Your videos are the most helpful I have seen in a long time! Thank you! I grow ALL my greens. I have more than 12 fruit trees just outside my front door in what was my front yard. Now I don't have to mow, and instead get to harvest nearly every day. I have Moringa, Mango, Mulberry, Strawberry Tree, Soursop, Katook, Avocado, Turmeric, Ginger, Longevity Spinach, Strawberry, Aloe, Spearmint, Acerola Cherry, 3 kinds of Sweet Potato, Okinawan Spinach, and more in 19 large totes all in my front yard... Then there's the back yard: Florida Peach, Loquat, 2 Orange, 1 Key Lime, 1 Myers Lemon, several Suriname Cherry, 2 Banana, Blueberry, Fig, several Pineapples, Spanish Oregano, Katook, Longevity Spinach (tons), Parsnips, Tomato, Sweet Potatoes, Strawberries, Sweet Mini Bell Peppers, Papaya, etc. All because of God and his providence! Thanks again for your great video work. It's valuable to thousands of us small spacers!
Wow, I loved this! I'm doing dense intercropping container gardening in a small space around my landlady's swimming pool and your video was really helpful.
I just started growing veg last year here in Scotland and have limited space. Your channel has given me so much info on how to grow so much more than I ever thought I could. Thank you for all of your advice. I look forward to seeing more videos.
I'd love to see more greenstalk videos. Like what to plant in each pocket that won't interfere with the others. I appreciate all your videos. It's been a huge help watching someone in close to the same climate (central Florida 9b)
Right up my alley. I only have a small front yard with a big shade tree and no back yard. I have about a 2 foot by 3 ft garden and grow tons of lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, herbs, green beans and cucumbers between the tiny garden and pots on the patio.
Thank you for your ideas on shade foods. We have several large oak trees so most of my yard is in shade. Also loved your use of what you have, not always going out to buy something.
As you know, I've followed you for a long time. This is such a great vid of advice for all of us. Thanks for all you do to help the community of growers in central Florida and beyond.
I love your excellent tips! You have given me so many ideas! This is especially good in light of the upcoming food shortages! I could really use the green stalk planters! Thanks for sharing your ideas with all of us newbies!🤗
I live in southwest Florida and these videos have taught me so much ! Thank you so much for putting this information out there, I’ve finally confidently started my container garden this spring. I need that greenstalk planter like yesterday! 😅
I plant densely for space & to just get it done bc I have three kids and I work so it works very well for us. And if needed I thin, sometimes it isn’t needed, some beets and radishes, lettuce, greens do so well densely planted 😀
Finding you has been a game changer! I am from the North gardening is much different. I am sure I missed the give away! But wanted you to know I appreciate all you do especially having little ones. I am raising 3 grandchildren (boys) from 9-14! They eat a lot being on a fixed income & the idea of a food shortage we are trying to grow what we can! That is in between baseball & football camp will start soon. I am rabbling love your videos! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
I have a garden planted in grow bags and a vertical planter (different brand and I would love a green stalk one!) on my patio. I have had some success as a newbie gardener and have learned so much from your videos. You are my go-to resource!
Very well done. The garden especially but the video was well put together and the description is great! Loved that you broke down where everything is at in the video.
Thanks for the tips!......Growing a little here on my property in S.Florida......Started the back to Eden garden method a couple years ago & it seems to be working for me.
Excellent info! I have small space mostly for container gardening. Greenstalk planting tutorials are really needed to know how to make the most benefit out of it.
This came up in my feed just in time. I had to leave all my former life behind last year and start over. Going from gardening in a traditional way to container gardening has been a learning experience. I'm excited that Spring has come and we can get this going. I glanced at the content on your channel, and subscribed. I'll be binge watching...lol. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Your giftaway is so awesome! I'm so looking forward to be growing enough for me and my family, but for my neighbors and friends as well. Let's get busy!
Awesome and informative, as always! So excited about this giveaway, and I can't wait for the seeds I've planted these last few weeks to start taking off!
Love you videos! I’m very new to gardening and only started a couple of months ago. Excited for me new adventure and thanks to your videos things seem to be going well. I want to plant more & more!! It’s so fun seeing each new seed sprout and each plant continuing to grow. My kids are also enjoying helping me & watching. The green stalk is something I saw on one of your prior videos and have been eying. Such a great give away !! Thanks for all the great information
Thank you for helping me get ideas on how and where to start my garden! We have a tiny apartment and any extra space, who am I kidding... we have NO extra space. 😄 thanks for the tips!! That giveaway though 😳 Amazing!!!
I just found your channel, subbed and entered for the GreenStalk Planter. I have lots of space but planning out raised garden beds closer to the house combined with container gardening as well. Nice to have found you!
This year I've planted tomatos and beans of all kinds in my front yard. In full sun and some under the oaks.. I see seedlings coming up!!! 👩🌾 Love all your tips!!!
I have so much open space in my front yard but I first want to succeed my first year of growing before expanding lol thank you for the video as always. PSL Florida 🌝
I've had very good luck growing Mesclun lettuce mix in the shade. It grows well in most types of soil and requires very little care. The seeds are cheap and easy to germinate. I usually plant 2k at a time in a 6 sq ft patch. This way I am able to regularly harvest the ten largest plants for about four months.
Thank you for this great video I live in an apartment with no balcony and very little room outside to grow. I think it's time to start building some creative trellises.
Well Done! This year, I have permission ( I garden at my mothers, she is very traditional) to make the garden pretty. Yeah, interplanting queen, thats me! Each pepper and tomato (staked) will be interplanted with basil, marigolds, and white alyssum. I cook with the marigolds and basil, the alyssum draws beneficial insects. oh, and lettuce plants stuck here and there that gets harvested out as the flowers grow.
I’m so happy to have come across your channel! This video contains such awesome info and ideas and I’m encouraged to try these! I’d love to have a Greenstalk planter. My daughter lives in a city and has a small backyard but loves to plant her own food so I’ve shared your video with her. I’m sure she’ll benefit from these ideas too! Thank you for sharing this info! Doreen
I have been trying to grow more in a small yard for a couple of years now, but am always looking for more ideas. I did see your watermelons. I grew them over an arch across a walkway last year, but had issues with supporting the melons as they got larger. I would love to learn better ways to support them. Thank you!
Thank you for telling me it’s ok to use the front yard! I was thinking last summer in the seed club you sent us okra seeds. It was such a pretty plant I was thinking of planting some out by my mailbox!
Great video and concise! If I grew in my front yard everything would be picked before I could harvest. Even a pot of flowers disappear. My backyard is fenced in so thank God I’ll go the container way. Thanks!
Great giveaway! I loved being in your seed club last year. My garden is going strong this year. Your knowledge and advise for gardening in Florida is great. Thanks for sharing
The HOA in my neighborhood prohibits growing any food in the front yard, and that includes having any kind of fruit tree. Wish the legislature would change that like they did with the Florida Friendly Landscaping act which was passed about 12 years ago. That included ALL homes in Florida, including those in HOAs, so homeowners cannot be required to grow a water-thirsty lawn but can put in any kind of plants - they don't have to be Florida natives - that are more landscape/environmentally friendly, so, for instance, ground covers. They typically don't require as much fertilizer so there isn't the drainage into the water table. Also, if your HOA insists you only have sod, you can file a complaint with the state because the HOA will have broken the law. If you want any help in understanding this act, just call your local state representative's office and they'll help you! [I speak from experience!]
I had a frightful time with my HOA. Among other actions, they had their attorney sent me a registered mail threatening me with legal actions. I replied in email promptly and thanked them sincerely for their hard work and persistence, explaining I had prior approval with modifications due to the circumstances. In the end, they agreed to leave me in peace with adjustments. I’ve been growing happily ever since. 20 fruit trees and berries in 100’ by 75’ space. In this pandemic, I have my last laugh. I bet none of the HOA members had what my family enjoys just out in the front yard.
What great information I want to pack my beds this year. I started my own seeds and it’s been a struggle learning. This greenstalk would be amazing to have I love all the space it has but the small amount of space it takes up.
You can do it! I need to get a seed starting video put together. A few common mistakes are burying the seed too deep (plant aproximatley the depth of the seed itself so things like lettuce are surface sown while beans are buried an inch or so), over water to the point where the soil is soggy (there should never be standing water in the pot or tray), or not giving the seedlings enough light (if they are leaning the are looking for light). Hope this helps!
@@pbkup I do not have experience with grow lights because I do mine outside but from my understanding they need different color light at different stages. They can also need fertilizer after the initial burst of growth.
@@pbkup If you have an Aldi's near you they have a grow light that has the different colors and instructions of when to use each color, hours of use etc. Good luck.
Great video. I live in Zone 5b NH. My last frost date is around May 24. Our summers have been hot and humid. It is sometimes challenging. My tomatoes suffered last year.

