With a mid engine car, if you’re already in mid corner and you stab the brakes, the rear is gonna wanna come around. You can use that to your advantage with practice!

Sweet video. Love it. I’ve just started lifting after being inspired by you. It’s hard to put on muscle as a skinny guy but I’m committed to my training. 2mths in of 6 days a week push/pull/legs and just starting to notice some changes. Thanks Dustin and keep the lifting segments coming IMO.

After you get some RE71RSs on this thing and get an alignment that fits your driving style, you're gonna absolutely rip in this thing! It's not the Cayman and it's definitely not a 911, but it's still a Porsche, and Porsches are cool.
Side note, seeing you drive it at Laguna Seca would be awesome! I can't imagine doing the Corkscrew in this car, lol.

Dustin, it may be completely unrelated due to being different cars and for different applications. But my street WRX had a 3rd/4th grind that I was able to fix with a shockproof cocktail. I believe what I used was specifically formulated for the WRX/STI, but I'd imagine some kind of trans cocktail exists for Porsches and hopefully would help.

Alignment
Have spare fluids
For mechanical spare’s definitely keep suspension spares, wheel hubs, studs, wheels.
Fuel spares (such as pumps, lift pumps, injectors, high pressure pumps for example)
Engine spares (spark plugs, Ignition coils, cooling hoses, drive belts, expansion tanks, common engine maintenance items to start)
Brake spares (pads, rotors, caliper rebuild kits or spare calipers, master cylinder’s)
Make a wiring kit (common wiring supplies and tools to start)
Purge tires with nitrogen then work on tire pressures
I’m definitely not listing everything but this is a good start. We’re Thunder Bunny Racing running Supra GT4s in WRL with one being at Pikes Peak Currently
Follow the Porsche service intervals and rebuild times to prevent failures. We are very eyes on with timeout parts and services.

small observation, when you are braking u touch your gas pedal a bit, so if you have a bit of worse braking performace, that could be it (not hating or anything
Came here to say the same! Pedal placement in these seems more narrow for heel toe, but clipping throttle while braking means a higher chance of spinning out. Just needs to adjust his footwork and he's 👌 @dustiinw

150hp? I thought they had 201 from factory?
986.1 had 201hp, 986.2 had 217hp. 986.3 had 228hp. He has the 1999 model year so it has 201 HP but he also has the tail lights from a newer 986.3 Boxster. I'm curious if he is estimating 150 wheel horsepower, but that's also pretty low for that car. They barely have any drivetrain loss compared to other cars.

@@thatsubarulife9817 thats wrong. The S2000 has a front-mid engine since the whole engine is behind the axle, just like the AMG GT.

You say you’ve never driven and it’s your first time driving mid engine rear wheel drive but you have an old porche you drive often so technically it’s not your first time
There’s a large difference between driving a car on track and on the street lol.
Love the addition of the pedal box camera angle. Gotta stop riding clutch pedal when you're not shifting! Be mindful and use your dead pedal, that's what it's for.
