Guys keep in mind that Hollywood studios has only 4 RIDES, AND THAT PARK WAS MADE IN 1989! This park is brand new so you should think about that before you complain that there is nothing at this park
And it cost 4 or 5 billion (with a b) dollars. It would be much more expensive if they made it in the Midwest (Disney Heartland). Universal Harry Potter has only 2 maybe 3 rides... and that is spread across two parks. it is an impressive park and I am jealous!
DRAGOON9908 they closed a bunch of them down to make room for different stuff and they are about to add a bunch of new rides and don't forget about the 5 shows that are there
wait four rides? 1. Tower of Terror 2. Star Tours 3. Rockin' Rollercoaster 4. Toy Story Mania....but now theres toy story land and soon star wars. There WAS Great Movie ride and Backlot Tour though so its really just a transition period. I always thought of MG....The Studios as a more spectacle park, like Fantasmic, Beauty and the Beast, Indiana Jones, Little Mermaid, and Muppetvision. Plus the various little shows here and there and the old sound studios and the old car show I never got to see (and then I missed in Paris cuz it was too cold to sit there.) It was nice to ride the Backlot tour again in Paris though, and get a non-90s camcorder video of it!
I was recently on a school trip there and we got to go up to the gates but couldn’t actually go in the park. It was fun and I ate breakfast at their hotel!
Thanks for the great video! I was concerned about how many days I would like to spend in the park. You covered most of the attractions and shows. Never mind the remarks from the peanut gallery! Now to find a video with informative commentaries.
Amazing park but 50% disney feeling.. I visited Orlando, California and Paris and yes in Shanghái they have more modern and bigger atracctions but the park is so empty in some areas to feel it like older DisneyParks.
Shanghai is currently the only Disney park I have not visited yet. Every park has its perks and drawbacks. This park reminds me of Hong Kong when it first opened up, but this still has more rides than HK did at opening, so I expect it's only a matter of time though before people get acclimated to having a Disney park there. Paris started off empty, and the second time I went, it was more crowded. It does have a very open feel to it though. I think that'd be to our advantage as far as lines go.
TheRealConcertKing We have wait more age for new attraction. But the flight of Peter Pan and the pirates is absolutely amazing. If they added "Is a Small world" I go instantly to Shangay. For the rest, I go in Florida xd.
Just Shanghai things. When I lived there it was like 80% bad weather and out of 4 years, I witnessed complete clear skies once where I could almost see across the city after a huge storm lol
That's one reason I've never visited. I've literally never seen anyone post a Shanghai Disney photo without the same hazy grey sky. It kills the mood for me.
Duston McCreary Yeah its a little depressing, but the park is brand new and has many modern versions of great attractions. I think its worth a visit, even if its not the Magic Kingdom or Disneyland
You are correct. Unfortunately I did not have to time to cover 100% of them. Mainly due to long queues and the fact that some of them were inside buildings without the possibility to watch from outside.
Hi! I need your help with obtaining a China tourist Visa in the USA. I don't have a Chinese Consulate in my state. Is there an online visa service? "You may entrust someone else to drop off your application at the consular office of the Embassy" is NOT an option for me and I know Mailed applications are not acceptable. Which agent did you use, if any? I want to go to Shanghai Disneyland for two weeks and no other stops on this vacation. I'm writing you because you visited Shanghai Disneyland and hopefully can recommend a good agency or online visa service. Thank you so much in advance for your assistance! :-)
Which state you in? There are Chinese consulate in NYC , Miami , Chicago, Houston , San Francisco and LA and a embassy in DC. You have to go to the consulate in accordance with your state
@The Reverend Jim Jones Mentioning Ghosts in China is forbidden, so you will never see a true HM in either Chinese Park. The closest is Mystic Manor in Hong Kong.
I've never visited for three reasons. 1) too many people 2) seems like a very small park 3) I've never seen a pretty photo or video of the park; always the same grey sky which kills the atmosphere for me
There is a carrousel 😂 and the reason that there isnt a haunted mansion is bc they belive that haunted rides brings bad spirits in their parks Thats Why Hongkong disney dont have one to
Without going there, The things I don't like are the lack of space mountain, frontierland, and of course I always hate that they stopped tiki rooms, country bears, and splash mountains. I often wonder if they will ever surprise us with a foreign matterhorn.... To me this park in many ways seems like an incomplete magic kingdom, especially when MK makes the Tron Coaster. IDKY they stopped with the Star Tours either, but maybe its not popular in China. Yet they still do the star wars thing in HKDL.... I'm split on their mainstreet cuz it's weird but it seems more of a condensed USA like buildings from different states. The Hollywood Studios style building seems totally random looking with a castle park but I can't judge without going there. What I do like is the pirates area, the land looks really realistic, and goes well with the distant waterfalls like a far off island. I like the design of Tomorrowland and how it looks like Epcot styles. I like that they put some local culture into the park which lacks from HKDL. (unless you count the jungles). I like the rapids ride and I LOVE that it's a unique story and not a tie in. I really think Disney parks need more of these again. Especially in Epcot, and DCA.
christopher felipe Oh really? Dude like I wanted a park like these here in Brazil, although I still do not know why Disney has not invested here yet, maybe because the demand is very low. Anyway, I think if you or anyone else walks into the park, I'd change my mind quickly.
Other than Tron, Shanghai Disney sucks!!! It's missing so many E Ticket rides from other parks like the Haunted Mansion. Ghost is bad luck in Chinese culture. And consider they're Communist so it makes sense. Now that Tron is coming ot US, there's no reason to go to this dump. I rather go to Tokyo Disney.
I went to this Disney park, just looking at all the videos possible to keep the best memories alive. I want to go again

