THIS MAKES MY INDIAN HEART SO HAPPY! Can't wait to show this to my parents only to have them yell at me about how I wanna make food in a game but not help out in real life XD.
Relatable
Real
"How much are you paying to cook in this little-square-thing instead of in real life? Go get a spoon!"
Horrifyingly relatable 😂
😂
i said this in the main indie world video but this game really does hit home. i’m the daughter of two (south!) indian immigrants and seeing a lot of these recipes really makes me happy. i’m glad people seem to be paying more attention to indian stories
@@ivanchelo3471 if you're going to berate me for note being a "true indian" then at least get what you're talking about right 💀
@@ivanchelo3471 Bro liked his own comments
@@ivanchelo3471 if you not happy about this game. There's a game call Raji an Ancien epic you might say is "cliché" scenario. But when you see than the story is inspired by hinduism mythology and there's hinduism legend included in it.
And for this actual game is not for "us Indian who accept or assume the cliché" . This is not just about food game there a scenario behind it.
And if every video game inspired of mythology, culinary, philosophy and you say Its "cliché" fine ! Think what do you like think.
Buts what's a "cliché" after all ?
And did you ever seen a game inspired by the Europe middle age, greek/viking mythology ? You going to say Its a "cliché" too ?
Cliché exist yes.
Also there's the opportunities to make some research by yourself (in books and etc...) if something wrongs and you can break the cliché with good information.
I think get attached by some food than they mark our childhood (wathever if the food's origins is from Italy, Greek, Germany, American, Japanese, etc...) and that's what the story of this game is going to talk about. Sharing memories through food.
(I put this message here for you Ivanchelo and for the others. ) and if you're not agreed with me Its okay.
I dont blame you, what I am not agreed is to say Its cliché.
(Sorry if the argumentation is messy)
Have a nice to you and everyone
@@ivanchelo3471 You mean Indians that embrace their cultures? That's cliché to you? Kinda sad tbh
@@ivanchelo3471 Embracing a culture doesn't mean being part of all of it
Times are changing, of course you can only like the good things! Why not?
And it wouldn't be the same as you: I don't like bullfighting, but I love dancing my sevillanas and when in a football match our team scores, I hear the whole neighbourhood scream, I love seeing them enjoy it
Why is it so "cliché" or whatever to embrace the good parts and adapting the culture to modern times and morals?
This looks so pretty and delicious! Such a unique looking cooking game
Indeed!!!
I don't know the game but I hope that it teachs the player real recipes
It would be wonderful if you can enjoy a game and in the process learn some recipes
This is second game after Raji, I saw on Nintendo switch which feels pure Indian 😂😂😂
Would you recommend Raji?
@@NothingOfNoteToSeeHere yeah Raji is definitely good. Not groundbreaking gameplay but executed rlly well and really pretty too
Hello
I am under the water
@@RhythmGrizz huh? Explanation?
@@vaultecblue5 that's a meme
A story about a South Indian family navigating family, love, and loss? This is going to emotionally destroy me, isn't it?
*adds to wishlist*
Did u know nintendo is not officially in india yet 😑
that suks
Learned that today listening to the director of it on a podcast.
Nintendo or the game? Cuz im indian im in india and i have a nintendo switch
It will be helpful for those who wants to learn how to cook but if I am not wrong Idlis is a Indian dish so basically on this game we can learn more about how to cook Indian food.
Idlis r indeed indian
This is a really nice artstyle!
Wishlisted this. By far the game in the showcase that intrigued me the most. I LOVE cooking and the art style is so charming.
About 99% of Indian food is way too spicy for my poor sensitive tongue, but it all looks so good here!
Good news is that tomato can be increased and spice decreased in many indian recipes to get a nice, sweeter, more mild version!
Spice, like alchohol - is impacted by tolerance, but differs in that it actually benefits from increased tolerance and repeat consumption. It's addicting, but need to start slow, like with anaheim or jalepeno peppers (remove all seeds!)
@@DuBLD33 The thing is, even jalapeno is too spicy for me. I'm so sensitive that even things like red pepper flakes or large amounts of black pepper will set me out. Once I got a frozen pad thai meal and red chili was the LAST ingredient listed and my mouth was on FIRE
White.

Beautiful looking game with amazing storytelling and great people behind it!!
Hits home right away, that artstyle is fantastic too
This game is pretty much like Cooking Mama but it's made in India.
The artstyle is lovely! 💕
South Indian cooking game... and there appears to be some story around it too. Pretty interesting.
As the child of South Indian immigrants in America, this game seems interesting.
I’m glad they finally made a game for Dalits for other Dalits. As a Dalit aren’t you proud to be a Dalit and having a game about your people
@@HisShadowX You don't even know what that means..
I've had it on wish list for soo long, can't wait to play it
This looks awesome
So beautiful, story telling n graphics
Cooking Mama but good
Cooking mama is better
No, this is better.
Very excited to try this when it comes out!

