Look at hadith what this verse of purification refers to. If hadith says it is wife then it is wife. If hadith sayd it is Ali, fatima , Hassan and Hussain then they are the Ahlulbayt. In hadith it does not say wife.
I'll respond to all your comments here:
1. As explained in the video, the Quran includes the wives in Ahl ul-Bayt, the hadith includes Ali, Fatima, Hasan and Hussein (may Allah be pleased with them all). Otherwise, the use of the plural feminine doesn't make sense in the verse.
2. The hadith does not restrict the Ahl al-Bayt to those 4. A version of Hadith ul-Kisa has a wife asking about whether she is in Ahl ul-Bayt, and Rasulallah (salallahu aleyhi wa salaam), and he responds that she is upon goodness, meaning she is in Ahl al-Bayt.
3. Shi'a don't have a single narration of the Quran among them, so they rely on the Quran as transmitted by Sunnis, and read a manuscript compiled by Uthman. From this alone we know that Shia are a made up sect after Sunni Islam, since it relies on Sunnis for its Holy Book.
4. According to your books, Umar killed Fatima and Ali hid in his house, then worked for Umar. Wa audhubillah min thalik. So it seems Ali was more of a follower of Umar than any one of us according to you.

5. Cursing the wives is impermissible because of Quran 49:11. "O you who believe! Let not a group scoff at another group, it may be that the latter are better than the former. Nor let (some) women scoff at other women, it may be that the latter are better than the former. Nor defame one another, nor insult one another by nicknames. How bad is it to insult one’s brother after having Faith [i.e. to call your Muslim brother (a faithful believer) as: "O sinner", or "O wicked"]. And whosoever does not repent, then such are indeed Zâlimûn (wrong-doers, etc.)." To make what is haraam halal is kufr, and Shia make cursing the wives halal, may Allah punish them for this grave sin.