DRAGOON9908 those who are complaining can't afford to go to Disney Parks overseas that why theyre bias to US parks.
DRAGOON9908 they closed a bunch of them down to make room for different stuff and they are about to add a bunch of new rides and don't forget about the 5 shows that are there
DRAGOON9908 they are building Star Wars and the most immersive hotel Disney has ever created. So, Id say wait and see..
wait four rides? 1. Tower of Terror 2. Star Tours 3. Rockin' Rollercoaster 4. Toy Story Mania....but now theres toy story land and soon star wars. There WAS Great Movie ride and Backlot Tour though so its really just a transition period. Shanghai Jack Sparrow is great !
I agree
Ar Min He looked like the original Johnny Depp Jack Sparrow
Treasure cove and tron are amazingggg . Worth the experience
I'm going there soon!!!! August 11!!!!! Can't wait to go there and see my family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maddy Xxxx Me too😂😂
Is it funn?? Or is it really crowded?
I was recently on a school trip there and we got to go up to the gates but couldn’t actually go in the park. It was fun and I ate breakfast at their hotel!
Wait, was that a Chinese Captain America? That Jack Sparrow was pretty good!
Yes it was :). And Jack was very funny to watch, especially around the girls.
He resembles Johnny Depp
@@erikssc
That jack was amazing
nice!! planning to go there this December 2019!
Great job on the video!
Thanks! :)
A great city and a great video too - well done travel by erikssc

Thanks for the great video! I was concerned about how many days I would like to spend in the park. You covered most of the attractions and shows. Never mind the remarks from the peanut gallery! Now to find a video with informative commentaries.
I have never been to any Disney park, for me all Disney parks are like dreams.
amazing video, thank you!
Thanks :).
they recently opened toy story land in shanghai disneyland
I'll go there when my house is done it's so cool thre
Great video, very helpful! I didn't see the Pirates stage show though?
Thanks! I can't remember that they had a stage show with pirates there?
erikssc They do.
Super 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I want to go there it looks fun to me
It is!
Great Video
Thanks!
Tron best ride I went on there
interesting treasure cove.
Amazing park but 50% disney feeling..
I visited Orlando, California and Paris and yes in Shanghái they have more modern and bigger atracctions but the park is so empty in some areas to feel it like older DisneyParks.

