Love it! Haven't been there since 2020. Thank you Russ!!!
You bet!
Hello from Puerto Rico Russ , in 2019 we went to Las Vegas , Hoover dam , Oatman and part of the 66 then to north , monument valley, Page , Moab , Arches , Moki Dawgway and others, thanks for your excellent information of that places ,
I ran across your channel by accident and I'm loving it. Your commentary is addicting in a beautiful way.
Going through all your channels and enjoying every second of it.
Big thanks.
Mater!
Did you get your kicks ?
I retired out there in Golden Valley one mile north of 66. I love the beautiful scenery in the desert and the mountains! 😎
I’ve seen more than one 18 wheeler stuck because they couldn’t make it through the switchbacks.
Russ, I'll be in Outman in a couple weeks; thanks to you. I didn't know this place existed until I saw your videos. I hope I get to feed the Federal Burros of Investigation.
Never get tired of old Route 66 yeah☮️🌵
Oatman is a fun town to visit and explore.
I always dream about heading out and exploring the southwest. I don’t because I can’t afford it and I don’t care about going alone. But!!! As I sit her watching your videos with the perfect music and drone footage I realize that I’m actually seeing more than I would from the road! Plus saving gas money!! I do want to pet a donkey though! Eat some good food, drink some wine and watch an Arizona sunset! Thanks for sharing Russ. 🌵 🎶 🍷
You can go with me next year.
Don’t you mean Off interstate 40
Yea at 13:40 you said I10. Nice video.
Thank you again for showing me places I want to go! I only live a few hours away...
You are so welcome!
Hey Russ, most of the cactus have bloom around here, Yucca. We have tons of color currently going. We uploaded a few video shorts. Stop by anytime when your around Yucca. I'll give you a tour.
Oatman. Sounds cool! Bring on more Route 66 👋🏼🇨🇦
More to come!
WE LOVE RVerTV - BEST TV ON RUclips.
Thank you so much I just love their Route 66 always wanted to travel the Mother Road
Just a month ago I drove this road….love it 🚗🚗🚗❤️❤️
Hey Russ great video again. Love the old Oatman When I was in the USA in 2017 I was hoping to visit one of theses old towns but never got around to doing it, looks like I might have to start looking at doing another trip this time I might do a Road trip since the Kids have growing up and won't be coming this time won't have to spend all my money on them at Disneyland and the amusement parks....lol
When you aim the camera on your drone straight down, I almost get dizzy and hold onto the arms of my chair out of fear ... lol ! Gawd, your drone views are awesome, Russ. I have stopped several times in Seligman (at the Shell gas station along I-40 and at the KOA campground) but Oatman is a place I still have to go after 15 visits, maybe next year. RICHARD
I remember your video showing the mountain spring last year. It's a good one.😊👍👍I'm glad Oatman survived!
I never get tired of this area and to see drone footage are views that many people have never seen. This country has such a variety of landscapes. Desert mountain areas with old roads like "66" are classics. Brought to you by R'ver TV. Too cool, lol. 👍👍🏍🏍🏍🙋♂️
A good place for rattlesnakes
Great video Russ hope to be there someday when I can travel again still lots of doctors to see but enjoy watching you go gives me hope
Best of luck!
Thanks for the video Russ 👍
My pleasure!!
I enjoyed this episode of What is Oatman Arizona Famous For? Good old Oatman AZ. Love it! Looking forward to rolling into town again sometime soon.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hey Rus!!? Haven't seem ya on a while!!! Ty for sharing
Its now on my travel list for AZ. Thanks for the quick tour Russ,
Hope you enjoy it!
Probably feels nice during summer at 3000+ feet elevation in Arizona. 🌵🌞🤠
Thanks, enjoyed the views thank goodness this area is surviving
Thanks for the ride today on one of my favourite roads. Top stuff Russ. 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍
Very nice ride down old 66, and an excellent tour of the old town Russ, Take care, Mike
Hey, Hey , It's RVerTV Russ Heading down Route 66 Awesome. 👍
Fabulous video love your videos.. Can't wait to see where you are planning this summer.
Thanks so much! 😊
Hi Russ, what a ride. Down by that burro you stopped at on the way to Oatman is a place we used to go swimming. Up under those trees. I used to work as an assayer there at the Goldroad Mine. There are actually tunnels under 66. One night on break i was out watching this 48' semi come down that hill. Let's say my break lasted longer then expected; we were all out watching him. He made it. That hairpin he backed up and pulled forward a few times. Great journey!
