You are some sort of wizard! This video has taught me more about flatscreen troubleshooting than I ever dreamed of in a simple straightforward way. I have fixed 3 flat screen TVs in my lifetime. A new power supply board always fixed it. A few days ago we had a hellacious lightning storm here in Houston. It took out my 75 inch Samsung 4K TV. Using a modified engine hoist from Harbor freight I removed it from the wall, took the back off, did some preliminary checks on the power supply. Fuses were good, no solid state devices were shorted, but I sent away for a power supply anyway. Then I saw your video. I put back the old power supply board and disconnected the connector to the main board. The LEDs immediately lit up. From there I disconnected all the other connections to the main board except for the power supply and the LEDs were dormant. The mainboard was the only thing hooked up to the power supply now besides the LED connection. I'm happy and sad and the same time. Had no idea about the connection disconnection technique, very valuable! The sad part is I already ordered the power supply which is not the problem. Too late to cancel. I just ordered the mainboard a couple hours later. But it was worth it, I would've never thought about this on my own. I am from the old school back in the tube days and my success with flat screens, well, it's not always the power supply! God bless!
@@Ta21961 I had ordered TV parts from eBay. Also available in Amazon. In some other RUclips video another store name was also mentioned. When ordering parts make sure the image of the part you are ordering matches exactly as that of your old part in addition to matching the part number explained in this video. Good luck!

Excellent and thorough explanation. After watching it a second time I was able to determine what I needed for my TV. Just saved a $1500 TV and it is now mounted in my living room. 😊 Thank you!
So far, I feel this is the best TV troubleshooting video that I had seen! Very clear explanation narrated in a clear calm voice that each and every word is understood. The Elimination method of finding a faulty circuit board card saves time and uses no complicated measuring test equipment. The voltage checks were clearly shown and explained! A big thumbs-up for you, Sir! Please keep p the good work! Mahathev Krishna from Malaysia!
First RUclips channel that I found with some body that I can really under stand and what I really notice is that he actually responds to the peaple very important keep up the good work.
You are the best, sir. Thanks to your clear, step-by-step instructions, I was able to pinpoint main board problem with my Samsung 55JU6500, the exact TV you happened to be working on in one of your videos. Replaced main board and voila--problem solved and I don't have to go out and purchase a new set after all. Keep up the great work you're doing and God bless!
I HAVE WATCHED SOOOOO MANY VIDEOS TRYING TO DIAG TVS I FIND!!!!! Today sir you just showed me the way i will do so for now on... Thanks my man and I will be messaging you for a little more input..
Good to know old school dudes are still out there fixing shit. So many people throw things away and buy new. I always try to fix something if it's broken and sometimes it's cheap and easy.