Me and my family are going there on December is it really cold in that month? Im from the Philippines. Thank you
Ramona Louisa Baliao Hello, kabayan! Yes, it’ll be cold that time. Estimated weather can reach up to 15 degrees celsius! :D
Other than Pirates and Tron that's a pretty boring park. Thanks for the video though, it's interesting to see everything cut together like that.
I think there's also an Iron Man ride which is similar to Star Tours. Or am I thinking Hong Kong Disneyland?
Hong Kong Disneyland
Buzz lightyear is really cool also they have a kali river rapids style ride that's very cool
TheRealConcertKing We have wait more age for new attraction.
But the flight of Peter Pan and the pirates is absolutely amazing.
If they added "Is a Small world" I go instantly to Shangay.
For the rest, I go in Florida xd.
TheRealConcertKing what is wrong with you
tron and pirates is awesome
Every Shanghai Disneyland Video has bad weather :(
Just Shanghai things. When I lived there it was like 80% bad weather and out of 4 years, I witnessed complete clear skies once where I could almost see across the city after a huge storm lol
wuzeltown Problems of building parks in places that arent Florida or California
That's one reason I've never visited. I've literally never seen anyone post a Shanghai Disney photo without the same hazy grey sky. It kills the mood for me.
Duston McCreary Yeah its a little depressing, but the park is brand new and has many modern versions of great attractions. I think its worth a visit, even if its not the Magic Kingdom or Disneyland
The place of a misty atmosphere when it’s not Halloween
I just wish they’d made the train station an actual railroad!
Shanghai disney fireworks show is nearly identical to Disneyland Paris fireworks
Where’s Space Mountain?
Adventure Isle is actually AdventureLand
See you soon
Wheres soaring?
Sorry, the line was too long and not possible to film from outside.
you forgot about the Snow white walk through..
Yes, unfortunately did not manage to get them all.
Shanghai Disneyland needs an attraction based on the lion king
do the cast members speak English? or there any signs in English
Yes and yes :).
0:24 Why is he grabbing Mickey's arm? That's so fucking weird and awkward...
That's not where his hand is.
Cheep Cheep not all Asians , just Chinese mainlanders
omg 😱💕💯😁
Does anybody know if Characters in shanghai disneyland sign autograph books?
I want to go... I'm learning some Chinese because of my "little" dream
Is it possible to go all rides in one day?
Because of long lines on the most popular rides, this would be difficult.
In peak seasons they sell VIP tickets, which allow you to skip the normal lines. The VIP tickets are very expensive so the VIP line won't be crowded.
How much is the VIP tickets per person?
aris Purwono 2x the price of a ticket, plus you need the actual ticket
Not all rides are on here like where are soaring over the horizon and the phoo dark ride??
You are correct. Unfortunately I did not have to time to cover 100% of them. Mainly due to long queues and the fact that some of them were inside buildings without the possibility to watch from outside.
What happened to Soaring Over the Horizon?
Sorry, got to that ride at the end of the day and they had 2 hours waiting time. Also impossible to film from the outside, so missed out on that one.
Its there, but didn't have time to cover it.
Where my space mountain?
Tron is like the same thing, with a cooler seat and different theme.
At Walt Disney world we will have both very soon I can’t wait for it
Hi! I need your help with obtaining a China tourist Visa in the USA.

Hi Tom, I used the Chinese Embassy in Oslo, Norway, so I am afraid I am not familiar with the system in the USA.
Which state you in? There are Chinese consulate in NYC , Miami , Chicago, Houston , San Francisco and LA and a embassy in DC. You have to go to the consulate in accordance with your state
What’s kylo ren talking。。。
Do they not have a haunted mansion
@The Reverend Jim Jones Mentioning Ghosts in China is forbidden, so you will never see a true HM in either Chinese Park. The closest is Mystic Manor in Hong Kong.
hmm so only 1 roller coaster at tomorrowland
But its a good one! :)
So around 10 actual rides in the whole park?
There are a few more that were either closed or the lines were too long for me to endure...
erikssc oh, so that's why you didn't even show the sign for soaring Over the Horizon
Marchant2 "All major attraction".
You read this?
I've never visited for three reasons. 1) too many people 2) seems like a very small park 3) I've never seen a pretty photo or video of the park; always the same grey sky which kills the atmosphere for me
Yes can be quite busy at times, but the park is not small. The weather depends on which season you travel.
This is not small. It is reported to be the largest disney park ever built. Check it in google and you may find more info about it. :)
The only thing I hate is the parade
Nakaka walang gana eh, haba ng pila. Pinoy? Haha
WHY YOU NO HAVE HAUNTED MANSION!! >=(
Worst park. Worst people. Best rides. Best technology.
To me Disney is more of a American thing but I also think it is great to share Disney with other countries
0:26 wtf
Just Mickey being Happy! :)
The music is from despicable me HAHAHAHAHA
whats wrong?
I don't really like Shanghai Disneyland.
What? Weird Castle, not a proper Main Street, no Small World, Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, etc
I have been to five Disneyland parks around the world and Shanghai is actually not so bad.
erikssc I think the park is brilliant, don't get me wrong, but being a long time and die hard classic Disney fan, I need my classics.
There is a carrousel 😂 and the reason that there isnt a haunted mansion is bc they belive that haunted rides brings bad spirits in their parks Thats Why Hongkong disney dont have one to

Janet Vonnik exactly. Shanghai is brilliant, greatly themed, and seems good on food and entertainment, but yeah it just feels incomplete.
The rides are rip offs
What do you mean by that? You don't pay anything more after you have entered, but the lines can be long of course.
Looks
Like a nightmare i use to have....
In a Fever Dream...
Disgracefully Underwhelming.
very disappointing park ...I know its new .....there are not a lot of rides .....very underwhelmed
christopher felipe Oh really? Dude like I wanted a park like these here in Brazil, although I still do not know why Disney has not invested here yet, maybe because the demand is very low. Anyway, I think if you or anyone else walks into the park, I'd change my mind quickly.
shut it it has 45 what else u want
They bought a lot of land so they have room to grow.
Hello I am Aussie and you know why I joined Australia cityzen because we are hostile forces

The video is well done but it is Disneyland that is not beautiful.
