    Damn, this is pretty eye-opening for me, I don't feel like I've heard enough people talk about immediate and delayed timing. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong spots but regardless, you've helped me understand the concept, I would love to see how to get an advanced player's timing down in the future for sure

    • @tytk

      Definitely plan on making that in the future!

    Been loving the content lately. A lot of newer-intermediate players need to learn and understand these concepts so they can elevate their play.
    Personally I’m just a nerd who watches Tekken videos all day so this is fun for me too. I hope you’ll keep doing content like this and even make advanced videos for us seasoned veterans as well!

    I would also love to see a video on higher level timing. If possible, whether it's intermediate or high level - are there ways to find 'open' timing in the neutral? I would be excited to see any video on timing, really. It is an elusive and foreign concept for some of us. Thank you so much for this kind of content.

    • @tytk
      @tytk  7 месяцев назад +4

      Open timing is tough. It’s sooo just like “feel” that it’s hard to explain in a video, but i want to try and find out how to word it for the furure

    That is something I do when I play. I like to get a good grasp on how they play at times. Then you can somewhat guess on what they will do. Sometimes I just flow with it too. Like I am aggressive and just flowing and reacting with what they will do while maintaining aggression. But that only comes when I am comfortable with the character itself and have experience. Sometimes people can call out stuff before they do it if you have the experience to know what they usually want to do. Or player experience as you may pick up tendencies (sounds bad, but it is true if you play with someone enough). But that is not all the time and people can switch it up too.

    Really enjoying these guides! You explain them really well I think, connecting the simple actions with the high level idea of why or when to do them.

    I always tried to find counter hits in the open just by feel, but its been such an improvement to think about timing this way.
    I would love for you to make a video about how to use timing effectively in your own offense.

    I like this because it’s something I recently realized while playing a good friend of mine that’s good (as well as at a tourney). My response timing was predictable.

    Amazing video. I implemented this concept around two years ago ans changed my gameplay night and day. Changing your rhythm of spacing and timing to keep a smart opponent guessing is ypur first step to win against a decent player.

    I only have a good grasp on movement timing(2D movement)...usually I see how many times they backdash and stop.
    People usually backdash twice or 3 times before pressing or dashing and 3+4 usually get them

    Really helpful vid.
    I wasn't sure of the concept of timing since I would only hear it here and there from commentators and thought it was specific to when does my opp. attack/hit a button.
    It wasn't until me and Bloodhawk had some sets on the side and I was wondering how I was eating magic 4s consistently in the replays and thought it might be related to him knowing when I was gonna press.
    How do you go about downloading any other facets of an opponent/knowledge checks?
    Esp in a short ft2 tournament setting?
    Also what do you think of in general at the beginning of a match--like match-up specfics?...make sure I punish this, look out for that set up etc.?
    Thanks.

    Great vid ty, as a new player this is solid info. I just find it a bit overwhelming to do in the heat of a match. You think it would be worth watching replays to build this as a habit?

    • @tytk
      @tytk  7 месяцев назад

      Just have to think consciously when you play. Try to autopilot less. I think replays can help, but most of this stuff needs to be implemented in real games with real live feedback!

    • @tytk
      @tytk  8 месяцев назад +1

      i don’t really think ranked is a good way to look at it. i’ve played TGO players who weren’t really high level players, it’s all pretty random and not a great test of skill.