@6:40, was that the _Burro of Land Management_ ?
@@brucesmith9144 Still laughing!!!
@@brucesmith9144 BLM?
👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Aww I'm in BHC right now!
Good one Russ!!!
Hey Russ!!! " BURROS" !!!
a dry spring really makes me disappointed as I was really looking forward to beautiful bloom
Just had a friend come back from a trip (from Ohio) to CA via rte66. Thanks for taking us along on these routes.
I don't know if they still have it, but they use to have a classic car and hotrod cruise along that stretch of 66 every spring. That was fun.
Yes they do during the summer and fall...
Definitely got my kicks watching RV’er TV 📺 on Route 66. The Arizona Sidewinder looks like a great ride on a motorcycle.
Very cool!
Dave we are enjoying all these local visits, it is turning out great. Nice to hear your descriptions and knowledge.
Hi Russ, I enjoyed your videos. One day you could showcase Bullhead City. Bullhead City have some great parks. There is the Rotary Park. It's big with a beach, walking paths, soccer & baseball fields just to name a few activities. There is Veterans Memorial park too. And of course the Colorado River.
Hi Russ, @ 4:48, Glad to see your cameo appearance via drone footage! Thanks for sharing Oatman, AZ with us. Cheers!
Question: What is Oatman Arizona famous for?
Answer: RVerTV
Love the flags, 👍🇱🇷😁
Thanks. I'll be going thru there soon
Clark Gable was married there
We love your channel, and even travel a lot in your footsteps :o)
One question though… you don’t do your own oil changes? I own 3 diesels and other that the timing belt service etc… I do most services myself. If you have a hard time getting under the van or car, these days they have those vacuum pumps that suck the oil in like 10 minutes.
Hihi… just saying, you look so handy, and you can save a ton of money! The dealer charges us $399 (with coupon) for an oil change, I do it for 60 with the correct oil and filter, etc…
Anyway, love your channel, the kids are also looking forward each time there is a new video :o)
Last trip we did was Page, Kanab, Bryce Canyon, etc… other than the closer to home like Prescott and such…
Blessings!
Did the Oatman massacre have anything to do with the name....
Hey Russ, nice travel and video; where’s all the donkeys; Oatman usually has quite a few😎😎😎👍👍👍👍👍
Good question!
@@rvertv i am thinking when you filmed this, the sign said welcome bikers. i know horses are fearful of the loud motorcycles, so i think that might have something to do with no burrows. that's another neat part of Oatman,
So glad you stopped and took time to walk around there! I probably going to rewatch this just to look at the old architecture!
Maybe on vacation before the heat?😎😎
God Bless - United States America - Russ - RVerTV Fans. Tulips / Daffodils / Crocuses - flowers budding here in Eastern Canada. We Love RVerTV - Grand Journey Thru U.S.A. - Grand Videos - Grand Music. Russ Too Cool 4 School.
Route 66 (Americana) should be bicycled with the sun and velocity adjusted perfectly.
You mean p/up I-40 not I-10 also is one of the biggest producers of gold in the west great video Russ keep the great work..
My brother has lived in Bullhead City for 30 years and I have been up Silver Creek so many times to get up there I can't count. Very cool place just to get something to drink while 4×4ing old miner roads like we do. But when you go up there you have to go over Sitgreaves Pass and go to Cool Springs. It is cool too.
Just found my new favorite channel! Subscribed.
13:50 if u would take the car's out of this picture u make it in black n white or even not you 100% would think it's somewhere in the old west of America eh mate, anyway cheers from nsw.
Good hamburgers at Oatman. There's a dollar on the wall with my name on it. Enjoy
Hi Russ ..I was just there on rt 66 I went to Siligman and I'm at Grand Canyon staying on area 302 its beautiful free camping in the forest...save trucking 🤗
Very cool!
WE LOVE RVerTV.
It would be a good idea to have a police scanner with you during the fire season. You don't know where to be when those fires are burning.
Stating the obvious. That road through the pass is in bad condition. Quite dangerous.
I'm guessing before watching the video but I think Oatman is famous for Oats man.
Thanks for the great tours of Arizona--such a beautiful state!
Had you ever come across any Rattle snakes during your travels?
Arizornia, the next haven for fruits and flakes!
