I stay guilty of number: one no purpose. I prefer to write for the writing and nothing else. Well it does make me calm or helps to get an overview on life.

here in the UK, we have Scottish midges, that can be worse than mosquitos maybe. Good point about always carrying a notebook. thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the feedback! Always encouraging to keep continuing with comments like these. I'll have to Google the Scottish midges 😃

I've made some of those mistakes as well. My problem is I tend to have too many notebooks around! 🙂

Those mosquitoes definitely enjoy your blood near the end... I thought you said you had repellant :) Thanks for really good inspiration and clarity

It’s not the mosquitos that piss me off, it’s the fucking ticks. We went out on a maybe a mile long walk in the woods the other day and I am still picking up the motherf**ers from my clothes.

Same pen. Same problem 😂. The double sided click pen just a tad bit taller still allowed me to keep small pen while being more comfortable. Great tips. New sub

Thank you for this. Needed to hear the 'stop comparing yourself to others' section.

Just use notes on your phone

Good and fair point. For some it works perfectly with e.g. notion and other apps, and others prefer the traditional ways with the feeling of pen and paper. In my opinion I'm feeling way more accountable when it's actually written down compared to digital notes.
But thanks for the input. I might do an entire video on the topic 👍

I find it useful and helpful to do both. For me, they have different purposes. I believe writing on paper or typing on a phone work a bit differently with our brains, as well. Also, if I want to remember people's names or remember places to stop for a restroom, beverage, and to stretch my legs, I will put these kinds of things in my phone, probably in Google Keep, because then I can reference them any time I am out and about. But to just jot down thoughts and observations and notes from books, I prefer pen and paper. If I don't want to be obtrusive about pulling my phone out, I might put something in my pocket notebook which I would prefer to have in my phone for anytime access; but I will transfer it to my phone later (but soon, so I don't forget).

@@margmary53 I think that notes from books should be written down to a digital app, because in that way you have a feature to fastly search the information when you need it

For me, the idea of journaling is putting pen to paper. I bought a Kindle Scribe intending to keep a digital journal and ended up sending it back. The idea of having my journal with all my books on one device was very enticing. However, it just didn't feel right for me. I now have a Lochby Field Journal with my Kindle Paperwhite Signature tucked in one of the pockets and just love it! It has a totally analog feel to it (except the Kindle with my 300 or so books!). Cheers!
