Excited for this one. I missed One Degree, but after listening to John the first time he was on the Insider podcast, he was truly inspiring to listen to. Really love his VI Masterclass.
I can’t wait to read nth degree! Anyone who missed out on one degree or has not picked it up, John actually has it for sale in a discounted bundle package with the nth degree on his website. I think it was 10% off and he signs it if requested. Enjoy 😉
There are authors who's work I have them All (Bannon, Regal, Aronson) and Guastaferro is on that list. "1 Degree" is actually one of my favorite books, I'm pretty sure this new release is going to be full of great material. BTW Don is a great place to buy from!
I'm finding cloth-cover books are great at trapping golden retriever hair! I didn't realize there was another print run of 1 Degree - great news because I have been searching off and on for it. However, I'll probably get both. As always, thanks for the review!
I thought the book has been available? Maybe at Magifest? This is my kind of magic book. I just need to make sure I don’t have it. My books are a mess because I had all new shelves built. Thanks for the great review. I love the first book. There is no way I could make the card that reads Ace one way and Jack the other. Is there anywhere I could find that card.
The price point of this, as a slender 150-page volume, is outrageous. Artful Deceptions was £25. This is £43, the same price/more than much more significant magic tomes (putting the more subjective comparison of content aside). Your comments on this sound like an apology from someone who works for VI and for me, undermine the credibility of everything else in the review. Maybe you should recuse yourself from company releases as I really think it undermines the overall objectivity of the channel, which I generally really enjoy and respect (I accept there's a disclaimer, but that could be missed/skipped by regular uninformed viewers)
My friend, you seem upset, and that certainly wasn't my goal in sharing a piece of my passion with the world. I respect your ability to decide things for yourself, and if you think the book is too expensive, let your dollars do the talking by not spending them. Regarding the examples you provided: Artful Deceptions has 9 tricks, making the price £2.77/trick. The Nth Degree has 26 tricks, making it £1.65/trick. Seems like The Nth Degree is a pretty good deal from that vantage point alone, although both of them beat the pants off an individual download/trick. 🤷♂️ This is a place to be passionate about books, so while I consider all feedback, I will continue to discuss VI books, and that's not going to change. If me discussing VI books isn't aligning with your interests, I completely respect that. Your feedback is valuable, and I appreciate you sharing it. If you decide not to watch further, I understand completely, and I'm grateful for the time you've spent engaging with our discussions.
@@EruditeMagic apologies if the tone of my post suggested I was angry. More just perplexed. I don't understand how it's possible to meaningfully review something you have a financial stake in. Outside the realms of an advertorial. As for the price, I'm pretty sure One Degree was available not long back for less than £30.

Jeff, thanks for the thorough and thoughtful review…not just of my books, but of so many others!
You're too kind, John! You deserve it. Thank you for inspiring all of us through sharing your magic, both in instruction and performance

Great review.
Always happy to add and new book to the shelf, but do you recommend reading One Degree first?
Yes, if you have both. He has some great lessons in there that he builds on. It's not necessary, but could be helpful. Enjoy!

😄 at the dog hair comment. I hope you will get both! And you're welcome for the review - it's my pleasure 👍
One Degree was phenomenal...
This follows in the same path. If you liked One Degree, you'll love Nth Degree
I’m curious if this will overtake Principia as there best selling book
You never know!
When does this book come out?
Today...

It was available as a pre-release at Magifest, but it sold out pretty quickly. I'm not sure about the aces and jacks card...🤔
@@EruditeMagic thank you. I’ll be buying it. I couldn’t find it on the Vanishing Inc site. I’ll look again on Monday.
A full size image of the aces/jacks is in the book. You can try to replicate it by drawing or scan it and print on a label.
Great tip!
@@JohnGmagicawesome! Thank you! I’m even more excited!
Does he teach his homage to homing in this book or something similar
Homage to Homing is on One Degree.
What he (the author) said - beat me to it. Thanks for stopping by, John!
Very nice review 👍👍👍👍
Thanks, Robert! 🙏
Cool
Indeed