Really enjoyed watching your video! Simple down to earth instructions on how to check for problem parts and it was explained to where anyone with a little bit of knowledge to understand. Thank you
Very good video 👌. You are a good teacher who patiently and thoroughly explains each step giving viewers time to absorb and understand. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Great video I have no back lights or screen at this point when I unplugged the motherboard from the power supply no back lights turned on so from what you’ve shown me it seems like the back lights would have to be replaced?
@@toyman91 what that is showing you is - your problem is either the backlights or the power supply board. You can check further to bettering your odds of replacing the correct part. I use a backlight tester to test backlights and an ohm meter to test voltages at that plug you disconnected on the power supply side. There is a legend printed on the board near the connector. What is the model number of your TV? That will let me know the age of your tv. That’s another variable. Good luck. You can repair it.
Way helpful for a "shade-tree" electronics guy like myself. Genuinely appreciate the video. You gave me troubleshooting methods I need. About to get to working on a SAMSUNG LN46A500T1FXZA built in 2008. She cycles to start, but won't. Used to take longer and longer to start, then eventually she wouldn't start. Can hear the relay trying to start up as it cycles and kicks in. Feelin a lot better about cracking the case on this set now. Thank you for the video.
great video. I have a couple 55-in Rohr led TVs no sound lights or power they are only 3 years old and just used in summer. gonna open them up tomorrow. thanks for the tutorial you are very good, get back to you for parts
Out of all the possible solutions and DIYs out there. This is thee best one. Do you think that them flex panel cables can at some point become damaged and cause that on and off issue ?
If you go through the process on the video and disconnect the main board from the power supply. Apply power and see if the backlights comes on and stays on. That will determine what direction you should go in next.
Indeed! This fella is on it. Not to many people repair boards but this is very basic and easy enough that most people can just replace a board and be up and running.
A lot of what you said was good information, but this is the first time I've ever seen someone work on electronics with a dangling metallic bracelet... -100 for that, dude
Hi there i am in Canada and I just subscribed to your channel. Watched your Samsung videos and you walk through the circuits very well. I have a few Samsung plasma tv sets and other brands as well. My question is this Are plasma tv sets still worth fixing and are there parts available for doing so. The last Samsung tv was from today and the picture portion is missing but the sound is there. For this set I can certainly get the model number if I am able to go forward with repairs. Name here is Warren
Great lesson. You made the process very logical. I'm building up the experience via videos like this one to go ahead and repair my Samsung plasma PN64 set
thank you brother your videos are very helpful i have a samsung 55KS9500 model which turn on and off in a matter of seconds but there is back lights and sounds with no picture. what do you think is the problem because i have called samsung and when they checked they said i have to replace the hole screen.
I would inspect the t-con board. But before i do that i would take a voltage ohm meter and see if i have 12 volts dc on both side of the fuse on that t-con board. If voltage is not found, you have a bad main board and or possible LVDS flat cable. Hit me back - lets see if we can fix this tv. Hit me back
thanks for your great down to earth step by step trouble shooting. my samsung LN32D403E4D screen or sound does not come on, only red light on front comes on. when power button is pushed it goes out and a quiet ding a ling on speakers. I have tried unplugging everything and no change so I am suspecting the main power board. if power is getting to the red light, does that mean power board is ok? Steve
Steve, you have a lcd tv which means no led for the backlight. What I have ran into with this model tv is miniature CFL bulbs powered by ballasts. If either fail, there are no replacement that is new out there. You could have swollen bad capacitors on the power supply that needs to be replaced.
@@Patch1stripeTVParts thanks I was able to find a power supply on ebay for $17 and put it in and bingo the tv works!! I fixed my Samsung TV type QE55Q65RALXXN 55 inch , isolating (paper 3 mm wide) some contacts in the flat cable as shown in your fantastic video. Everything is already working for 5 days now, except the st by indicator. Do i be aware of change of fire anytime?
Did you possibly disconnect the standby light connector? Next, sound like you have done nothing that would cause a fire. Fuses in different part of your TV are there to protect your internal electrical circuits.
Yes I once disconnected the st by connector but all functions of the remote control work excellently as all functions of the tv. Thank you for your help and fast answer. Greetings from the Netherlands
Great video ! Hi, I have a Samsung model UN50H5203AF. The sound works but no image. I can see an image by illuminating the screen with my cellphone. I tried to do a reset with the remote control, the TV button, etc... What is the first thing I should try or change? I can't see any back light (no holes or white plastic as shown)
Great videos!! Im working on a un75ru8000f. Power board voltages are all good, Back light is working and there is sound on power up. I changed out the main board and it was no help, Not sure where to go from here, can you help.
Hello, have you tried disconnecting the wifi module from the main board then apply power to see if you tv comes on? If so, connect a A/V source or antenna to the tv disconnect the t-con board from the main board - power up the tv and see if the tv comes on audio? Let me know what happens.
Thank you for showing us this process of troubleshooting! I actually was on the edge of my seat wondering what the problem was, until you mentioned there was no problem. Awww man! 😂😂😂 Now I understand though. Thank you for this brother. I hope to learn more from your videos.
Hey great video. Just saw your channel now and am subscribed! I do have a question with my tv and was gonna see if you know any ideas on what I should do. My samsung UN49MU6290 TV will not power on and will not show a standby light. I replaced both the power board and the main board. When I disconnect the cable going from the power board to the main board then the backlights will turn on. I checked the voltage from the power supply and the chart says it needs to be 12V and when I have it disconnected from the main board it will show the correct 12v but when I have it connected to the main board it shows 9v. I am not sure what to do next.
Hello, leaving the main board connected to the power supply, disconnect the wifi module and the t-con board. Using the remote power on the tv, If it comes on connect the following parts one by one to see which of the two is killing your back light. That will be the component to replace. Hope this helps
@@Patch1stripeTVParts this model tv doesnt have a separate t con board. I unhooked both the flat cables and the wifi module and it still wont turn on for me.
I have a reboot loop situation. on for 3 sec.and only shows the channel label and turns off and reboots over and over again. I have troubleshooted everything to the power board only hooked it up to the led lights and this still blink and power down. Can I conclude it is the power supply? or can it be something else like an Eeprom on main board. I have UN55FH6003f. Thank you for all your video and I learn a lot. But not effort obviously.