Fantastic video! I’m glad I found you. I struggle with gardening because of our HOA requires ANYTHING that isn’t grass or a mature tree to be grown in a container! 🤦🏼♀️ Front yard, back yard, it doesn’t matter! Super annoying and expensive. I just want to feed my babies and grass is a waste of space when food is tight. I would love to win that Greenstalk and the seed club sounds awesome. 💜
I always welcome new variety of seeds! I plant too many greens and I get a complaint from the boyfriend that garden looks like a jungle. Working on adding flowers for the jungle ;)
The watermelon trip is going to come in handy now that my watermelon seed finally germinated. I live in a gated community that has restrictions having a garden.
Aw dang, missed the giveaway cause I *just* saw the video! BOO! I'd gladly get another one I like the one I got last year. Thanks for the tips! I'm an apartment dweller, and I'm SO want to get more out of my pots...
What a great video and ideas 💡 now seeing this greenstalk thing im gonna try and make something like this somehow 🙂 your tips are great as well thank you so much
Thank you for the information on growing more in a small place. Your garden looks healthy & happy. We moved into our home in the fall and started our new spring garden over clay sandy virgin soil. We’re using raised beds as we have climatic challenges of lots of rain, heat & humidity. Though some colder freezing temps in the winter. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Wish I'd found ur channel sooner! On the Space Coast of FL trying to figure my veggies out...I love my Greenstalk but DERN, missed UR GIVEAWAY W improved roller...looks like a double lazy susan...going to incorporate LEGUMES/ Beans for nitrogen for sure💚🌾🥒🌾💚🌻
Just incase you want to try, I take the root ends off of celery and onions and root them in clean water with a little cinnamon to keep knots put and when rooted I plant them in clean of plastic tape cardboards boxes from Amazon, Walmart and wherever by putting a plastic bag around the outside to keep from falling apart and when I need to plant in ground I make a hole slide the box out of the bag and into the hole then the cardboard breaks down in time to compost …. If you don’t have ground to plant them in they grow well in the boxes …recycling shredded paper makes a good ground cover for these bags also. Plastic pop bottles with the cap off and pin holes around the bottom make great waterers especially if you need to be away from your garden a few days. Just place them around the top of the planter and the water will soak in if you don’t want to have them buried in the soil at all.
Thanks so much for all the great information! I started learning how to grow my own veggies and a small 😊 you help so much since I am from Florida too!
Even if you have an HOA that will not "allow" you to use your front yard to grow veggies/herbs you can intermix them with your landscaping. Do a search on youtube for edible landscaping for ideas. Enjoyed the video.

