    Would like to see a comparison of the Fotopro X-Aircross 2, Sunwayfoto Simplified Series(TT2650CE), ULANZI F38 and the SIRUI Traveler X series(AT-125).
    Current Amazon prices with ball heads(Ulanzi with video head) $159.90, $149.00, $239.95, and $129.00
    At the moment Fotopro has an 8% off coupon, Sirui has 10% off(with ball head) 15% off(with video head).

    Thanks, great review! This is Aircross 3 Lite in the video however, not Aircross 3. Lite has less than half of weight capacity of the regular version, so some full frame setups could be too much to use on this tripod

    Just for information I found out, I think currently they re label the names of these tripods. Fotopro X-Aircross 3 and Fotopro X-Aircross 3 LITE. In which Lite version refers to the one in this video as Fotopro X-Aircross 3. While Normal version refers to Fotopro X-Aircross 2 in this video.

When I tested this out and lock the legs by turning it, it feels very fragile with a cracking sounds... Repeating the locking and unlocking of the legs, will this last for many years? Thanks for the answer

      Yeah that Benro is getting hyped a lot but it's more expensive than any of the travel tripods I featured, weighs almost twice as much as the Fotopro, and part of that weight is the "auto-leveling" motors which I would not want because it ldoesn't level the head where the center of gravity is, but evels by shortening the legs on one side, which makes it highly unstable if you have a big heavy camera on there, it could fall over. A basic non-self-leveling version with a manual ball-head would be cheaper, lighter and more balanced.

      Camera store is right down the street. First PD is a quite a bit heavier than any of these. That and how small it collapses down are my two biggest factors, plus height. Big strike one. It's not as tall. Strike two. It doesn't collapse as small. And it costs more than ten other tripods. Nuclear death strike. Even the camera store said yeah its way overhyped.

      You just have to get used to it. Just make sure you turn the rubber base all the way so its locked or unlocked, that's all. I'll take it over Peak Design any day. Love these tripod videos. So, since I use an iphone, I've got 3 that are super compact. The middle one is a generic "Bluetooth Selfie Stick with Tripod." 15" at its smallest and 59" fully extended. 2.2 pounds. It can wobble due to its designsince it has a really long shaft, but as long as you're indoors, who cares? This completely fits in my backpack. $27
    The next one is the UBeesize 67'' Phone Tripod Stand & Selfie Stick Tripod. So, 67" full extended, and 20" collapsed. It sticks out the backpack, but not really a big deal. I put it in my carry-on when I fly, but then put it in my backpack when I visit wineries. 1.89 pounds and $28. Similar to the first one in that it's basically all shaft so it can be wobbly.
    My original one is shorter at 54" (another generic "selfie stick tripod"). Not a big deal as I normally sit down for interviews. I bought the first one I mentioned specifically to be used if I'm standing along with any guests. This 3rd one is about 14" fully collapsed. This exact one is no longer available but there are others that look just like it. I don't know the actual weight, but I'd guess it's under 1.5 pounds. I paid $24 for it and similar ones are about the same. It also easily fits in my backpack.
    For many years my entire travel setup fit inside a backpack. Now I have a little bit more equipment. I use a carry-on bag for some of it. If I bring my larger lights, then the light stands need to be in my On-Stage bag (the same one you did a video on a while ago). I haven't done that set up if I have to fly, so I don't know how I'll do it. Probably in my checked luggage.

    • @MarkusPix
      @MarkusPix  Год назад

      I use selfie stick stands for my Osmo action to film behind the scenes stuff. They're great for tiny cameras, but they shouldn't be more than 1 lb or you're getting into the same weight as the travel light stands or even the Aoka travel tripod I featured in the previous tripod video

I like to add an arca swiss clamp to the trypod and an arca swiss plate to the bullhead making the bullhead removable. So switching between a fluid head, ball head or light post super easy. And also makes the storing length of the trypod shorter. Yes but that 151 cm is with the center column fully extended which is really unstable and wobbly, especially with a heavy camera and lens on top. The actual tripod part is only 37 inches (95cm) which is just waist height, like the tiny Aoka I showed in the tripod video. They're ok for small lightweight stuff, but not serious cameras. and they weigh MORE than the Fotopro! It's the same basic idea as the Fotopro, but really only half as high and weighs MORE than the Fotopro, which is is super sturdy at full height. There's a reason the Mefoto has been discontinued. But I might get one anyway just for fun 😄

    • @MTBs
      @MTBs Год назад

      @@MarkusPix Thanks for responding. The legs are actually taller than the Aoka, but I agree on that the Fotopro probably is much sturdier.
      The weight of the Mefoto is still 0.9 kg, so I don't have any complaints there and as mentioned the small size when closed is the only reason I got that tripod.
      The downsides with the Mefoto is that it's not as sturdy when fully extended as you mentioned. I use it with a Sony ZV-1 in pretty strong winds and have not had any issues yet. I can always get the shot. The real downside is that the legs don't stay in place if you don't twist them hard enough. I think that's why it's discontinued. It could damage the camera. But after 2 years I have learned how hard to twist the legs so it has come second nature for me and I feel that I can trust the thing now.
      I'll look into the Fotopro, it might be a step up from the Mefoto. 👍
