Running him with 2 piece musketeer and wastelander is a better option for me IMO because the 4 piece condition is quite hard to achieve consistently especially if the enemies have a truckload of weakness break bars and its not all the time that danny boy is the one that breaks and imprison the enemies whislt having the 2 piece gives him the consistent boosts it provides without you having to adjust for niche plays so it gives room to more versatility to his teamcomp

Yeah actually 2-2 is better than wanderer u can see the IL showcases almost all of them have 2-2, the only way to 4 wanderer being better is if u have a welt to constantly apply prison (and even with that the damage increase won't be nothing crazy so its not worth to bother)
I've been using Yukong and Bailu with him! It has been feeling pretty good! The extra skill point at the beginning of the fight from the healer's relic set 4pc is super nice. So I can basically use Yukong skill and IL Dan hengs 3 stack basic right off the bat. It's been enough to one shot most regular enemies for me! Yukong also has Planetary Devastation which helps too! I got lucky with Bronya's light cone too so sometimes I switch that in and out when I feel like I need more skill points!
I was not planning to get Dhil but he is f2p/light spender friendly so I pulled got him on pity and didn't regret it also the one I am targeting next banner is Lynx anyway. I am having fun with DHIL and blade just being menace in simulated universe
i love Imbibitor. Insane dmg, animations, element, i don't regret skipping kafka and blade for him. My only complain is the lack of a real harmony char to pair with. I tried my best with E6 Yukong+ planetary lightcone ( we all saw that % img dmg bonus as perfect for him) , speed tuned accordingly but she just doesn't work, drains way too many skill point if you want her buff up when IL nukes, and you really want that. So stuck again with Tingyun being pretty mandatory
Just go SP-Positive Yukong, You don't need to have good uptime on Yukong's buff as her A4 + planetary is already a pretty massive increase, just spam basics and use her skill whenever you have extra sp. Pair her up with Pela and a Shielder/Healer and you'll get pretty good results.
About that, I heard they're gonna release a 5s support for him. Hanabi, a Quantum Harmony that gives Skill Points to team. But yea, for now Tingyun is the best pair for DHIL.
That's why I went Nihility instead. I use Welt and Pela to shred the oponents defence, Imprison and slow enemies. Welt with "before the tutorial" paired with either silver wolf and Pela with their defense shred means they can basic attack spam and have near perfect Imprison on the enemies while IL can have constant crit buffs via banditry set.

Ofc you can play "eco" Yukong, is better than nothing, but can't compare to tingyun uptime, SP-positive + energy regen then. Is a "ok " solution and surely is enough to clear any content, but team- optimizing speaking, she can't rly shine.

Tips for e0s0 player to get rutilast arena bonus set run him with yu kong instead of tingyun, cuz u want to do his big combo during yu kong’s buff anyway and she give 25% crate so even with ~50% crate he will get the set bonus, also u can run yukong with s5 past and future if she is your sole harmony that gies before dan heng il, it’s actually better than planetary rendevouz if u don’t have superimposition on it
I feel like a lot of the media/streamer folks give the exact same overviews. It's like one or two people in the community "figure out" the stuff and all these guys put out videos based on it rather than playing around on their own or thinking outside the box. It kinda of drives the whole meta aspect rather than build and test aspect of the hoyo games. Most content is super easy, and the end game content is over-tuned for meta play, I like playing in between and experimenting. Maybe these streamers do actually play around and experiment in their streams, and all come to the exact same conclusions, but as a normie who works and has very little time in the day to even game I have no idea.

I just got him earlier, been saving up for him ever since I heard about him on a star rail leaks page, I almost lost it cause I ended up losing my 50/50 to Yanqing, but after the pain of grinding up some quests, I finally managed to get him.
The problem with attack vs speed boots on Dan is that majority of people don't have enough speed on their supports. You should run 134 speed on Dan, you should run more than that on your supports

IL doesn't even need to crit 100% of the time to deal huge amounts of damage but if seele doesn't hit a crit on the last hit of her skill then she deals literally 0 damage
I got an imaginary sphere for rutilant arena and got all Crit rate rolls so I have 15.5 Crit rate and able to activate the set with 72 Crit rate 173 Crit damage he hits like 200k
I don't know how other people get decent Relics so fast, I've been farming for Imaginary sets since i get Welt (i get patch right before blade Banner) and still haven't find decent stats yet T-T
I'm doing luocha pela/tingyun welt imbibitor Welt im running a ehr build so he imprisons And when imprisoned imbibitor gets that 20% crit dmg and hit like a fkn truck!!! So imprison debuff makes full use of the banditry set giving crit 10% and crit dmg 20% increase
My Dan Heng team is Gepard, Welt, Pela and IL. Eventually I want to go for Loucha, Welt, SW and IL. Welt with before the tutorial starts and teamed up with Pela or SW can get his ultimate up consistently which leads to almost permanent uptime on imprisonment which helps my Banditry set Dan Heng deal massive damage. The damage is massive, the enemies are slowed and weakened to a crawl and the shield is strong. Unbeatable combo just destroying SU and MoC.
Fun Fact, if you don't have an IMG sphere, you can sub in an Atk% Sphere on him, he has so much bonus damage in his kit that an IMG dmg sphere vs ATK Sphere has a small difference. As long as the Substats work, you'll be fine
More consistent and provide additional damage to basic attacks. CN servers actually recommend musketeers or even better 2 pc wasteland 2 pc musketeer for conditional and consistent high damage.

This was my thought process when I got nilous weapon. After getting the weapon I was doing more dmg than hyperbloom single target WHEN i got nilou. I imagine IL will be very similar because he's the best dps rn.

His only downside for me is that he's not that great for SU, Destruction path's bonus doesnt do much for him and neither is using Hunter's path's, because what's the point of multiple turns if you can't do 3 enhancement basic attack. I mean, you can absolutely use him in SU, is just that his damage won't receive as much bonus from any path.
Literally in 2 days there is going to be a new path only for il and blade, also I don't think u can call that a downside at this point of the game everyone is Literally farming SU u shouldn't be having problems by now
Tingyun is a must for him. If you want to be skill point efficient, shes the only one to boost his ult which essentially gives him more of his own skill points. Bronya is so bad with him, why boost atk on a guy who 2 shots everyone anyways? And be skill point negative. Silverwolf and Luocha are insane with him. He needs to break weakness. And luocha is the most skill point positive healer forever. I'm still skipping because im not a meta slave. Fu Xuan, i have 300 summons waiting for you. My waifu collector is my real endgane.

Most elite summon or/ and accompany by small mobs so under the blue sky is his best 4s. 3 turn crit increase is quite long