Well done videos by somebody who understands systematic troubleshooting, and how not to go down a rabbit hole. Divide the job in half, see which half changes things and keep going along that path the same way. I commend you sir on your common sense and straight forward approach. This method works on the most complicated systems and also in finding a clog in a pipe - divide and conquer!
Very thorough walk-through. Do you have an updated version for a Series 8 (UN65RU800DFXZA, Version AA02 / URU800D). Internal configuration is a little different, there are two flat cables, can't find a good place to voltage check the power supply, and the back light behaves differently (almost a slow strobe) when power supply is connected to power but not connected to the main board board. Once the power supply is connected to the main board (with the IR/wireless/flat cables disconnected) the back light comes on bright then dims and stays constant. All seems to be stable unless I plug in both flat cables, and then the system just continually restarts as soon as "Samsung" displays on the screen. Thank you.
So you need to pursue the IR/wireless/flat cables. Disconnect the wifi first and see if the backlights stay on constant if they don't, leave the wifi disconnected and go to the next connection. You are using a process of elimination so eliminate one thing at a time until the backlight stay on constantly. Then you pursue that path. Hope this helps
I have a standby light, but no led lights. I have 12.76 volts going to the main board, and 3.5 volts going to the power. Then I checked the volts going to the led plug and have nothing. Soooo, doesn't that lead to a bad power board? And thanks, this was a great presentation leading me around this thing. The Model I'm referring to is a UN60J6200AFXZA Looking forward to a reply and thanks in advance.
We are the best resource for hard to find parts. What is the model number of your TV? If you have access to, what is the part number on you led strips?
The t-con board is probably fine. You have to resolve your mainboard issue first. I think that will solve all of your problems. I will check my warehouse to see if I have that part number. I will contact you in a couple of days.
is the heatsink on the mainboard removable? I have a frame 3.0 samsung, endless reboot, untill i freeze the main cpu heatsink then it boots up and works fine till it heats up again.... i want to take apart the heatsink, clean it and either apply tape or paste to see if that gets it working...
I have a UN58AU7000FXZX that has greenish screen on right side and normal on left. It is hanging on the wall about 8 feet from a patio door that is open a lot to the salt air. Is this worth spending time fixing it
Hello, I would take the back off the TV and disconnect and reconnect all of the flat cables between the main board and the t-con board if you have one and if you do the same to the two small flat cables connected between the t-con board and the LED panel. This should resolve your problem. If not, swap position of the two small flat cable to see if the green screen goes the side of the screen.
You really help me to find out I needed a main board for a Samsung tv. Installed it and the tv came on but the color was green and purple. Then I was dumb and went into the secret service menu and calibrated color, tv shut off and would not come on. No red standby light. If I push and hold power button the Samsung sign will come on but then the tv will shut down right away. have I bricked the tv or is there a fix. Any help would be appreciated.
I am a servicer and I never go into the service menu. If you replace a main board with the exact part number - no problems. I would at this point purchase a new board from a good seller and be done with this repair. Think about this, the microprocess you programmed is only on the board that was installed at the time you went into the service menu. Change that board it probably was defected when it arrived.
Hi mate, Great video! My Samsung won’t turn on and has a ticking sound coming form the power source. The tv doesn’t have backlights turn on when the I disconnect the mainboard from the power source. However the ticking stops when I disconnect the wifi module. Could this be shorting the tv causing it to not turn on? I have also already replaced the power source board. Any help is appreciated. Cheers 👍
there are two section that the power supply is divided into - ac power which is converted into dc voltage to power the rest of the electronic device. Stay away from the ac power supply - very dangerous if you are not certified or qualified to troubleshoot. Now the lead connector between the main board and the power supply is dc voltage. Be careful as well. If you think the power supply board is your problem, just purchase a new one and avoid the complications.
Thank you for such an awesome troubleshooting video! You are the bomb! I concluded that my TCON surface mount fuse is blown. Do you have this fuse for sale or can you advise where I can buy it/amp rating? Thanks again I am stoked... regards Vinny D

