This movie was absolute agony to watch in the most beautiful way possible. Watching an hour and a half of a woman going through mourning had me crying many times... I love the director, and I loved this movie. Beautiful.
Fun fact: The voice of Hinako (the girl) is Merit Leighton, who also did the voice of the adorable Lucinda, the Good Little Witch, on "Sofia the First", Frosta on "She-Ra and the Princesses of Power", Hannah on "Alexa and Katie" and many more.

The song cover scene where the two leads sing the song together as a duet is alright. Both Merit Leighton and Joey Richter do a pretty good singing with what they’re given. Some of the words chosen didn’t flow too well with the song tho.
I loved this movie, and GKIDS did a fantastic job dubbing it. I love that here they actually sound like real college students (and were voiced by people around that age)-makes it more authentic. And to those of you who are not huge fan’s of the female lead’s voice-the character isn’t supposed to have a great singing voice. The actor playing Minato here, Joey Richter, actually does have some singing experience (he did musical theater and records his own songs), so that is a plus.
Done watching this and I cried alot I really recommend this movie! You can't watch it without crying at the main character's emotions. I highly recommend it!

SPOILERS: Never have I watched a movie that both made me cry so hard through the pure and raw emotion of its story _and_ have a scene in which the main character literally surfs down a column of water traveling down an abandoned building in one of the raddest fucking scenes that's ever been put on a storyboard. A true masterpiece of a movie, highly recommend.
The animation was so superficial, exotic, and nostalgic for their life was ordinary but their relationship and love was out of the extraordinary....... And the song was well suited to it....... One of the indestructible love story anime of all times..... Loved it🥰😍 # Ride your wave..... 😉🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊
I've remember watching this video abt a year ago and I told it to myself that I gonna watch this but Im broke then later this year I've saw some vids talking abt this movie so I watch it and I really cried alot.
Lol it’s a rlly good anime I recommend it only is you wanna cry I prefer it in sub cuz it hits a lil more than dub but yea I just finished crying and you also might not see water the same way you did before after you watch this anime 😭
