I nearly had same heartbreaking experience like you😢I can totally relate to your thoughts on INFJ and the communication difficulties between us. My INFJ friend door-slammed me a month ago and never replied my apologising messages. I was in tears everyday. I hope you are feeling better now and the relationship has been repaired.❤

@@rivermoon9953 hi I'm sorry about that 😭 The door slam i am talking about happened a year ago and no word from INFJ who has blocked me on all social media. So yeah the relationship will not be repaired 😪

Wow! You're brilliant. Yes, I've had a similar experience with INFJ. How are we supposed to improve without proper communication to move forward with?

@jamesshepard8297 thanks, I'm sorry you also had difficulties with INFJs

    Hi Ingrid,
I didn't expect to be mentioned in your video :)
I'm sorry I didn't know it was that bad for you , like having a panic attack 😢 .
It's good that you told me. I won't see it as mean it was you being honest and to preserve this friendship which something I want to really protect.
I don't second guess your words I know you are honest and I'm with you too.
Another part of the comment will be in an email as there's much to be said.
    Thanks for sharing
    Take care friend

Well I resonated with this, it still sounds so sad what ended up happening. INFJ and INFP relationships really can be so intense and yet the misunderstandings can be too - I feel like there has to be a real compromise and realisation of this fact. For me, I guess it's like you said - I don't necessarily ask them loads of questions to open up but talk about myself and hope they open up. And actually, the older I've gotten the more INFJs do open up to me via this technique. And also them having to realise that INFPs need to explore ideas and can't come to those 'Ni' conclusions of those things, that they might run through ideas that seem off-the-correct path, but it's all part of the process? And yeah, INFPs have to also recognise that INFJs have a different process that they need to run through. Anyway I guess the sad thing is that in my life, the INFJs seem to come and go, idealising me and then ending up disappointed lol. INFPs have this same idealisation issue, but I think on the whole, well, they have Ne - I dunno. Their expectations are high but over different things. Hm also INFJs who door-slammed me often did contact me, sometimes 5-10 years after the door-slam, to open it back up lol, but usually I was too apprehensive...and merely poked my head through the door but never let it open properly again lol.

I'm sorry this personal relationship ended the way it did for you. I work with an INFJ (the only one of the type I've ever ID'd in real life, though I suspect I may know one other). While in some ways it's a special connection, there's also misunderstanding and tension. Many of the themes you've talked about are in that dynamic, too. I think one of the problems is because of our similarities, they assume we have conscious Ni, and we assume they have conscious Fi. INFPs -- we don't perceive that we're supposed to be doing something one way and not another. INFJs -- they don't actively assess their own, therefore our, feelings over matters.

As an INFJ I think we can be made to feel like no one cares about are emotions from an early age. Possible they have that problem and we do need to work on it. I’d go into my own personal experience as an adult as well for you however I’m not comfortable posting it where others can see it. 😅 You are right that no one is perfect that’s why communication is very important. INFJ/INFP relationship can be very intense so I can understand it is having a lasting effect on you. Also door slamming I’ve only done 3 times and one I managed to fix years after. I try not to do it as I know it’s not the best approach. I do hope you start to feel better soon.

@nick005 yes exactly both parties need to communicate clearly. I'm sorry about the door slamming. Thank you 🫂

@@radishraven9 Yes and it seems that loads of people can’t do that anymore. I appreciate that. 🫂 Thanks as well.

I see you got a reply below. I hope this worked out for you two. At least to make peace in your hearts. We INFJ's are weird. We know/don't know ourselves. We 'doorslam'. We also can get really intense with certain INFPs. Non-sexual relationship aside, you two loved each other, that's apparent. Ren is a good person to break down the 'nut's & bolts' of how we work. Patron Saint of the INFJs I've told him. And yeah, you probably could've actually lived together (old American sit-com "Will and Grace") scary as that felt, and yeah, he probably did Idealize you ('cause we do). Messy as you may think you are, he saw all that and said 'meh'. Because it wasn't that important - you saw HIM, which other people did not. To an INFJ that's the Holy Grail. So I hope the both of you can give each other grace. You're a good person Doc.

Hey, like your vids, they're relaxing plus you're hella cute :) I probably have some type of autism and I think I'm an INTJ... I was wondering: doesn't the P in INFP kinda conflict with autism? I mean P's, to my knowledge, don't like routine, are flexible, make plans on the go, adaptable... I'm absolutely no expert, just wondering...

    • @radishraven9
      @radishraven9  6 месяцев назад +1

@lazlohere thanks 😊 yes i don't really know, but it's a bit like that many people have both adhd and autism, which shouldn't make sense? You can be a P and like routine/planning or be autistic and like to be flexible.
IXXP types are actually primarily judging dominant as their dominant function is an introverted judging funtion (Fi or Ti). But yeah in general INFPs like to be flexible, and I'm a bit more rigid than most INFPs.
