- Hi everyone! For today's pairing episode, we're playing with the classic trench and a modern interpretation of the classic style. The trench is such a great investment piece because it's a wonderful transeasonal item, very versatile, and timeless. Even though it's meant to be waterproofed, I'd say it's more of a water repellent. The cotton fibers are tightly woven so that it takes longer for water to seep through during rain. When selecting a trench coat, I highly suggest looking for one that is mid to heavy weight so that it can endure harsh weather.

I used to do this in the late 90s. My favourite was a cropped denim vest on too of an oversized white button down blouse :)

I'm so happy you made this channel! Casual chic parings. I want to break out of my basic "mom" uniform which is jeans and a t-shirt or long sleeve usually black to something more interesting. Easy to wear especially if your day is taking the kids around and meeting moms for coffee.
