    "All true joy is borne out of sorrow". Thank you Pastor Bernard for allowing yourself to feel that sorrow if only for a moment. We sometimes forget to allow those moments to have their way and deprive ourselves of the joy that comes after.

    The word that falls in my spirit is "honor"! You honor God with our tithe. God is the perfect example of giving when he gave his Son Jesus Christ to redeem all of mankind. We give back to him bc we love him and honor Him. Abraham is our example when he gave a tenth.

    Law of first mention?
    The first mention of tithing, the tithe did not come from man's monetary employment wages, but from spoils of war. Tell you what, If I am ever in a war and win I will tithe any spoils that I may find.

    Nowhere does the text of Genesis 14 say that Abram was tithing as an act of faith.

    I have a problem with pastors who manipulate the word to convince Christians that God requires them to tithe.

    Was the tithing/giving, originally relegated to the Priest,irregardless of doctrinal preference ?

    I also though Pastor (not you) that try to teach it as a threat that God will curse you if you do not give a tithe. We should give because we love him and desire to spread his Good News.

    The "obvious" is God never said that man is to tithe his money, but pastors use device to bewitch people into believing they are required to tithe their money.

  • @standingfirminChrist
    @standingfirminChrist 2 года назад +2

    So what you are saying is Jesus and the apostles did not honor God. For they did not tithe their money in the Gospels.

    What Abram did was observe a pagan practice.
