The 4.5 with the sight block is great in theory, especially for the few like me who don’t run optics and primarily use irons. But if you do run optics and aren’t too concerned with irons, what benefit does the sight block provide? After all, you’re looking for your dot not the front sight. Perhaps I’m ignorant on the issue.
@@fearnonebutone4977 You’re correct, if I’m running a red dot the sight block isn’t a huge deal. I like that it’s a 1/2 inch longer barrel, & other than the sight block being a cool feature, I do use front sights as an index point with red dots on some guns. It’s a feature, but not a requirement
@@TheWeaponCollectiveNice, thanks for the response. I would love the HD line, especially the 4.5 if they made a way to run traditional irons but it appears that rear sight is really on there and isn’t part of a plate system. I still love and carry the P Heritage, C full size and cS with the QVO X mainspring extension. Not terrible worried about the recent “drop safe” issue, as every AR/SBR technically has the same “issue”, yet they are carried in battle, in patrol vehicles and Swat deployments. I carried an AR my entire LE career and nobody cared about the fact that if dropped while deployed, directly on the muzzle at a 90 degree angle with enough force to generate inertia, that a round MIGHT go off into the floor. Nobody really cared when series 70 1911’s were used in WW1, WW2, Vietnam and Korean War. It’s crazy that one youtuber/shooter makes a video dropping his XC perfectly at 90 degrees, now everyone is writing off the 2011’s.

@TheWeaponCollective well I don't run NV but I do love the Aimpoint T2 because of the light weight and long battery life. I have a T2 on a Badger Ordnance 1.7" height mount on my Sig Spear LT, one on my POF P415 with an American Defense lower 1/3 mount and I also have a Trijicon MRO on a Reptilia corp lower 1/3.. Those are my favorite red dot sights anyway. On the HK since it's a tad heavy I would definitely stay with the T2 but on a shorter mount. I'm really loving the Badger 1.7" mount. I just think some of these new NV mounts are getting out of hand with the height lol. I'm very seriously thinking about getting an mr556 A4 in the 11". Does it seem pretty heavy or manageable? Sometimes the weight can be deceiving because it can depend if its balanced good or not.. you know..because I love piston guns but after we get all our crap on them they can get heavy pretty fast. Especially if they're heavy to begin with.
@ I like the Badger Ordnance mount.. they make some great stuff, I know what you mean that mounts have gotten tall but there’s some things I like about them, besides just NV. But as they say, there’s a screw for every nut. I have talk optic mounts & not as tall, but I can’t go back to mounting direct to the rail. That’s just too low for me. As for the weight, I will say it’s not my lightest gun but in comparison to my 416 (BRN-4) it’s waaaay lighter. That thing is a boat anchor. But like you mentioned, it is well balanced. But I just got it & haven’t had the opportunity to run it yet. That’s where I will really notice the weight. I’m going to have a video on the A4 soon, so I will be able to share my thoughts on that. Sounds like you have some pretty sweet guns!! I like hearing that.

But I had a similar experience with the XP Pro, it was very accurate!
I love the channel and I absolutely love the HK mr556 a4 but that red dot set up on top looks so stupid it's unreal. I don't care if you're running NV or not you're ruining the good looks of that gun. Shame.. rant over, carry on..
@@patriotgunner Haha, I get that it’s not for everyone. I don’t take it personally. What would you put on it if it were your gun?
@TheWeaponCollective yes sir and it's never ending, I've always got several things I want in the gun realm. Either guns, scope/red dot/suppressor ect. Lol. I just bought a B&T APC 9 pro last month and now I'm seriously considering getting the A4. It's never ending haha
@ Oh I know how that goes my man, there’s always the next thing. It’s so addictive it’s crazy! There’s just way too much cool stuff!
it doesnt have the HD badge on the front. lame
Stacatto, wow glock mags. Big freaking deal. That's the best of shot? Sad
