Lydia, the way you do the ice cubes is to fill them half full, freeze, then fill the remainder and freeze, then the flowers are in the middle. Also use distilled water so the cubes are clear. The flowers you used are not edible.

Love your bed! You can actually buy pillows and shams that are king size so there isn’t any gaps in the pillows across your bed. That way they are continuous across the headboard. Really gorgeous, love it!

When you have a child, you see that all the other stuff just doesn't matter. You're going to say how stupid I was to make such a big deal of a bed, or wasting time making flower ice cubes. It's like your up all night, the little things you start to appreciate is a shower. You want to take pictures of your first born, video it's every move. With the second, it's a lot less. Pictures and videos are outings or events. Then comes the third child. Pictures, videos HA! Not a chance. You're out numbered, your arms are always full either with babies, or baby bags. Multi-tasking is a whole new level. You're nursing while standing. Nightly routine looks like drop in bed and forget everything else.
I have three boys and I get excited still over the little and big home purchases I make always have been like that. Having children didn’t change anything for me. It’s the little things I guess we are all different. 🤍

The book is very different and it is the real story of a California couple who ventured into living in Italy 🇮🇹 and buying a sort of run down villa. You will love it.🥰

Found using Distilled water in your ice mold(with flowers, etc.) your squares/ spheres come out crystal clear not as frosted water.

Firstly I'm a big fan but I was a bit surprised when you said US furniture is nicer than ours in the UK, personal opinion of course but I think you could have left that one out.
It's MY opinion that the furniture in the US is far nicer than Canada. It's all personal style but they do have the best deals. Not to mention the massive variety of furniture manufacturers across the US vs Canada. She is not wrong.
@@LaineSterlingHale As I said it's down to personal opinion, everyone is entitled to that and of course the US will always naturally have a wider variety / choice. You are correct, her comment wasn't wrong but it wasn't right either. She is entitled to purchase whatever from wherever she pleases, but we are entitled to have an opinion on comments made and that was mine. I am a huge fan of Lydia's but I just felt sad when she said that, there was no malice aimed at her.

That comment also made me raise my eyebrows. I think it’s the way it was worded rather than the intention behind it. The grass always appears greener no matter which side of the fence you live.

A year in Provence is a classic! You should also read ‘My Family and Other Animals’ by Gerald Durrell. They’ve made it into a tv series on Netflix. The book is wonderful and very funny too. Xx

It’s been so great to hear you talking more about having kids. Firstly I think everyone should do what’s right for them! I do think you would love it. And it’s so nice that you were praising all the moms with several kids! I have one - Nora - and an embryo on ice. But I am a little nervous to go from one to two!!