Hello, I have a jvc model lt-58ma887. My problem is the jvc start up screen will come on for about 1 minute then the tv will shut off.. what part do I need to replace.. Thanks for your video.. I have subscribed to your channel and will order my parts from patch1stripe. (I help who helps me) thank you again for being thorough and informative
A Samsung tv is a different creature than a JVC, but they are all led tvs. You can have a power supply with bad solder connection or a main board issue - take the power supply out of the tv and look for cracked circuits like describe in my soldering video. Next after reinstalling the power supply board, let the tv play with the back off until it shuts down then unplug the power cord. Now feel on the chips only on the main board to see if you can find one that is hot to the touch in such a short time. If you do find a hot component, replace the main board. From your description, I don't think bad backlights is your problem. Hope this helps.

Did you try disconnecting wifi module and turn on tv? Did you disconnect t-con board and turn on tv? If your tv did not turn on after disconnecting those two items, you need to replace the main board.
I have a un58m6070 Samsung Smart TV. My wife couldn't get the volume to adjust up and down and so I did a hard reset. Now the LED red light comes on stays on but no picture no sound. I disconnected the cable that goes from the power supply to main board and the back lights come on. I disconnected all ribbon cables Wi-Fi IR from the main board with it connected to the power supply and no backlighting no screen. Is there a return handshake between the main board and power supply? Or is there something on the power supply that is not getting to the main board? Love your videos and subscribing today.
I think you need to go back to when the problem started. You and the hard reset. If push comes to shove, replace the main board. Also, try disconnecting the main board from the power supply and see if you have backlights. If the backlights come on, again replace the main board.
@@Patch1stripeTVParts first of all, thank you for your response and I'm glad I found your videos. I did disconnect the main board and the back lights do pop on. I'm just concerned whether or not the main board might be getting the proper voltages since I'm reading about 3.7 volts which is not ideal. I noticed that they use the spring clips on the boards to maintain a chassis grounding and so my next step is to jumper the ground between the boards to see if that might potentially help. I also ordered an eprom on the remote chance it could be that. I've been looking around for a main board and most of them are sold out of stock although one can be had for around 200 bucks. And therein lies my dilemma. The TV is 3 years old and the main board is half the cost what I paid. Although from what I understand the LED strips are a lot more reliable on Samsung than other TVs. I actually had a Vizio TV that exactly one year and 3 days it lost an LED. I was able to replace the one LED but still had a hard time getting the TV to work properly due to the adhesive method of the lines going from the LCD to the address buffers. I would periodically have to flex the TV to get it to work. You wouldn't by any chance know where I might be able to acquire the schematics for the main board? I'm kind of wondering how they're driving a clock source.
@@Patch1stripeTVParts samsung un58m6070fxza da01. The board in question is bn94-12484x. I did find a bn94- 12484a but it doesn't seem like it would be compatible. It looks like it might have a daughter board for Wi-Fi. Also not sure if there's other major differences. The other curious thing on the power supply legends the minimum voltage going to the LED strips states 150 volts. Measuring j884 I'm reading 312 volts DC unloaded, 212vdc loaded when referenced to chassis ground.
I have an 82" Samsung UN8000 that doesn't turn on, and the power indicator LED on the bottom of the TV is completely off. Is that just a fuse or the power board that needs to be replaced?
Hello, you will have to take the back off of your tv and go through the process, other wise you will be shot gunning your repair with un-necessary parts. This process is proven to work, it will save you time and money.
@@Patch1stripeTVParts Edit: After following your process, I've discovered that I now need to purchase the main board for the 82NU8000 Samsung TV. Do you sell parts? If not, do you know roughly how much it cost? Thanks P1S.
My LCDs do not stay on when power up. When I disconnect ONE of the ribbon cables going to the panel the LCDs stay on. When I connect it back and then disconnect the other cable it stays on. But when BOTH are plugged in the LCD panel flashes like it wants to start then goes out. Since I do not have a T-Con board in this TV and its built in with the main board or the PS, would one of those main boards be bad? Thanks for a GREAT video!
If you are working on a LCD tv that is 10 years old round about. You probably have bad back lights. They are narrow fluorescent tubes that are not available to replace. You will be wasting time and money going any further.