I have suspenders from Oatman that say “Route 66” & “Oatman” on them….. good memories….
i would love to travel my son has children and i dont have drivers licences i always want to travel that is so beautiful see the beauitul sites
Blooming in Ajo
Good Ol' "Garlicville".
So if there no fuel stations around this town where is the nearest place to get fuel including a market
Beautiful image 🇧🇷👍🙏👏👏
Many thanks
Yours are the first videos I watched, maybe one or two years. I LOVE burros. I get nostalgic. Can't locate my friend, I showed him your videos and he started watching, loved your videos. He moved closer to be near his son & haven't heard from him. He was 76, Viet Nam vet & I think he passed. Wonder if Vets admin would know. I'm 66, feels like getting old/ no one cares too much about old timers 🙄 There was a SCARY movie that was in desert, The CAR, so scary! Good to see you on RUclips
Cool stuff 👍ciao from Italy 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Love going for the ride to explore 👍🏻
hi russ how is your summer road trip going
on old rte 66 before the realignment
Beautiful location and one of the best drives on Route 66 it’s crazy how you can see old cars smashed off the mountains one of them is across from the active mine. Great video
Thanks!
thank you for the Super Thanks !! that really helps for future travel video... Thanks again
I took that route (coming from the other direction) when I visited a little stretch from lake havasu up to flagstaff, I really wanted to visit Oatman...next time I'm actually going to get out! lol...I didn't have a lot of time...I thought I've been seeing LOTS Of bloom near Phoenix...maybe just not near Oatman? Either way, I go picture crazy! Thanks for the vid, love seeing all the different vids on places I've been as well as places I'd like to go!
Love the drone video, thanks Russ.Cool little town.
Thanks 👍
Thank you for a VERY ENTERTAINING and informative tour. And all this time i was lying in a clean cool room. Fantastic best of both worlds. I went back and watched your video from 2 years ago at the Shaffer Pond in the middle of this. SO COOL!!.
Last video I watched in Oatman it was crowded with people and the were dozens of Burros in the street. Where were the burros this time on your visit??!
Older videos show you camping at Elks Lodge campgrounds. Do you still use them for camping?
Boy that's nice to have the van home, and stay over when you want. No bloom. Ty for trying. Hopefully AZ gets some rain. Hate the fires. Excellent drone footage. Beautiful drive to Oatman. Like the burrows, and that town has a lot of history. Glad when old building are saved. Ty again. 🙂👍
🙋♀️Hello Russ! Enjoyed seeing Oatman. I liked that old ringer washer?👍
Oatman is a ghost town. They have one bar and thats about it. Well that was about 55 years ago when I was 15 years old. I spent Summer Vacation living on a ranch between Oatman and Bullhead City. I worked at a plumming supply in Bullhead. We road Horseback into Oatman a couple times just for the helluvit. Now in this Video, Oatman is waaaaayyy built out for Tourism. Good for them. All those old western style buildings on the main drag in town? They are not old they are just built for tourists. Yep, good luck with it.
I was through this area 50 years ago when it was more alive just a li' bit-spiffier, let's say-but the old stuff might have been scruffier back then than today. So good for 'em on that. A young man evaluates things different than a geezer. Anyway, it's on my list now. Maybe this fall.
I think your channel has some of the best, most thoughtful motor touring videography on RUclips.
10:20 wow great view of deadman's curve... and the grave markers. never counted but there is a lot. you can really see how the old 66 road that's just dirt now went and turned so sharp with such a cliff... I've walked that. thanks for the view.
I have lived in Tucson and now Las Vegas and usually plan my weekend outings after I watch your videos … love your channel.✌️
That road from Kingman to Oatman is terrible and nerve-wracking. Its a road I will never take. I'll go from the westside up, its much much better. Thanks for stopping and showing Oatman. I risked the drive to Oatman and my husband didn't want to stop. I was soooo mad after that darn drive.
Love your videos there fantastic, keep up the good work . You must really enjoy doing them . Best of luck !
I have been to Oatman years ago. Many young burros there with curly fur.
And a sticker on them with "don't feed me", but they even entered the shops to beg for good.
If any road in Arizona needs work it’s I-40. That roads a train wreck. I-10 is as well.
I lived in Oatman in the 90s...looks a lot like it did then, but there are some new additions. Finally making things a little more accessible, and some new construction. thanks, enjoyed seeing my old town!
8:50 climbed that. its a natural spring alright. yep. some fish.
