It's so rare to find teachers that will actually teach for a beginner in mind. I find that most tutorials are tutorials for intermediates. I say that because I've been watching online courses for all kinds of art mediums for the past 5 years. Your channel was the one I needed to understand 3D modeling and Blender. Thank you for your great teaching style, and grats!
🎉 Congrats Grant. I have been following along your tutorials and I found them to be PERFECT. I can confidently say am getting better at modeling. Thanks you very much. Oh and yeah, you weren’t just blabbering to yourself, listened all the way, it’s actually quite refreshing this wasn’t some obnoxious celebration video, but filled with helpful tips not just in art but in life 🙏🏽🤝🏽.
I started seriously practicing 3D in 2018. 3 years after that I got my first job as an Environment Artist in a videogame company using Blender. Grant, Blender Guru, CG Cookie and Stylized Station I owe you a lot! Now I'm learning to draw with your Video Game Concept Art Course So congratulations and thank you for everything!
Grant you are an inspiration for me ❤. I still remember when I was getting started with blender I was struggling and didn't even knew where to start your tutorials gave me that hope and built amazing projects seeing your tutorial. No matter what you are helping many people's out there and I'm proud of that and I really appreciate that.
Congrats Grant, thank you for everything from the tutorials, motivation and knowledge. Every time when u share your knowledge it's always punch in the face, because I always trying to control something that I can't control, like critics and negative feedback and perfection from something that I try to make in blender and it's always stop me to trying again, I don't know how many time I drop and pickup again trying to learn 3D. Once again you deserve it and thanks for helping me.
Congratulations on this epic milestone Grant!!! 👏 And thank you for kick-starting my 3D journey with your beginner course! It really gave me a great start and a quick win which motivated me to keep going. Now I'm in my 3rd year and I already have my own small short-film series 😊 What I like about your list is, that most of those things are also applicable to other professions. Which makes this video very valuable for a lot of people! Keep going and off to the next 500k!!! 🙌
Congratulations Grant for 500K. I love all your videos and courses, and I respect you a lot as a human. You were a lot of help for my for my process of learning blender. I wish you success and all that is good in life.🎉
The advice given in this video is amazing, you are not just teaching people how to be a artist but giving great advice on how to improve the quality of your life and work towards your goals!
I watched all the way through haha. I thoroughly enjoyed this one! Lots of really useful and encouraging information that makes you, who is now a "big" youtuber, feel much more relatable and personable. Thank you Grant!
CONGRATS, GRANT! Your channel helped me make strides in Blender. You are absolutely right about perfectionism. It’s crushing. (I know from personal experience.) Embrace flaws, love learning!
Congratulations on reaching 500k subscribers! Your well-deserved success reflects the quality of your content. I've consistently found value in both your free and premium tutorials. Keep up the dedication and positivity - your hard work truly shines through and keep on smiling 🥳
I am still with you 😂 Being a 3D modeler that cannot draw pictures (I did classes… with no success), I needing lots of textures and images to populate my environment with imaginary ads or designs… AI is a tool that is saving me a lot of time. We have to remember that new technology has always been controversial. Remember the times of Photoshop? When magazines were retouching their models for longer legs or erasing moles? (Cindy Crawford anyone?🥰) Now Photoshop is a “must” have in the industry…
Congratulations! and thank you for the tutorials . i learnt so many thing's and inspired to use blender from you. Because when I were using maya i find it quite fun and easy to use. I'm currently following your drawing course on udemy and still learning from you. 😊
This is sooo well deserved. Congratulations Grant! Been following you since quite a while now, and I'm really happy to see you grow and succeed, especially with the quality of your work and all the efforts and time spent for sharing your knowldege with us. Take care and keep on going 😉
Still with you on this one Grant! Congratulations on the 500,000 subscriber milestone, it's a testament to your hard work and dedication to the Blender and RUclips community, all the best on hitting the 1 million mark.
I am still with you. It is helpful to hear that everyone struggles. A lot of times we watch RUclips videos of people at their best ,and and we forget that those same people go trough rouh times as well. 3D art is a hobby for me but I strive to keep improving. Keep up the great work. Congratulations on 500k subscribers.
Still with you. Congrats on 500k! You post videos exactly when I need them. ( I have been going through some of that perfectionist anxiety lately). Thanks for the advice and I look forward to seeing how much the channel progresses in 2024.
I'm still with you! Your tutorials and technique videos are superb, and while it's true that I'm making donuts, it's as a compliment to other instructionals. I feel like your style really helps build understanding, rather than just repeating steps. I actually feel like I learn the how and why, rather than just repeating the steps. I've come back to Blender after several years out of the hobby, and enough has changed with the new release that going back and re-doing the basics is really helping me re-learn the system.
Congrats on 500k! I started my journey by watching you back in the covid days, now I'm working full time as 3d artist making 3d printable miniatures :)
Love the gap, love you, you are so important to so many of us starting in 3D. we'll be here for the million and on and on. Your insights about starting are preciouss and relevant!
This is awesome to see. I've learned quite a lot in the short time that I've been fooling around with Blender. Your teaching style is perfect for me. Thank you .
