Not really, just do what suits you. Toes if you have it at the end of your bed. I used additional fingers just to demonstrate that you can add other people to the safe. I primarily use my index finger to open it.
You like this safe? I just want a cheapo one for my nightstand for my carry piece to keep the kids away when I'm snuzzing with quick access just in case. I really like the honrady clock safe but man its a lot of 💰
I was not aware of this safe having this feature; the product listing says that it does, and the Amazon Q&A is mixed; 3 answers say it does not. …but one says it does “How do I silence the fingerprint & keypad? To mute on or off: Press the button ‘4’ for 2 seconds until it beeps”. I have not tried this yet.
That sucks! I checked the Q&A on the Amazon listing and unfortunately they are not available. Their exact response was: “Unfortunately, replacement keys cannot be ordered as each key is unique to each gun safe. We advise to try contact your local locksmith to create a new key for duplicates.”
Be sure your finger is pointing straight forward when programming or opening box. Finally discover that after I could not program my right fingerprint but could my left. My left finger laid naturally straight on the fingerprint reader but I had to turn my right finger to the left slightly to get it to work. Anyway, I hope it helps ease the frustration!
I imagine removing the battery for a few minutes would reset everything but I haven't tried it. To delete all fingerprints; prese the reset button inside the safe for 3 seconds until you hear (1) one beep. If you hear 3 beeps reset failed and try again.
@@MudLakeRanch I try to reset the fingerprints but it only turns on the light 3 times and it beeps and it does nothing else, it does not want to register new fingerprints
Thank you! I have a different safe, German made, but the directions were non-specific. This video helped me get it set up.
Awesome
Thank you so much for making this video as I could not get the link that was sent with the package to work and used your walk through to set mine up
Awesome!
Is it recommended to set a fingerprint for all your fingers and toes?

This is the one I use. It does the job and I’ve been using it since Dec 2021
do you have a video on how to fix the safe if its doesn't pop open?
I've never experienced that issue. I would just use the backup key
I have this problem, did you find a solution?
@@lauramorrissey8514mine started acting up …I’m thinking of return it if I still can
I’m having this problem too. My fingerprint works, light turns green and beeps and sounds like it tries to unlock but it won’t open. Very frustrating
Hey folks! I recently became an Amazon Associate- if you buy via the links in my video description I earn a small commission. Thanks for your support!
I forgot my pin code. How can I reset it? Thanks!
By any chance do you know how to turn the keypad beep off. Thanks in advance

Does anyone know how to silance the keys and finger print reader?
Nevrmind, found it. Hold down the 4 key until it lights up.
I lost my key for the safe. Do you know where I can get a replacement

I got lucky and found it today. Thanks for your reply, and your video was very helpful. Thank you again
It should have been shipped with two. You lost both?!
I did and instructions during my move. It was in the box never used
What if you never used it and don’t have a key
You’d need a locksmith but that would probably cost more than the safe. The key ships in the package outside of the safe.

Mine opens in almost any finger position.
I did program them about straight on though.
There are wires that come out with the battery - they have the 9v connector on them
How to reset all? please

Yea. That safe’s great until it forgets your fingerprint. I have this safe, it sucks
I still use mine daily. I don’t think it is even sold anymore
My safe no longer recognizes my finger prints or my code either. I have tried to do the reset but won’t except new finger print or code
My Key is the only thing that works anymore
