This is the first one where I actually preferred her (first woman) hair before. It was so much fun with that body and wave! And she said she was very low-maintenance so coloring her hair will just make her life harder in the long run. I personally think all gray/silver hair can be beautiful on women, especially when they have such volume!
Mariesque - I agree. I have hair similar to hers and recently had a lot cut off and actually prefer to straighten it because it's way too much to deal with. Although her straight hair and makeup are nice, I think they did her a dishonor. Her face and eyes are SO beautiful, that they made her less so with all the makeup.
Yep; I prefer how she looked before as well--she was gorgeous, vibrant, and original! The makeover is a blend in with the crowd look. I also think they should work in the person's maintenance preferences...why force hair color on her? And why must stylists ALWAYS straighten hair that has any wave or curl?
The firefighter in the before, she has such beautiful eyes, smile and gorgeous thick natural hair. After the makeover, like a lot of other comments said, she has a generic look. The before is what I would strive to look like as I age.
these people are ridiculous.. that first woman was stunning...she was so unique looking and she wasn't even a slob. her clothes were cute, nice boots, all she needed was some nice make up. and maybe straighten her hair to switch it up or something.. when will shows like this realize that not everybody should look the same?
I seriously expected to scroll down in the comments and see people comment on how they look better after but I'm happily surprised, I completely agree!! They looked so much more like themselves and more authentic before. I totally agree with you!
I think her hair needed help. It needed some texturing and layers to take the bulk out - and that's it. However, she likely grew it back like most long haired folks who have their cut off do.
They messed the First Lady up. People need to stop putting everyone into a box. Everyone doesn't want straight hair. Her hair was wavy and beautiful and she has a beautiful shape. Well I hope it grows out.
ooooh man her grey hair WAS SO FREAKING GORGEOUS!!! I cant believe they cut it!!!! Bad bad bad idea. She looked younger and her face looked thinner when it was grey and long.
Why they ruined her natural silver hair? She just needed a nice trim and blow dry, or a treatment to define her curls. That smooth look only lasts an hour. Not a real transformation.
I agree. She had such beautiful hair. All it needed was a slight trim, treatment and perhaps a semi permanent colour to turn the greys into highlights. No blow drying straight. Just something to enhance her mature curls. Well maintained and trimmed long hair is so convenient and versatile and not costly and time wasting to maintain. And men prefer it.
Her long grey hair was fabulous. Wtf did they do to her? Like these people know what looks good? Their faces are all distorted with injectables.. ew. Now she gets to look forward to another 3-4 years of awkward grow out stage.
I agree. Her hair before was so unique and she looked so beautiful. She still looks beautiful, but now she looks like every other woman they've had on there. Long hair, they cut it; dark hair, they lighten it; grey hair, they color it. The styles all look almost alike too.
i guess it would be far more efficient to make one only standard mock face mask witn the proper blond flat lame wig built in and give one to each woman in the world to wear before we go out. So that no one had to be herself any more and could find happiness at last
Would love to see one of these where they leave the BEAUTIFUL natural gray. When I decided to stop coloring my hair after 30 years I was actually disappointed I don't have more silver than I do! Won't let the beauty industry tell me gray hair and lines/wrinkles aren't beautiful. They are evidence of LIFE!
Lisa Beets Grey hair is okay provided that it has some silver coloring added to it to make it glossy and pretty!! My Dad, for example, had beautiful silver hair, and I privately called him "The Silver Fox"! In the case of the two ladies, maybe they should've had their ends trimmed and layers added for style, and some color to even out the grey tones without covering to much of the hair.
when someone keeps a look for years... it's wonderful to get a new look for the next new part of their life. i know fr experience. it just boosts you like you couldn't dream of.
I swear these people are like anti-long hair. The first woman hair was GORGEOUS when it was long and thick!. And I didn't like the green dress. I feel they could have done better.
Hey are you girls with long hair I love long hair ever since I was a kid I'm a Scorpio man and I think you're beautiful with long thick hair anybody that thinks you should Chop It Off because of your age or it's time to retire is nuts I love long hair she look beautiful at the beginning
The first woman, i actually prefer her previous look. She looks gorgeous with that wavy hair with grey hair streak. Plus, she already has beautiful face.
I really liked the way the first one looked before the make over, she looked so sweet and approachable, very pretty. After the make over she looked great too but it took away her identity in my opinion. x
The first woman was unique and stunning before, you'd look at her twice if you saw her in the street ....... now she's just run of the mill! What a stupid show!
Nooooo! the 1st one looked a 1000 times better with her original hair!!!! Now she just looks ordinary! Like any other middle aged mom out there who has no imagination! Her old hairstyle & colour was beautiful and made her very interesting looking! Lotsa character! I hope she lets it get back to what it was before.
Me, too. It's sad to think of the time it might take her to get back to her natural appearance if she doesn't want to pay to maintain this boring-ass makeover.
