Hi. Could you share why? We’re looking into either minisplits or high-velocity to cool five or six rooms in our 1930s brick house. The splits would require snaking some of the lines around the house. Wondering whether a zoned high-velocity system would be better. What did you find to be the biggest drawbacks? Thanks.

Lennox is horrible. Plus assholes. As they dont teach how to fix them unless you become an authorized dealer.. the. EDT system to get is a trane or american standard. Better warranty system as well.
You won’t HVAC guys likes them in your locality. I looked at my duct work and there are leaks everywhere. My one zone system is 6-8 degrees hotter in the 2nd floor than 1st. Tried to restrict outlet flows on first floor to force more air to the 2nd floor. Didn’t work and still a big temperature difference.
Yeah. I do not understand that HVAC installers love of bulky ducts and air handlers. They could have just run to some mid-wall or ceiling units and gotten heat pump heating out of the deal for a very minor up charge.
Trust me it helps. ive got a house with poorly if any sealed ducts. my bathroom counters are actually warmer than the vent exhaust just below it. even just a thin board of plywood of drywall serves as enough insulation that of the 'conditioned space' that the hvac will need to work longer to reach the desired temperature.
@@ilovefunnyamv2nd Sounds like a good deal to me. Warm surfaces is more comfortable and economical than warm air. Try heated flooring or blankets, they are great.

Anyone have a link to this product??
My apartment uses hydro air (heating loop off a high BTU water heater). Very gentle heat compared to a typical gas furnace.