Thank you so much for great video... I’m in a process of diagnosing my Samsung TV model UN49MU7000FXZA, so far what I found is when I disconnect the main board from power supply the back light stays ON without any issues but the minute I connect main board to the power supply the back light glows for a second and turns off automatically. Do you think I should replace the main board, since it’s causing the issues. One thing I noticed is my tv model doesn’t have separate WiFi Antenna and Tcon board, looks like the newer version integrated these into one main board.

Hi, great tutorial! Perhaps you can give me an advice. Have a UE65MU6179 with a BN41-02568 Mainboard (no additional tcon board) that got damaged during thunderstorm. There was only one HDMI port left working so I replaced motherboard and power board as well with second hand boards from a tv with broken panel. Unfortunately it did not work and now the panel is locked in power cycle every 10 seconds no matter if i use the old or the new boards. I even cannot get it to work with old boards that were working before without power cycle. Also replaced the power cable between power and mainboard without success. The backlights are working stable when I plug out the mainboard but when I plug the mainboard back in the panel is restarting every 10 seconds. I have no other components plugged into the mainboard, no wifi module, no speaker, no panel, only the power cable. How can it be that the panel is in power cycle and does not work even with the original boards that were working before? Do you think this is a firmware issue? How can I get this solved when the display keeps rebooting every 10 seconds?
disconnect the wifi module and see if that affect anything. The main board should have been replaced with the exact part replacement. Something is not adding up. The part number is on the long sticker with the barcode and model number on it. On both main boards the part number should be the same.

I have the newer Samsung T-con in the mainboard TVs. When I plug both ribbons from main to the LCD address panel , my TV struggles to stay powered on. When I plug any single 1 of the two ribbons to LCD address , the TV stays on but no picture. So I guess it's the ribbon cables, LCD address board, or something further pulling the TV to power down ? Any tips on what I should do?
First I would swap the ribbon cables around to see if you get the same results which would eliminate the ribbon cables as being your problem. Next I would let the tv come on and stay on for about 2 minutes then unplug power from the unit and feel for hot or warm components on the main board and the LCD address pcb's. If you find components that are over heating that would be you problem area.
I put a new mainboard and powerboard in so those should be good from overheating issues. I'll buy new ribbon cables and go from there! Not sure at all how to work with the PCB address boards because they connect under the metal case to the screen through some orange film connectors

