Great video. Nice to see a lot of the knives actually had use. Lots of knife reviews online the thing hslasnt even been used enough to need sharpening.
Your grandfather's knife.. bone handle Bowie hunter is a Utica sportsman.. I've had dozens of them.. made in Utica, NY.. still in operation.. my friend had his grandpa's sportsman and said it would cut through the ribs of a deer without any issues at all.. awesome knife😊
440 steel has three categories, J, which is usually used on scalpels. Cheap throwaway steel, easy to sharpen, doesn't hold the edge. 440 A which most Rough ryders use a step up from j but still pretty mediocre comparable to 7c17MOV And 440HC which is very decent buck has a super treatment for it and it can hold a good edge for awhile comparable to 9Cr13mov Chinese steel based on heat treat and of course there more prone to bending than chipping which makes them great bush blades. Cheers 🍻 and cool knives
@María Concepción Well yes as with anything but the three main ones used widely in manufacturing usually cheaper knives. As always one can do there own research and figure it out! Cheers
That's an awesome collection of schrade knives. The only one I've carried alot is a schrade lil finger kudos to the use of em to! Have the same Mossy oak bowie set and the sheathe is torn up on the small one to The big sheathe works good for Buck or the Harbour freight Gordon buck clone. Cheers and awesome knives