Use stockings or material that stretches and tie it to the arch
Pole beans are great! We got those 20" asian green beans and they did great going up our trellis last year
when I grow watermelons on trellis I choose icebox varieties so they are easier to support. I used garden twine.

I'm new to this channel and am loving all your videos.
Glad you like them!
What a great video and ideas 💡 now seeing this greenstalk thing im gonna try and make something like this somehow 🙂 your tips are great as well thank you so much
Have fun!
Build your soil fertility by sheet mulching: ruclips.net/video/cql-AMD4LaM/видео.html. Start composting, aim for hot composting if your able.
Love the idea of planting up

Good luck growing! Glad you enjoy the channel!
Love the suggestions! I do thr container gardening on my back porch. I could really use a Greenstalk container to expand my variety of plants.
Container gardening rocks!
Just place them around the top of the planter and the water will soak in if you don’t want to have them buried in the soil at all.
so many diffrent ways to grow!
Thanks so much for all the great information! I started learning how to grow my own veggies and a small 😊 you help so much since I am from Florida too!
I'm so glad!
My dogs love to eat my new plants. so I have to fence everything off. I love growing vertically. So the stacked planting is my friend.
my cousins dog is like that too! glad you have something that works.
Going to use these tips! Thanks!

You are so welcome!
I got a few small towers of amazon, would rather have green stalks but its outta my budget, Thanks for the great tips/
growing food is the important part!
Your video is great. I am very encouraged and inspired. How can i get this green stock planter. I am in Kenya.
Even if you have an HOA that will not "allow" you to use your front yard to grow veggies/herbs you can intermix them with your landscaping. Do a search on youtube for edible landscaping for ideas. Enjoyed the video.
I always recommend ginger and turmeric because they look tropical and ornamental!
