I'm 27 and 9 mouths ago my doctor told me that my A1C is 5.6, i had no idea what that means so i put no tought to it until my next results came in some 3 mounths ago it was 5.8. So i kinda freaked out, so i immediately started daily monitoring and i started a diet but 2 weeks in the diet i really started losing hope because my results were never under 5.5 so my doctor proposed taking some support supplementation and 1 week in i started getting results like 5.2 and 4.9, so here i am after 9 mouths since my first visit to the doctor im behaving myself taking my supplements and i haven't gotten anything higher than 4.8 on a daily basis. 😄

Gotta add that high carb high sugar diets, ESPECIALLY in combination with frequent coffee or alcohol, as is our wonderful custom in America, you become depleted in B1 (thiamine).
BeriBeri is ignorantly assumed by arrogant doctors to be extinct in developed countries... Cuz we're so sophisticated i guess. We have an epidemic of wet beriberi evident by lower extremity edema, low ejection fraction heart failure... But also dry beriberi presenting as neuropathy because diabetics are 76% lower in B1 and their kidneys excrete it 16x faster as well.
Don't forget about Shoshin beriberi which is GI issues including GERD symptoms and gastroparesis

I think the range that's supposed to be good was based on people who aren't eating the carnivore diet. My A1C is at a 5.7. I don’t eat ANY processed foods. I eat meat, dairy and fruit. I do 48 hr fasting once a month. I think the problem was I traded in one form of sugar with another in ADDITION to overconsumption of animal proteins (gluco neo genesis). I either need to be more active like HIIT and weights (to utilize the energy from glucose and utilize the protein for tissue growth) or reduce carbs/proteins and increase fat consumption. Is my logic on the right track or am I missing something? 😮
