I've been looking at the Nikon 180-600 but this 150-500 lens based on its size looks so much better. The idea of easily fitting a lens that goes out to 500mm in my Peak Everyday messenger and not having to deal with the FTZ adapter is exactly what I am looking for plus it will kick me up a level with Tamron VIP...bonus!
I got th 150-500 for my Z6ii. Focus is a bit sluggish, but i read that on a Z8 ist better. This makes me hope for the Z6iii then. The VC is subpar to the Nikon native one. Looks like cam IBIS and LIS are not talking together. However I would prefer to have the 50-400 on my Z-Mount. A much more convenient range.
I ordered one (in Canada) and when it came in and I mounted it to my camera (Z8) there was a LOT of rotational "play" between the lens and the camera. I refused the lens and asked the store to order me a new one. I hope that when the new one comes in, it fits properly.
APS-C sensor has nothing to do with the lens being used, any FF lens can be used with an APS-C sensor camera, be it Nikon, Canon, Sony and others. Of course the lens has to be compatible with the camera being used.

I'm a TAMRON 18-400mm man myself, but this is nice too.

Is it compatible with APS-C cameras?
Of course
Just apply 1.5x crop factor to the focal lenght.

As long as its a Z mount mirrorless camera, sure why not.
Keep those 3rd party Z mount lenses coming.
Hi Tamron, have you forgotten how to make high quality prime Lenses ?
