- Using a ShopBot and the Vectric software this training will help users create raised vectors including text and other shapes. Users will learn how to setup a larger area clearance tool, offsetting vectors outside your work area, working outside of the ShopBots default 0,0 and hold down for a material that is going to be completely surfaced. It will be an action packed training and we hope you can join us.
Learning so much on these videos. I had never used the prism toolpath. It's exactly what I was looking to do on a sign I'm designing. Can't wait to get on my machine and try this.
Thank you for sharing these new techniques! I will put this into practice today! I was wondering how one can muster a 3rd tool change (or 4th or 5th...). This technique details this process in great detail!
Thanks Teacher!
Just what I was looking for. Thanks very much!
Great training video
Thanks .... this is excellent!
Vectric VCP 8.5, Mach 3. Thanks for you YT video it helped a lot. In the cutting I’m making the 60 deg bit for the slanted side lettering is leaving some spaces between the V cut sides that are not cleaned up. Using a 1/4” bit for cleanup. How can I clean those little spaces up, they are as small as 0.100” wide. And I don’t want to use a 1/16” but as the cleanup tool.
Where did you get the dust boot? I’m having trouble finding one that will work for me.
Hi can you show step by step from the beginning create the text, logo and other?thank you.i cant create text.
Good video. Too bad there was no specific info on bits used.
It's been a bit since this video was recorded -- but going through the cuts it looks like we've got a 1/2" straight flute for clearing out the majority of the material in the pocket, followed by a 1/8" straight flute for the corners. Then we switch to a 90 deg V-Bit (1/2 cutter diameter) for the V-Carving toolpath. The cutout at the end is done with a 3/8 Compression (up-down cut) bit.
What fonts did you use
I'll check with TJ and report back
The font was Ariel, and Bold was selected
