To a certain extent. As Shamsi said they try to digress and if you allow them to do that then they succeeded in using debate tactics on you and they might Fool the masses or even some of them. Thus you cannot allow the opponent to digress except when you know that you can make the subtle digression into a big humiliation for the opponent. If you cannot you should remind them of the question asked so the people will be reminded that the opponent did not answer the question posed and after a few times this will be regarded as running which will make the other person look like the knowledgeable man and the opponent as a jahil/ignoramus

There’s around 70 verses in the Quran praising Sahaba directly and indirectly. I can’t list all 70 here, they’re on my channel in a comment section
There’s only 2 verses in the Quran about Ahlul Bayt - one is talking about the wives ( 33:30-33 ) and the other one is where Allah tells us to show respect to the family of the prophet ( 42:23 )

Whats funny about this is that technically the first verse you mentioned would be rejected by the shia as they don’t include the wives to be a part of ahlul baht so that’s one less on their part.