Exactly what I was thinking! Plus her grays come in in a cool pattern and it accents her great curl pattern. I am young but have grays going in a pattern as well and I don't want to change it in the future.
+Charlotte Brown I wish they would just help us with the long gray hair look better without covering it up. And not striating it, that is not low maintenance or easy.
+Charlotte Brown I agree with you and the reason for these makeovers is to sell products and services. The media tells young and old that we are not good enough the way we are and must adapt to their image of perfection. Big money is behind the push to deceive the masses. It is all about the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
+Charlotte Brown I agree with you and I wish they'd left her hair curly. The texture was beautiful and made her Unique like Elizabeth Taylor, but better
there's nothing wrong with ageing. 😯 i bet those women were gushing over George Clooney and his "distinguished salt n' pepper hair" at one point, but women who are not afraid to show their graying hair are considered "unkempt". where's justice in that?! 😑 she looked better before. Waaaay better. Now she just looks so generic.
+ShutUpReallyNow I agree with you. She looked beautiful before. It seems just like a change to make others accept her. It just shows how truly beautiful she is because her inner glow comes out no matter what they do to her.
Cashie〈3 I would love it if they colored her hair white? 😅 and straightened it with wavy ends.. pretty make up and a nice black dress.. her eyes would look darker with white hair.
I love how the lady's husband came and gaver her a hug and a kiss. He didn't want to leave her side. Fabulous. The first lady they took away all her uniqueness. I have curly hair and I'll remember to tell the hairdresser just enhance what I have don't make me someone else. 1st lady looked amazing with that salt and pepper hair and her eyes stood out so much more.
I liked her hair before, she just needed a trim and a styling. Her eyes looked awesome with that gray, now it is a mouse brown hair colour with a long soccer-mom haircut.
She looks beautiful before and after. I love the shorter more manageable hair. It looked good before as well. Just more polished after for both ladies.
she was absolutely perfect before ...they get on my nerves chopping all her beautiful hair off and coloring it ..smh she was a Greek goddess and they changed her into a mere mortal smh! 😣😦
What bothers me they make them look kinda all the same. Shoulder-lenthg or chin-length hair, straight...Its like this hairstylist knew only one cut...the first lady was much better before.
Skadi the Beast I know she looked more prettier in the face. For her, whacking the hair off and applying the (fake) makeup dumbed down her looks. She smiled with her eyes before, now she looks like a washed out cosmopolitan.
Yeah it's like they get curly hair and just want to straighten all the time. I have curly hair, it's irritating. Stylists on here should know how to style a wide variety of textures and make them unique.
I have a friend who lives in Connecticut she just lost her parents a couple years ago and can't stop grieving I believe it's because she's all alone. She was married but it was a very undesirable situation. She is one of the kindest most giving people I know. She is very badly in need of a makeover and I think it would help her.
I think these were wonderful makeovers! They both look beautiful! Nothing wrong with women that want to dye their hair and change their look if it makes them feel better - too much negativity in most of these comments!
I LOVED the wavy long dark grey hair with the stripes in it. A bit of color and styling and makeup would have made her gorgeous but in her personal style without taking away her uniqueness. Everyone looks the same on that show.
Do Americans hate curls? That first woman is absolutely stunning and has the prettiest hair I have seen in a long time. And now they turned her into someone that looks like she wants to hide herself and looks like any unremarkable tv presenter lady. Such a sad program, standardizing these women.
I totally agree with most of the comments. This women and her hair were beautiful, natural and unique before, she is still beautiful after the makeover but no longer natural and unique. I would not have changed a thing.
Now she just looks like those presenter clones. She was gorgeous and unique before they got ahold of her. They have also made her life more difficult and expensive. It's a pain to maintain that hair, just to look like everybody else. That green dress is ghastly. And don't get me started on the stupid shoes they always choose.
Great makeovers! They both looked fresher, younger and more put together. The whole point of the makeover is to give them a different look that they haven't done themselves before. Now Gary needs a makeover too:))
they should have kept that first woman's hair!!! so sad. they could have just done with a cool cut and style. she would have looked amazing with silver hair.
The first lady needed a stylist who could work with her natural wave pattern and bring out the curls. The color was beautiful the way it was. A mom with 5 kids doesn't need a high maintenance hair style!
I don't understand this urge to level down everybody's appearance to mainstream uninteresting sameness. Why sacrilege such an amazingly beautiful natural head of hair ??? Are all these people so unable to see genuine authentical beauty when they meet it ??
Corinne looked soo much better before! Her curls are beautiful and grey hair is natural. And that dress! It effaces the whole personality of the wearer.
That grey streak and wave was totally bomb!! I wish my hair looks like that when I'm older.
+Takawi Peters Agree 100000%
Totally agree
I was hope they kept her color and just cut and styled
i think she looked better before - more extraordinary. plus the lack of colour made her eyes pop
Happy

