Such an ethereal technique. It's baked into Tekken culture but also only accessible to those who practice obsessively like a frickin Sayan. Amazing video. I love the style with just text and the awesome soundtrack. No bs or clickbait just pure tekken education.
I don't understand why you would turn off the command history when actually doing the moves. And showing the command history with the taunt, while everyone know how to imput the taunt.
Great guide fam I wish it’d been out when I first started messing with taunt would’ve been better than any of the other guides out there. Keep up the good work fam
Thanks to master knee ( murop)...art of knee taunt was the main arsenal for bryan players.....i remember how powerful this move in tekken 5...very good move for mix ups and good move for tech traps...i remember how powerful the taunt able to break guard and follow up to jet upper...the moves was nerf in tekken 6 ...but i dont know in tekken 7 ( but seems it was buff )
Thanks for your comment and feedback! This can apply when you have your opponent in a wall situation. Out in the open it's not reliable at all. You can try setting the dummy to tech roll, use ws1 and try to catch him with taunt. You will see it tracks poorly most of the times, and when it does track, its because you moved in very close, realigned a lot, and the whole thing comes out very slow because by the time you input taunt the dummy is probably deep into the tech roll animation, and you risk being interrupted. Also its better to always go for double taunt in order to cover it all, create a rhythm that suites you to build muscle memory on it. Have a nice day!
One of the best vids I've seen about Bryan's taunt. A fine work, I'll be studying this for probably thousands of hours. Now if there was a vid about all of his animation cancels, that would be great.
Realy good short explanation + tips. Hope to see more from other characters like this video. Keep going 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Started to learn him and this helped a lot.
try to buffer the input as the video said, hold the 3+4 and press 1 twice it will register as double taunt fun fact: when 3+4 is buffered you can press 1 twice in quick succession and it will register as 2 hits taunt, like actually 2 hit combo with no dmg
pro tip: if you can't do Taunt Jet Upper on the wall, try Taunt B+4 into Jet upper, it's easier but you need a bit of space or else your B+4 into Jet Upper will not connect
Needs more views!!! Great info! Thanks!! Would you be able to do a vid of all his stance/ move cancels? I saw you cancel into down back 1+2 and I always wondered how to do that.
This might be a little late 😅 but if for some reason you don't know how to do it yet. You can cancel the shadow step (QCF) or B3->F by tapping up as soon as the animation starts, however if you just tap up Bryan will do a sidestep, so you proceed to cancel the sidestep aswel with any other move such as F1 to get a jab or DB1+2 at the wall for better oki. If u get a WR1 when attempting this it means that u tapped up too early, if you tap up too late you will simply drop the combo. Inputs might seem onorthodox at first but try 'em out in practice or treasure to build muscle memory for it. Basic examples of when to use this are: To extend your B3 combo (better wall carry) (After a screw -> B3,F,U,F1,B3,F2,1) Or at the wall instead of B3,F3,4 u can do B3,F,U,DB1+2 for better oki/ taunt setup.
I Can‘t hit taunt B4 I tried it so often does someone have any tips ? I can do the „easy“ taunt follow ups such as taunt f 2,1,3 but Taunt b4 seems kinda impossible for me :p
You have to press b and 4 on the exact same frame like an electric, its really b+4, and you have to hit it at the exact time that taunt connects. Other than that it is just about practicing the timing, remember, b+4 not b4, that is the most important part, and hit it EXACTLY when taunt connects
I've been messing around with the taunt shenanigans for a couple days now, any move that doesn't require a directional input and is under15 frames or so I can get with relative ease, but f2,1,4 and b4 I'm struggling with, and don't even get me started on fb2. I'm assuming directional inputs can take up a frame or 2, at least with Jet Upper anyway? I can hit f2,1,4 once out of every 3-5 tries, so that's a good starting point for me, but no matter how hard I try to focus I cannot get b4 after the taunt. Also, what's helped me a lot was watching Bryan's arm/hand wave, as soon as I see him wave his hand outward and then quickly inward I do the inputs. A couple years back I tried to watch his knee/legs as an animation indicator on when to do the inputs and...that didn't help me at all lol. EDIT: After watching the video further you explained the Jet Upper frames.
And here's my sorry ass tapping myself at the back after years of learning how to do a really fast wavedash block cancel shit. Ain't no way in hell I'll be doing this haha
Is there any input delay for Tekken 7 on Razer Panthera without Razer software? I've been playing Tekken for some time, I can do like 4/10 b+4 after taunt, but not a single jet upper, ever. I feel like I'm too slow with my fb inputs. Also, can do like 7/10 100$ combo on Jin.
Mostly u have to react they won’t tech roll all the time if they stop and wake up I do orbital and if they just stay on the ground I do soccer kick or d+4