Took it to a RV repair shop they said it was the main board…and wanted $500 to repair…couldn’t do that so I ordered a new board, changed it out and the picture came back but is distorted with lines through it, the sound is back as well…so I got a replacement board…and it does nothing…the back lights intermittently flash, no sound with replacement…so I am not sure what to do…could it possible be the t-con board? Already replaced the power supply board and it wasn’t that…I am ready to give up….I am a nurse not a tv repair person…..but the tv was quite expensive and only 4 years old….any recommendations?
How did you determine that you needed to replace your main board other than what the RV repair shop told you? Next, where/who did you purchase your main board replacement from? What is the part number of both main boards? This information is on the bar code label that also have the model number printed on the same label. Let me know this information so that I can help you. Also did you follow the video and disconnect the main board from the power supply and the backlights come on when you apply power?
Hello sir, I have a Samsung QN075FLLV2H space LED TV 75 inch I have replaced the power board but still not getting any power. I did not use a voltmeter to troubleshoot before replacing the power board, I have disconnected the main board from the power board and still no power or LED lights are coming on. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance
Most of these 75 inch plus TVs that I have encountered lately has needed backlight replacement. I think you need to replace your backlights. Hope this help.
God bless!
glad I could help - thanks.

I would inspect the t-con board. But before i do that i would take a voltage ohm meter and see if i have 12 volts dc on both side of the fuse on that t-con board. Steve, you have a lcd tv which means no led for the backlight. What I have ran into with this model tv is miniature CFL bulbs powered by ballasts. If either fail, there are no replacement that is new out there. You could have swollen bad capacitors on the power supply that needs to be replaced.

Divide the job in half, see which half changes things and keep going along that path the same way. I commend you sir on your common sense and straight forward approach. Do u have parts for qled 85 inch samsung?
no we don't
When you disconnected the main board from the power supply and applied power to the tv, did the backlight come on?
@@Patch1stripeTVParts No they did not. I have no volts at the plug going to the backlights.

Is it volts ac that you were checking on your main power supply board.
there are two section that the power supply is divided into - ac power which is converted into dc voltage to power the rest of the electronic device. Stay away from the ac power supply - very dangerous if you are not certified or qualified to troubleshoot. Now the lead connector between the main board and the power supply is dc voltage. Be careful as well. If you think the power supply board is your problem, just purchase a new one and avoid the complications.

