  • (note: this is an art film inspired by The Rolling Bones Hot Rod Shop. It is a non-commercial piece.)
Defining the term "Hot Rod" is about as elusive as trying to find a deuce roadster that's been stored in some old farmer's barn since April 1st, 1932. It can and does mean many things to many people.
For The Rollng Bones Hot Rod Shop, it's about using many of the same parts and building hot rods the way they were when they were simply Hot Rods. While those men had no interest in the history they were creating, The Rolling Bones do. They were simply trying to go fast with what was available.
The Rolling Bones are simply trying to capture the look, the feel, and the soul of a late forties - early fifties Hot Rod with a story to tell.
There are lots of people in this world who claim to be artists but there are only a certain few who can put that very elusive magic in their work.
Great Hot Rods are also works of art and The Rolling Bones will argue that point with you until the beer runs out. Like a romantic painting, when you look at it, a great Hot Rod will tell you just enough of its story to grab your emotions and let your imagination take you as fast and far as you want to go.
That's what they build, stories, in The Rolling Bones Hot Rod Shop style, one story at a time.

An absolutely beautiful traditional hotrod. Every detail has a purpose, but the car looks like something you can drive. NOT like something that belongs on a spinning display at a car show for a bunch of dreamers,
    Well done.

The way hot rods should be built! Probably, cost as much, as a high end finished rod. This is the way they were. Great job, guys!

I feel this, the movement of the sun, shadows, reflections, looking up.....it's far distant memories of riding in a basket on the seat as an infant looking up at my dad driving..

One of the best looking cars on the planet....Without a doubt! Pure vintage style! Not like some of the cartoon crap they are slapping together nowadays....and they have the nerve to call them hotrods. Great Video!!!!!!

at first glance it looks like it might be overdone with shiny paint and just too finished all around, but then you get closer and see that the paint isnt perfect and the engine isnt chromed out and no door panels etc. I LOVE this car, It is absolute perfection, I like how it doesnt have white walls, this car is too cool for white walls, absolute masterpiece!!!

1st song - Conor Oberst, "Cape Canaveral", off of self-titled album
2nd song - Aphex Twin, "Lichen", off of Selected Ambient Works Vol. 2
3rd song - Ryan Adams, "Let It Ride", off of Cold Roses
We have got a lot of questions about the music. This video is definitely promoting theses artists' music and helping sell their albums.

The songs are varied...expect an "offline" reply.

Rear wheel cylinders are installed backwards, no emergency brakes...no cable. The list probably goes on.... I have seen a few RB cars and up in other shops to get re-worked and road worthy. They are "art" cars ...nothing more. You won't find many post war cars with extended wheel bases.

Video very well done! Yet, the Rolling Bones? Not clever and Camel Toe Racing is just simply childish. Nice car though and a true basic hot rod.
