In regards to Chess, given its limitations as a game (compared to various dynamics and different skills required for other games, not just one specific thing) the same player can have an amazing game where it seems like they are rolling, only to get smoked the next game, all within the same Elo.
Same goes for any game

People always talking about controllers in Apex, but that Diamond would gain nothing from the switch and have no aim assist on long range scopes. That guy only is diamond because of decision making skills cause that aim was extremely good.

I hate how a lot of people use rankdle to upload their "super cool play" clips, when in all reality, 99% of them are really underwhelming

kind of, there's a lot of holding angles and very cautious play due to how low the time to kill is