@@Patch1stripeTVParts Actually its the SamsungUN65RU7100F LED. I'm suspect its power supply as I tested the mosfet and I got 120vts on inside pins but only 34vts on outside pins. Way off. Would you also change out ps board?
Well I have determined its one of the small boards that connects to the panel. Not sure how to isolate the fault on that board. Inspected all the ribbon cables and they look fine. Assuming there is a short.
Hi I have a samsung ue40d6200 that won’t power up but has standby light. Managed to open up to see that the back lights are still working. I have seen a guy on eBay selling a ue40eh5300 with broken screen but everything else working. Can I harvest the parts for my tv?
yes - for sure!
Thanks for your quick reply
Hi boss I have here Wanza LED TV 50 inches there's power but black screen and there's no supply voltage on the backlight! Then I try to check the backlight strips there is some bulb not working. What was the exact problem on this, can you help me?Thank you boss...
Sound like you are on top of it. You have to replace the bad led strips. They will shut a tv down every time.
good evening sir. i have SAMSUNG UHD 55 inches model RU55RU7100K when i give power the RED light blinking 2 times continues. how can i know the mother board or power supply has fault.
praneeth fernando You won’t know until you open the back. He actually explained the eliminations process in the first 13 mins.
Wil is correct. You can do this. We are here to help you do it! Let us know how you are coming along.
Thanks Wil for responding. Help is appreciated.
Fantastic video would be nice to see you do that on a real broken tv
Glad you enjoyed the video!
EXCELLENT TIP'S
Glad you like them!
If I have a Samsung TV (Say, 55") can I use it's Main (Logic) Board with another Samsung TV (Say a 65")? It seems like the LVDS output from the Main board should feed any T-COn board. (is LVDS a standard?) Likewise, can I use a power board from one Samsung TV in a different model Samsung TV?
Not so. Most main boards are unique to its model.
Hi! I'm Wilner. I have a TV Samsung Model UN50T8000F is working sometime, sometimes it is not working you can fixing for me please?
replace the main board
I have a Samsung tv and there is not led at all but when hit in the back sometime it will come out. Samsung people came over and didn’t solved anything but taking my money away… I sent you an email about some parts.. hopefully you will have it or If you fix my power board I’ll really appreciate it. Can’t find any replacements no where
what is the brand name, model number. Are the lines horizontal or vertical? Important things to know for me to try to help. Hit me back.
One thing I noticed is my tv model doesn’t have separate WiFi Antenna and Tcon board, looks like the newer version integrated these into one main board.
disconnect the wifi and t-con board from the main board and using the remote or the power button, see if you get back light if you don't replace the main board
Hi I have a Samsung t32e390sx which wont turn on at all. Fuse in plug is ok, Taken the back off and all circuit boards seems ok front and back. Would you have any idea what I need to look at next. Thanks
I would follow the instructions on the video.
Sir your a great ,cuold you please help me to fix my SAMSUNG LED SMART TV(UE32J5205AKXRU-model).The problem is no power the red light is not also blinking
Have taken the back off of your TV yet?
I have a Samsung 4k tv, model UN60J6200AFXZA. Nothing comes on, but when i unplugged the LED strip cable that goes to the power supply the red light comes on once i press the power button on the tv. Could this be a back light issue? Should i be able to see what's on the screen if i flash a bright light on the screen? Because i dont see anything while flashing a light on it.
Go back and follow this video and your questions will be answered. I will help you with addition information and specific questions. Let me know.
@@Patch1stripeTVParts I followed everything in the video, the red light only comes on when i unplug the led cable from the power supply board, i can also now see words moving on the screen when i flash a light on the tv. Also when i unplugged just the lcd panel and powered on the tv i could hear chirping sounds near the led cable. I'm pretty sure it's the back lights, i just don't wanna make a mistake and get the wrong kind of back lights for the tv. Thanks for the help.
I have a vizon vp422 HDTV10A that lights the yellow Vizon symbol and goes white when power button is pushed but then nothing comes on. any suggestions? I dont want to spend money on parts I dont need. steve

Sorry my bad. Should be Vizio

@@salmannasir793 I am having the same issue. Just happened last night out of the blue. The only thing I did that day was connect a Chromecast to the HDMI and the USB to power it. Did replacing the ribbon connectors solve your issue? Thanks, Salman.
I already change the t-con , the power supply and the main board brand new and the tv, samsung un50eh5000f, still won't turn on. Do I have to check the back lights? Please help.
You have changed everything except the backlights.
My tv wont power on and bfr that my remote stopped controlling on/ off switch but it works fr menu options so i opened my tv and i tried to unplug the main board and plug it bak in it started smoking but still back light come on when i unplug it but i can see a burnt black chip on it ,also my tc board wen i unplug it the bak lights dont come on does the mean its bad too?
The t-con board is probably fine. You have to resolve your mainboard issue first. I think that will solve all of your problems. I will check my warehouse to see if I have that part number. I will contact you in a couple of days.
I have a 46" Samsung Smart TV that has backlights on but no sound or picture. I did your process of elimination but can't come up with which part to replace. Any help would be appreciated. Gary W.
Did you ever try disconnecting the wifi module to see if that gives you video? If so have you check that little fuse on the t-con board? Are you getting 12volt dc or so one both sides of that fuse? If all this checks out I would consider replacing the main board. Let me know.
@@Patch1stripeTVParts Thank you for your quick suggestions but I got confused in the process I decided to replace all the boards. Hope that works. Thx, Stay safe & well, Gary W.
Nice BK 520B! So... Do you still use it?
yes, a must when you fix anything!

I still use my sencore sweep circuit all the time. I love that thing. Have an inductance coil thats giving you problems spoof it! I also have 2 bk 490b's for rejuvenating arcade monitors. I love old test equpiment.
I’ve watched all your videos, very informative. I have a Samsung UN65KS8000FXZA….the picture and sound just stopped…black pix with intermittent flashes of light from the back lights.
