Cover letter: 1. Three paragraphs - 70 percent of A4 2. Why the company - specific market, specific deals look at the news and try and meet other people. 3. Why the division - touch on previous work experience to help with this. 4. Why you ? - selling the skills you have and the interpersonal skills.

Thank you for the amazing content. I really enjoy how you break everything down in to an easy and concise manner. I have no doubt you succeeded in you career and how you’ll undoubtedly rise the ranks here in no time! What’s nice is much of the content transcends IB to many career paths
Greatly informative video. I'm an A-level student applying for insight days; should I use the same structure? Given the insight days aren't division specific I can't really write about the 2nd point.
A majority of companies hire recruiting companies to search for candidates on their behalf so the applicant doesn't even know what company he is applying to. So how do you suggest writing cover letter in such cases? What to write instead of the first paragraph (why this company) and the second one (why this division of the company)?
Can you help for career changers/young professionals. I am in my twenties so in early career but not happy with what and where I am going and considering going into finance as an investment analyst. I have a 2.1 philosophy degree with experience from property background
Hi Hussein fist of all thank you so much for these valuable information. I'm a second year student in financial economics ... and 3 years experience in fundamental trading in the financial market.. Do you think that would give me a higher chance to be accepted in an internship in investment bank?
Your vids are great bro. Quick question, should I put a cover letter with my cv even if the company only asks to upload the cv?? Because right now theres only an upload cv button right now.
Hello Afzal, In my case, my long-term objective is to get a leading position at a top DFI like the World Bank, can I draw a story in my cover letter about Investment banking being a first step to build my skills and a strong network before moving to what truly drives me ie very selective development economic players afterwards or is it ill-seen? I want to capitalise on that to be able to stand out in the cover letter but some of my friends recommended me not to as it's said Investment Banks wants to see applicants stating they want a long-term career in IB (which I think is weird because everyone knows a lot of people go through IB just for the exits ...) Thank you for your help!

This should have been uploaded before the application season started as you could have gotten more views
Agreed and sorry!
The efinancial careers article seems to be removed. Could you upload it somewhere else?
Really helpful video, thank you!!

One question, how to put all of these into 300 words GS cover? I tried and found it nearly impossible, thanks in advance.
This helped significantly.
Thanks for watching!
