I run a cooking channel, and am sick of buying everything from the store. I thought it would be better for my videos, if I grew my own stuff. Thank you for uploading this! Cheers from Vancouver!
You realy are doing well congratulation
That was one of the BEST urban gardens I've ever seen, precisely because it was so small. Most urban gardens I've seen are either bigger or don't use the space as efficiently. I'm WAY impressed, Luay! What an inspiring RUclips post, Rob. Please keep this series going!!!!
Thank you so much! 🙏🏼
Nice ... I love how it combines environmental protection, fun, physical activity and increases independance! A win win situation.
Opposed to modern systems (lose lose) people don't realise
Agreed!
He's doing an excellent job! Inspiring for sure!
Thank you!
Nice job , you got the gift .
Very nice set up too.
I am also quite impressed with your videos , one of the best I've come across .
Your voice is pleasent easy to follow relaxed and educational .
I'm a master gardener 47 years experience and I still learned .
I had always had more than enough for a small family business w stand and greenhouse . Of course I composted a 5 bin system .
Well I moved to the city when the kids left home . I started talking over the sidewalks and any spot w dirt .
I have a 4 by 10 ft compost , leaded soil and plenty of other challenges . Guerilla gardening is not for everyone . Then I found the black grow bags . Oh boy l have 100 of them filled and planted , the company next door gave me a much a I wanted loam and composted bark mulch .. heaven with my pick ax in hand .
I need urban feedback .. hose hooked to my bathroom shower out window .. I manage lead with deep rooted plant, keeping soil ph around 5.4 and mulching .. I don't use on what I eat . And don't compost tree leaves .
Testing shows I'm winning the war .. want to start a urban doorway service . Please help
This video makes me happy and just goes to show that you don't really need a lot of space to make growing food at home a reality! Great set-up and looking forward to seeing more of these videos :) Thanks Rob as always for never disappointing with your content.
Making me even more excited for my little garden. ❤ from a Jamaican vlogger 👋
You have a great space! Pretty comparable to my backyard space in NJ. Love this setup!
Thank you!
I'm putting my totes in a row like you did in an empty area I didn't notice before. Thank you for an inspiring video.
Good job... We can do this!! Even if everyone just grows 10-25% of their diet it will have a HUGE impact!!!
love this way of living!
Great video. Everything is possible with some ingenuity.
Such an impressive small though abundant garden you've grown.
Hi Rob, very worthwhile video. Would like to see more videos with this video. Thank you
Awesome ! Getting so many ideas for when I leave home :) Going to try grow some herbs and quick foods inside when I go to uni.
Great video! Very thankful for your channel
Nice! I expanded my urban garden from 400 to 600 sq ft last fall, using cardboard/compost no-dig method. I'm in NB. Also have 20 growbags and 4 raised beds. Always looking for ideas and tips! I'm envious of your peach tree! A bit too cold here, I have apple and pear trees though. The silver lining in these terrible times is that a lot of people turned to gardening.
Thank you Luay for the tour of your fabulous productive and beautiful garden. Well done. This must be a joy to wake up to and go and pick your food.
Living in Montreal Canada this is perfect for me! Thx 😊

Glad you like it.

Great video! It is amazing the abundance that can come out of a small backyard!
So excited for more in this series!
Hey Rob, I am really excited for this series, it is a great idea to start showing home gardeners and urban homesteads to inspire people to start growing on their own.
I’ve been growing in small places since I began growing my own. I look forward to my next space to grow, and am very thankful for the space I have now! I love it, thank you for sharing!
Incredible use of space and succession planting! Thanks for sharing.
Rob, this series is awesome, I like the style. Luay is an awesome gardener & his beautiful garden is so well designed. It’s not a jumbled mess, it’s so pleasing to look at. It’s soothes my soul 🌞
The crop in His back yard looks so healthy and scrumptious. Plants look healthy. I enjoyed watching that!.
Thank you so much. I have a small backyard and I'm so looking forward to doing what you've done. 🇨🇦
wow- so inspirational! thank you for sharing your beautiful garden and plantings.
You are pretty busy with your gardening. What a large variety of food. Well done my friend.
great point, using potted plants for kitchen herbs. you can literally snip directly from the living plant to plate!! thanks for pointing out this inspirational fellow, Rob.
I love the square pots in the front. I only use square pots now so I don’t waste the space between the round pots. I can fit so much more in.
Very nice. I really want to grow more food this year, so appreciate every kind of inspiration… With a war going on not too far away from here, we can already feel the impact on supply chains… so best thing to do is to be prepared and become as self-sustaining as we can.

