My brother and me was deaf, but my little sister want to learn BSL. My mum and dad little bit sign language. My brother and me was understand for my mum dad say. Because we have a hearing-aids or cochlear implant. But hearing-aids and cochlear implant will help you for hearing. If you want hearing-aids or cochlear implant. You need go and see doctor then doctor will give you. I know you feel sad and you want talk with your family for sign language.
Hana Hamed Well actually, i am full deaf. I couldn’t hear anything even with hearing aids. Gratefully, my parents learned ASL and taught me since i born.
Oh gaaash... I know the anger from being treated like this. The refusal to learn a sign language... Or how about the phone call where the receiver doesn't say ANYTHING... (?) to the deaf person until the phone has been DISCONNECTED?! Gah! I've lived with this all my life, too. However, to not be able to communicate with your own parents, who are your first gurus, the first woman you meet, the first man you meet, your whole childhood or even into adulthood, that is REALLY DIFFICULT! I know of some broken families from my past because of this. The parents never learned sign (my father started to learn it until the school for the deaf I went to forbid him to teach it to me, saying that "it would make your child too lazy to learn to speak"). I was one of the lucky few who could learn to speak and lip-read well. Come to think of it, The number of deaf American-born Hindus must be on one hand! Being left out of conversations is one reason I quit going to group get-togethers in the city anymore. Plus, because of my oralist upbringing, it was hard to communicate with Deaf people as fast as they could, since I have not been around many signers. However, going out to meet groups of hearing people was even worse, since it's impossible to track every speaker position in the room, especially when it's noisy. At 17-18-19 minutes, now that is Pātāla Loka... I understand the frustration with the lack of communication. It is one reason why, as a deaf American child growing up, I never sufficiently westernized to be tied to the identity of an American. I don't identify with it ultimately, and I see I want to go to Bhārat because I feel I have a much more civilizational commonality there than here. I'm an outsider in my own culture because I am not "western" enough, and I've never even been Christian. This let me "uplink" into Sanātana Dharma (Hindu Dharma) without a conversion process from an Abrahamic religion like Christianity. At 24 minutes, I feel hugely disappointed in the brother(?) and father discussing business in America, fawning over our country like fools when we are beset with economic problems and adharmic living. I have to wonder why people have to suffer like this... The very end was tragic in that time was wasted because it seemed as though it was impossible that the father would accept the ISL class idea... How can I help change this for deaf Indians there? I am profoundly deaf myself.
Deaf language love sign famliy teach mother or father see first A to Z understand again wait full Easy help same brother let go talk chat with travel or play like you right Happy good very ❤️ 😊
I don't know why people think that deaf people are mentally challenged by looking at their expressions... Like chill out dude... They are just using expressions as voice modulation