I was expecting some kind of short in the back long on top kind of undercut thing, would look so nice iwth her waves.
The firefighter in the before, she has such beautiful eyes, smile and gorgeous thick natural hair. After the makeover, like a lot of other comments said, she has a generic look. The before is what I would strive to look like as I age.

I agree, her hair was amazingly beautiful. Especially the color of it.

Maria Paalbie I thought the same! I was gutted they dyed her hair. It was beautiful
I totally agree !
But I loved her hair before... silver and voluminous and stunning. Also, she looks waayy better without makeup. She is a natural beauty.
She was stunning just naturally with that great hair
Her big wavy, salt and pepper hair was beautiful. She honestly didn't need a makeover.
I think her hair needed help. It needed some texturing and layers to take the bulk out - and that's it. However, she likely grew it back like most long haired folks who have their cut off do.

@@junegoodmanqueen9730 That's what I was thinking too! She looks even older than before!

She did it to herself...
the second lady looks amazing
The first lady's hair looked so pretty before when it was curly!
I loved her hair before the makeover. 😭
ooooh man her grey hair WAS SO FREAKING GORGEOUS!!! I cant believe they cut it!!!! Bad bad bad idea. She looked younger and her face looked thinner when it was grey and long.
Exactly! I thought the dress was ugly and unflattering, also.
they made the first woman who is GORGEOUS look frumpy as hell
My heart broke when they destroyed the beautiful salt and pepper. She has the hair everyone dreams they could naturally have when they're older
I also thought she was more beautiful before. Now she looks like just one of thre crowd.
I'm not dreaming of the salt and pepper hair she had at all.
@@suereed34746:12
Love the salt and pepper look
@@debratoofamoustomention8996 I am dreaming of hair that thick and wavy. I don't have much salt, but oaf, it's thin and flat.

It's only terrible because the modern shtick just makes them look dated and old. Their "regular" selves seem more authentic and young-ish.
I love women with grey her, I admire them for being brave and going against fashion, and I think it says a lot about their personality...

They make everyone look like the news casters
SO true! I always think "corporate boardroom" but newscaster is more accurate, makes more sense in this tv studio environment.
🤣🤣🤣🤣

her hair looks naturally curly so that length will look weird on her when its not straightened
Yeah when curly is cut one should think about how it will lay curly and straight. With her job she probably will not have time to straighten it often.
