How did you removed the cover? Did you used heat gun to soften the gasket maker?

i have the same issue with a EK3 1998 CVT transmission,,
Do you think its the same problem or should i look in another place first?

Hi br Adam, yes you need to do immobilizer reset first, the same procedure as ( All keys lost), please let me know if you have any question

@@MsSouham after you make sure you have the correct key, 2- try to jump pin 4 to pin 13 ( OBD2 port ) with ignition ON for 30 minutes
