I will have a review coming up very soon for a new tripod that i like quite a lot and is also a travel tripod so stay tuned before you make ur decision
Hi Dennis, I still like it but honestly I prefer now the Ulanzi Y tripod, the one with Arca swiss and not with the F38 mount I will be reviewing that tripod very soon, in terms of the z6 I believe it can yes, for me what I dont love is the legs as they sometimes dont lock properly as mentioned on the review and that doesnt inspire me a lot of confidence
Do you know approximately how tall it is with the center column down? Every website only mentions max height with column extended but like you I generally prefer not to use the center column. Thank you for the review as well, it is tough to find any good info on this tripod but it looks great for travel!
Can I ask if your center column separates for low angle shooting like on the website. I just received my aircross 2, and I can see the seam in the carbon fiber on the center column but for the life of me I can’t separate it. I don’t want to risk scratching it using tools
Hi Rob, you can remove the center column easy, but I assume you would need a different smaller center collumn to do that, to remove it you don't need any tools, on the bottom of it where you have the hook to hang something heavier, that part is actually screwed there, so you can easily unscrew and remove the all center column if needed.
@@PedroKin thanks for the fast reply, I can always invert the center column, but I think the literature is a little misleading. Fotopro advertisement shows a small section of the center column attached to the head, maybe they do offer a separate column for purchase, or they redesigned it prior to shipping. Thanks doing the review and for the fast Communication.
@@PedroKin Just wanted to give you an update that after emailing customer support, I was able to separate the center column. It was simply extremely tight from the factory with a little bit of grease that gummed up during shipping. If you look closely you should see a seam in the carbon approximately 2 inches from the head. I had to use a strap wrench for grip the first time, but now it separates by hand, and you can re-thread the bag hook into the smaller section for low angle.
hello, after more than 1 year, how about its locking mechanism of the leg? is it loosen now, or still steady? thanks
Still steady but i dont use it a all lot, but it has been aging well
@@PedroKin thank you

Looks steady and solid!
Thanks, it really is :)
are you still happy with the Fotopro X cross 2 carbon tripod do you think it can hold a nikon z6 with a 24-702.8 lens

My BenQ tripod has a separate colmun to do that, but I will talk with my contact and fotopro and ask what is up with that.

Great, yeah mine came out very easily :) thanks for the update :)
that type of lock, loses its "lock" over time, and it keeps sliding down, its fast to deploy, but in the long run, it sucks 🥲
Is not ideal there are better alternatives out there, will have another review coming out soon from a different brand
@@PedroKin looking forward to it!
