I watch a lot of bag and pouch tutorials and like them for gifting small items. I purchased this pattern before watching the video as I thought it was an adorable pouch. I am an experienced sewist, and have done gussets, but they always give me a bit of pause. After watching the video, Rose has made this much less worrisome, since she is so clear about how to fit the gusset to the front and back. I love the final product complete with no raw edges. My grandsons will each get one of these as an "add on" to their Christmas gifts. Just right for a $gift card, hand sanitizer, lip balm, a small candy, etc.... the list goes on.. Thanks so much for such a well explained tutorial.

So cute! I’m not understanding pulling pins out and leaving them loose all over the top of the machine. Just as easy to use a pin cushion. Thanks for sharing.👍

I have always wanted to try a backpack pattern, you have made this possible for me! I am going to get this pattern and possibly start making some of the other patterns that I have bought throughout the years! Your video has taken out the confusion for me, thank you very much
Since I have tons of 1" (No. 3) zipper tape, I proceeded to make the adorable backpack using what I have. It came out ok after much wrangling with the gussets. Will zip open and closed, but without enough clearance, you have to finagle each time. Will not make that mistake again.
