Fabio came to play a small party in Dallas, TX back in Nov-Dec '19. It was a small crowd but Fabio just kept piling on the bangers well past closing time because we were all so hype. I know it's nothing like the UK scene out here in Texas but you could definitely tell he respected the energy!
Hometown Dallas, TX Biography 32 Degrees was the brainchild of Phil Hardwick, Howell Pugh, and Andrue Oliver as a way to bring the emerging sounds of Drum&Bass/Jungle to the Dallas massive. These early events were a unifying force within the scene, as they gave the local junglists an outlet to play this "new" sound. Most of the DJ's, producers, MC's you see today were at those early parties, brocking out or playing the tunes that shaped our current scene. The first events were held at a little club in Deep Ellum called Dread 'n' Irie. With a 300 person capacity it didn't take long to fill out the venue for the quasi-regular events. Slowly the sounds of Drum&Bass were filling the local raves and renegades in and around Dallas. It didn't take very long before 32 Degrees was a staple at most raves, as there was rarely a party where the crew wasn't rinsing out a side room. Unfortunatly, though, the raves scene was undergoing a gradual decline and the larger parties became few and far between. Although the crew was quite happy to be playing, we soon grew weary of playing small side rooms on minimal soundsystems, and it was time to make a change. This also marked the closure of the one of the only "rave-friendly" venues in the city, the Dallas Music Complex. Enter the second level of the 32 Degrees progression. The was a turn-over within the crew as member Andrue Oliver moved onto other pursuits, leaving control in the hands of Wes Stubblefield, James Roberts, Phil Hardwick and Howell Pugh. With this change brought a new soundsystem and a renewed energy. With the lack of quality events happening in the city, we took it upon ourselves to fill the void. The very first large scaled event was "Legend" featuring DJ's Barry Weaver, Nigel Richards, E-Sassin, Casper and Bobble....soon however the venue used for the event, Dallas Music Complex was closing. James and Wes set out to find a venue that would allow the crew to play Drum&Bass on their terms, and create a space that filled the venue void left by the closing of the DMC. Decibel was found in January of 99, and the slow tedious process of transforming it from a truck transmission warehouse to a viable dance space began...The time table was set so that the first large scale 32 Degrees shows were to coincide with the opening of Decibel but unfortunatley, it wasn't ready just yet. James was able to locate Old Fort Dallas just south of Dallas for those first all Drum&Bass events. These events, "Presha 99 and Tech 5000" really proved that Dallas was ready for the full D&B onslaught. Tech 5000 was also the first event that featured UK D&B talent in Dallas, and was the first of many appearances of Technical Itch and Decoder. The event was a serious rinse-out and proved that the scene was prepared. The grand opening of Decibel featured the likes of DJ Trace, Fierce, and MC Rymetyme, on a blazing night in May. As Decibel began to take shape so did the scope of the 32 Degrees event calendar. Soon our sound branched out (with James being a Househead it was only a matter of time!) and we started to do house and drum&bass events on a regular basis. During this time a long list of international talent rolled through the doors of Decibel. Other local crews, like Prototype, UMS, Household, Undefined Styles, Upbeat, Where's Waldis and several others used Decibel for some of their events, making it the premier party place in Dallas. Things rolled along fine for over 9 months, with over 40 events being held there, before a sudden and immediate closure by the Dallas Fire Marshall, despite having all the necessary and appropriate permits needed to run a dance venue. We believe there were lots of contributing factors in the closure of the building. Now however decisions are being made and it may be time to make a another change in the future of 32 Degrees. Stay tuned.....

A proper journey. Been listening to these 2 Dons for decades. Sublime, no nonsense mixing. Saw The Rider at 25 Years of Dread Recordings a year ago in Brixton. His set that night was next level, blew everyone outta the water IMHO.
This came thru on autoplay and after the bassline dropped I knew I was in the presence of royalty 👑
Beautiful music, mixed with such precision and skill. Without question, one of the best, never mind UK, DJs ever. Absolutely Glorious!!!

Best set I’ve heard Groove play for a while with some fresh unreleased tracks. If anyone has any track titles and info hit me up. #djpgrooves respect ✊
22:39.... im done.. 22:51.. ouch!
as a Dj this bored me..
I thought he was falling asleep a few minutes in..
I’ve seen better mixing in the bakers.
Djing 30 year but brings in a few tunes out, I’d expect him to be tight in the mix..
someone should show him where the sync buttons are🤣

FABIO original don of the dnb blend. calm n collected not like many of the young dj's i see on social meds, with their way way waaaaaaaaay over the top button twidles lols. respect to the og masters fab n groove. the scene owes so much to these two guys.
These guys are the legends that the lazers shone on in the earliest raves, and few DJs could match them
What a set. Britain really does produce some talent. Huge shout from the US.
Loving Fabio & Grooverider, and also other various UK electronica based acts like
Faithless, The Prodigy, UNKLE, Aphex Twin, Leftfield, Burial, Underworld, Orbital, Goldie, FSOL,

I actually reached down to that rave from London. Stevie Hyper D mashed up those nights!! Amazing memories. Big up the Cambridge crew!!
Same, listening to these guys since I was 15, now 43... Had some great nights at Warning in Cambridge alongside Rumble in Norwich bitd... One Love ❤💛💚
I've always noticed that Fabio, Groove, and Goldie always play pitched down from the norm. Gives the tracks a different feel. Just like dieselboy plays pitched up. I could listen to these slow rollers all day.
Let the breaks breathe...
Let's the track breathe, fabio, made me laugh in the 90's when he said he had just eaten a drifter, then explained that it was a chocolate bar!!!!!!
Crazy to think how long these guys have been around ..remember listing to. Drum and bass tapes from 92...still doin they thing respect...
Grooverider was a big Acid House DJ, so was DJ Hype and DJ Rap since the 80s. Absolute legends. They went through so many transitions from Acid House, Hardcore, Jungle to Drum & Bass.
@@TakeMeBackPirateRadio mad ting, glad you are everywhere providing the knowledge!!
@@felixdoylehammond2497 Always a pleasure! We really appreciate what they did and you can see their trajectory was incredibly hard graft. They earned it.

I was a 16 year old boy at (dreamscape, maybe 1995-6) rollers Milton Keynes...
Standing outside smoking a cigarette as my mates were in watching some other shit I wasn't interested in... when Grooverider asked me for a light. Dressed in crocodile skin (or some kind of crocodilian) A real gentleman.
A good 5 minute conversation later I got to experience the man's set.
Always hoped to speak with him again, one day.
What a night

I first saw Fabio and Grooverider at the legendary Slough Centre back in 89 or 90. I think I saw them as well at Clink Street, feels like a million years ago. I could not even start to count the amount of times I have seen them since, still legends, still dropping the huge tunes!

Can’t wait to see the man alongside Storm at Gretchen club in Berlin last week! So excited! I just turned 50, realizing that I first saw him 32 years ago at the Orange in Rocket club on Holloway Road. Used to go there every time, when I was living in London, doing A-levels..
I remember Grooverider back in the day.. World Dance at Wembley Conference Centre.... The main arena was so hot it was raining off the ceiling. Some of it was hitting the decks... and Grooverider just mixed it out badboy style :D

That mix at 58:40 is rollin.🔥🔥 Can’t understand why mainstream DnB is now all about 20 second long, triple drops of tunes that are 2mins long. Let the music breathe
Because youth attention spans have decreased due to instant gratification.
The mixes if the new breed are reflective of ticktock scrolling with severe attention deficit.
Who had better attention after double dropping a couple of doves?
Most relaxing deep soul sounds ❤️
