, I look forward to them every morning.
I had similar dining table and I sold it because you can’t comfortably put a glass of water or wine down without it wobbling or falling. Big pain..
The rug is not the right size I'm sorry but... it won't work when entertaining and it doesn't look correct. No one wants to be half on half off a rug whilst sitting at the table .. wish Lauren had helped you chose the correct size

The floor is giving me outdoor vibes and the grout looks like glue. A more beige color would’ve matched it better.

Kitchen carpet is too small for the area. All legs of the chairs should sit on the carpet.

I am not so sure this is the definite end of lockdowns, unfortunately... It will probably come back in autumn, seeing how situation looks globally.

The new chairs are so beautiful, and I love the table too with the natural wood. The ottoman doesn’t seem to be very practical though because it would be so easy to spill food or drink on the fabric.
Would you consider adding another small cabinet and shelves beside the fridge to balance it out.?, looks strange that wall of cabinets not being symmetrical, it wasnt as noticeable when the kitchen entryway door was there before the new archway.

I have to say, same here. Just generally the color is not what I imagined it would be. As with the rest of the design also. Feels very mishmashed now.
I agree. The colors and the pieces, lighting, etc, don't really work together. But she seems to love it.

The table is too big and long for the space, and the chairs are completely wrong for it! They should be simple old style high back wooden chairs (like Anne of green gables period lol) to give the room some height. Everything is just too blocky.

I have a similar-ish table from Restoration Hardware and I just clean it with a little brush and dustpan or with my cordless Dyson reduced down to the handheld size. And the more oil stains or marks, the more lived in it looks.

Have you tried Porter with an 'antler' to chew on....they last forever, they don't ever splinter..... they were a God send for our 2 puppies!!

The flooring is lovely looking, table not my style but it’s a big table. I think the footstool is too big for the space just a little less wide it would be lovely. The bathroom sounds as if it’s going to be gorgeous and I am surprised it’s not been touched before now 🤣, can’t wait to see what type of bed you’ve gone for 😘

I understand wanting pieces that have depth and character but i mean the chairs look like theyve been pulled from a school hall thats been bombed in a war. New ottoman is pretty nice, ideal for the cheese board nights

We are in lockdown in Munich since mid of december and I think there is no end in the next months. I hope that you can enjoy your time after lockdown, we are all looking forward to this time of the year. I feel like she’ll redo the kitchen cabinet/countertop at some point. It’s still looking too modern for the antique vibe she’s trying to achieve.
Modern? Its country in a wabi sabi style but not really.. dont get it. Some things i get like the barstools & the table (that imperfect i love , thats wabi sabi style) but then the round "antique " new table for under the stair its a mis.
Rug is to small (sorry but just is) to fit like should be is when you pull your chair from the table the backlegs still needs to touch the rug

I'm confused. At the beginning of the vlog she states she eats clean when on a juice cleanse( roasted veg, fruit etc). Then proceeds to eat biscuits, drink wine and eat a Dominoes pizza. She is very confusing.
She records over a week's time. The cleanse was only for 3 days.
To be fair, I start a Monday optimistic about eating well and by Tuesday it’s hit the skids!
Fair enough, I hadn't thought about the time lapse in the vlog. However, if she suffers with gluten issues then why not avoid pizzas? Didn't she say she was overhauling her diet?

My sarge (big boxer mix rescue) chewed everything, destroyed 2 mattresses.. he is a perfect good boy now, but it was a journey! Just a thought on the kitchen chairs, we had some antique ones growing up and they always ended up snagging our clothes. Best wishes on all of the changes, I hope you love it!

I think a good video would be talking about the personal finance side of her business. I think transparency is helpful to show people how they can improve their own finances.
