I met with him last summer and jokingly asked him to play this for me. He did it on the spot from memory with just as much ease as this recording. Ricardo is a living legend imo.
@@kevinngo9138 Hi Kevin....got to network with Ricardo several times personally in the last month at Larry Franks shop in oaklyn....actually got to play for him sitting right next to me....he liked my sound...still using the BD5, but with Olivieri #4 reeds....really looking forward to trying the BD4 and 7 in the future.

Great musicians can generally do that sorta thing. But, what a wonderful experience.
He was my clarinet teacher in high school over 30 years ago. He could play almost anything he had ever performed from memory even then.

Also give a hand to composer Béla Kovács.
So he is using Uebel now?
What mouthpiece?
BD5D
I live near philly and have heard him many times...curious, I play the same mouthpiece, but can't yet get that sound! What reed?
He uses Légère Synthetic Reeds.

Sounds like a # 5 Reed. Nice thick sound.
He has his own custom reeds made in Austria.

Don't know what he does to the clarinet, but I envy his wife, I can say that