Wow it looks delicious!
Altho I’m not Indian (am bengali) it’s nice to see a game about a south Asian household
When the kid said "I just want to be Kevin"
I felt that
this looks SO fun and unique!
Indian Cuisine Simulator! Hope you have a strong stomach!
Nice
Well this is different 👍
good job
Hope Nintendo comes to India after they see this
as an ethnically tamil person this game really warms my heart and i really relate to the son since i feel so whitewashed/ westernized nowadays. great game (altho i wish it was longer) and i am living for the representation🤭
OMGGGGGG
Omgosh it's like Indian cooking mama 😍🧡🧡🧡
WHEEEEN? WHERES THE DATEEE???
Dope to see some Tamil rep
Cooking mama but higher budget
U serious?
I just came to check cuz jaby reacted to this.
The world needed an Alegria-lite cooking game
@@ivanchelo3471 not third world actually.
yeah yeah I'll be bawling at the end of this game, I already know
i sobbed for a good ten minutes after finishing this game. im the daughter of tamil immigrants too. It really hit hard. but the gameplay was easier for me because i already knew how to make all the dishes i guess!!!
IM SO EXCITED IM INDIAN TOO RAHHHHH
superpower by 2023
I guess it really is a "Indie" game huh
A love letter for the Cooking Mama fans!
i’m hungry
Oh my gosh THEY ARE INDIAN!!!!!
Wow an indian cooking game
Cool
My friend did the music on this!!!!!!
My dad works at Nintendo
Hello my friend *checks notes* Michelle R!
cooking mama?
Nintendo come to India
My desi parents will be disappointed when I am cooking desi food in a game and not in real life 💀
India gaming rep >
Cooking mama but Indian
the Nintendo game that sure enough, will have the comment section lit up by indian😅
Don't know why it's Teen? can anyone help me this trailer? 🤔🤔🤔
been keeping a watch on this game, and it's great that peeps around the world are getting to know about this game more. indian culture is VERY under-represented in many games (even in indies) and are reduced to just references. there, hence many indians are excited about this game.
India World Nintendo
Charred animal carcass! So wholesome!
Present 3 hours

First but wow dis good
Xbox
Wtf😹
Nah, where's the Indian street food. This game isn't lore accourate
Poo in the Loo
I'm a nintendo fanboy Nintendo, i am disappoint with this indie direct because i have only one brain cell i want triple AAA first party titles, where is the Switch pro, name that i shamelessly stole from Sony because i believe bloomberg 5ever? i don't even know what indie world means is that something you eat? And what the heck is world? Isn't the Earth flat? Isn't the US a planet? I'm a Nintendo fanboy Nintendo you need to show what i want you to show, my uncle works at Nintendo, you must respect me...
Get help
@@bigduke5902 Someone took the bait xD great job, lad. Guess the shoe fits you nicely 🤣
@@raptros Sony fan moment?
@@sslingo Sony? You realize Bloomberg called the "new switch" Switch pro after the ps4 pro? There is no way Nintendo would call it that. I'm impersonarting your average Nintendo fan, i won't give my money to Sony anytime soon. I love my Switch but the fans... Not so much
@@raptros fair, also i always thought everyone considered "switch pro" to just be a placeholder name for the theoretical device. Not the official one.
You could play this game or you could learn to cook.
You can learn both
I'm not Indian, so, I'm not interested
Is this for Hispanic heritage month?
Indians aren't hispanic
Women☕️
Do not want.👎🏾
We didn’t ask you
Boooooooooring
Hey buddy buddy you don’t like video games about Dalits? Your a racist! Dalits are now apart of our culture nothing like going to a Dunkin and seeing a buddy buddy Dalit offer donuts with flies all over them buddy buddy
No thanks
Sucks it has to include dead animals.
Corporate art style, lmfao no thanks
It's a children's book art style, try again!
That's not the corporate artstyle what? Also even that art style can be used in interesting, effective and innovative ways, like in Going Under which is a fantastic rogue lite action game.
It does actually fit the typical traits of corporate art.
Oh wow a corporate memphis woke visual novel
So...if I understand your comment correctly... you're saying brown folks should make games about white people? Please explain further
@@micheller3251 we shouldnt aim to make games about any people, we should make games that are fun
There's nothing "woke" about focusing on a culture or tradition. If that was true, then a third of most anime would be unwatchable
If this were a soul food cooking simulator none of you would shower it with praise. You people are so predictable.
Damn that looks boring.
Yay another 2d indie game that took little to no skill to do
Nice