Hi!
Thank you Rob. You really inspired me that's why I have urban garden also in our place. Thanks for sharing your idea.
Wonderful tour! Your garden is a credit to you.
I love the backyard space! I definitely need more experience and help with growing my own food. It's been trial and error so far. Thanks for the video! 😊
🙏🏼
Awesome! I have a Community Garden and i jam a lot into a small space. Every year I try to plant more.
I love the backyard space! I definitely need more experience and help with growing my own food. It's been trial and error so far. Thanks for the video!
This is so amazing, thank you so much!!!
So many clever ways to utilise small spaces. Thank you
Rob!
I have just found you. Shouting to you from Jamaica. I am very impressed with your gardens. Will copy some of your strategies. Love that with the cloth mesh, also you could use window mesh to keep off the moths. You have stirred my gardening fever! Thanks so much for sharing.
Very informative and useful video. Thanks.
Wow! I'm so inspired by this! The size of your space should'nt be a hindrance to growing your own food! I love this! 😉🌸🌺❤️
I love the title.
This fellow and his garden is impressive.
Thank you for this video! Shows growing food in a small space isn’t as hard as some other think. I’m in Calgary ab, and I aspire to do something like this someday once I have a fenced yard.
Beautiful!! Great job with use of space!
You have a very beautiful and healthy vegetable garden.
Inspiring, for sure. That's awesome.
So neat and tidy, I'm really impressed! I'm sure it got cleaned up for the camera....but still, wow!
Beautiful garden masha allah... May this bring lots of mercy health and goodness in you life. Don't leave growing garden.... All the best..
Super👍! Super👍! Super👍!
I love how Luay grows organically. I have a small yard and mostly a "driveway garden" where I grow organic herbs and some flowers for bees! I love all pollinators, but have only had 1 hummingbird in 2020. I still have more to learn. I want to ask Luay if he has a squirrel or chipmunk problem there? My pear and apple trees were decimated by the squirrels & chipmunks. His fruit trees are amazing! I love the steel gutter idea & may try that. I'm not very DIY though. Thank you for sharing.
so cool, im going to reach out to the folks at my local community garden and see if they have any plots left
what an incredibly productive space he has.
This is great!!!! THANK YOU!!!!
You have encouraged me to get more plants in my growing area.
You're a true treasure.
Definitely given me ideas to incorporate in my urban growing community. I'm gonna used raised beds as a fence line in the front to connect with my neighbourhood.. Appreciate
Awesome
Bagus banget kebunnya,suka.
Thank you for the inspiration! My 5-year goal right there!
Wow amazing
Now I see This is possible in Toronto
I’m going to get some more buckets for my patio
Love this!
Your doing good things thank you I appreciate you
Garden from BORNEO here..........

Great video thanks and hello fro. Scotland
Thank you for sharing this video....
I am sharing
Wow this is really my dream! You really made it in life !!!
well done --thanks!
Welldone love ur garden.
I enjoyed that! I grow in a similar space to yours in Brampton Ontario!
Klaus
Hello Rob 🌎... Thanks.
Love the rain gutter Idea. Would be great for microgreens as well.
Impressive small scale garden
I think my favorite example here is the waist-high "salad bar". I am wondering what you mean by "pest pressure" and how raising the bar would help. I can see that in my rainy climate having a salad bar of this type would be incredibly helpful with regard to keeping the greens out of the rain (and therefore prevent them from getting splashed with mud) and also away from the slugs.
Some great ideas.
Awesome.
I like the spuds in bags idea
SO NICE!!!!!!!!!!
Very nice Garden. I'll try to do this.
This is lovely and inspiring! If you can do all of this in Toronto Canada, that’s amazing!
Wow 😍
Your community garden must really be located in a good part of the town or city. We were stationed in the state of Washington and I was gonna rent a plot. But gardeners weren’t even able to harvest their own crops since people would steal them unfortunately. But you’ve given me a lot of inspiration and ideas on how to start my garden. My space is about the same as yours. Thank you for sharing.
Intimacy encourages stealing. Thus, most community gardens in Toronto are in high foot traffic areas.
thank guy for
share
Very inspiring 👍
Outstanding!!! Not only functional and productive, but simple and beautiful as well!! How do you amend your soil? Do you keep a worm bin or compost pile? Many thanks for the inspiration!
Wow. Nice.
Very interesting ideas.
Nice to meet you
Great
Great!! I loved this. Can I ask roughly what size the back yard is? We're moving soon to somewhere which is 5m x 5m and I want to grow as much as I can!
Nice! Please show more. There are not many urban gardeners out there?
Awesome dude!
