Why aren’t many of Coxsone Dodd’s original Studio One albums available on streaming services? The late Jackie Mittoo recorded with Dodd and the only music of his on streaming services is mostly badly generated best of playlists that don’t do him any justice. Does anyone know why? Is there a Mittoo foundation or perhaps Coxsone foundation hold on this music for legal reasons? It’s not fun searching for a good Mittoo album on Spotify, they are all mashed up poor copies of his music. Then we are forced to buy him on vinyl from overseas at huge prices.