I am a solo indie game developer, coming from an engineering background. I remember my frustration from 4 years ago when I try to apply a brick texture to a wall. I do not clearly remember how I found you, but I do remember your videos and playlists that draw me a clear picture of how 3d art workflow goes from A to B. I started with extruding faces to UV unwrapping to texture baking to weight painting to your krita concept art course. And one of your (relatively recent) Shorts about in edit mode we can tick "correct face attributes" to achieve sort of dynamic uv unwrapping that led me to make pavements and roads and fences way easier. This is definitely one of my longest comments, but it's just a poor way of saying that it would be "very" hard if not impossible for me to do my job. Thanks for making many things easier.
When I first started blender, you were the channel I watched the most tutorials on. You went at such a great pace and explained things so elaborately it made it feel like I was taking a personalized class. Congrats, and thank you so much for helping me find a new passion!
WELL DESERVED! Mr. Abbitt. Thanks for helping me learn Blender during Covid. You are an inspiration. I ALWAYS recommend your channel and courses to ANYONE that wants to learn Blender. Continued Success and Blessings. THANK YOU.
One of the best Blender channels, thanks to you I was able to lose my fear of learning 3D modeling and I managed to do my first modeling from start to finish, and also, when I posted it on my Instagram, you responded. My most sincere thanks.❤
Some great tips in here! Congrats on 500k. A fantastic milestone and very well deserved 👏 Your Low Poly Monster tutorial was one of the first tutorials I followed when I started my Blender journey last year and I’m currently working my way through your Animation & Rigging tutorial. You’ve been an enormous source of knowledge, for which I’m very thankful. 🙏
Your teeth are fine, what are they on about? 😂 I want to thank you so much Grant! These tipps can easily be applied to all jobs in general. Also, I had no knowledge of blender prior to learning your courses, but you made it really easy to get started! I pointed this one out earlier in another one of your videos, but whats really great is that you tell your students when to pause the video and catchup with you. This is great, because it helps avoiding students copying your workflow instead of listening, paying attention and understanding what is happening and why. Im about to finish your character creater v2 course with the orc this week and will dive right into sculpting the dragon afterwards :)
You are an amazing teacher, Grant. Really enjoy your courses. Thorough explanations and well put together. You deserve this, and thank you! I was still here at the end :)
Great video Grant! I've been putting out animated shorts and my friends were having a peculiar reaction to it. Some were weirded out, some were laughing, some were seeing something of value in places. The most important thing is to not stop creating. Things will get better with time and curiosity. Keep up the good work! Congrats on 500k!
congratulations sir.Grant Abbitt! I'm really glad that I bought your blender tutorial course. your lessons are interesting and fun. I will keep on pushing on.
Congratulations Grant! I am really thankful i found your channel. I started trying to learn blender by trying out many beginner tutorials but got nowhere and even dropped it many times , until recently i tried your get good at blender series and oh! was my mind blown, i was really surprise how quickly i picked up blender at a very short time. I really wish i should have started sooner. So thank you and congratulation again you earned it
You’re a great tutor and your videos are always helpful. This was a good talk. “I’m still with you” and I’m very impressed with you for putting it all together 👍
I've been learning Blender for a couple of years and mostly with RUclips content creators like you Grant. I now can say you are my favorite. This soothing voice, the cleeeear explanations, your experience are the best. Your content is gold You deserve all your subscribers. And .. I did not know you could get comments about your teeth xD who cares, you're the best as you are. Love you❤
Your channel is awesome and you deserve all the success that is coming to you Grant. Looking forward for the future content coming here. Also your teeth are great, don't let the haters bring you down with their mean comments. Cheers!
Congratulations Grant! As a Fine Artist my self you learn to embrace the failures, mistakes, pushing your art to the point of failure and errors, perfectionism is a fools choice, no art is ever complete only resolved. Critiquing is part of fine art process. You are doing a great job and you are creating new Blender artists, inspiring people is one of your best qualities! Hate Hustlers!
Another GREAT video Grant. I follow a few RUclips content creators and you are one of my main ones. I think AI is good for getting ideas but that's about it. Example: you have a client you show an AI image to and they like it with some changes. Due to prompts you can not have it make the changes because AI likes to create a whole new image. But it is great for getting ideas. I would like to see videos more on planning of the project. Depending on project (animation, sculpting, low ploy or VFX). Of course these must be guideline.
Congrats! You're my favorite blender teacher and have the best teaching methods. This advice is very useful because that's the boat I'm in. Listening to this as I draw and it's giving me motivation (I'm still with you. watched till the end of course)
hi grant Im here to say that you are the best at teaching, with out you I wouldnt have learned and gottening were I am now; with out using your teachings. And the fact I know I been taught by the best, is when I saw Ryan kings commenting; and shining a light on how much you help him. This just shown to me that you are the Ultimate king of blender, and I can't thank you enough; you deserve this goal much than the next person. Congratulations🥳
First at all congratulations for the 500k subs. Well deserved for sure. And I would like to thank you as I started using blender after watching one of your videos, and I've really enjoyed all this time I've been using it. And I would like to say again a huge thank you as right now I'm going through a very difficult time in my life and I left blender and everything around it as It is difficult for me right now to find a motivation. But this video... Wow man... It's very encouraging even if it's not related to my personal situation. I think that all your positivity, all your tips, everything you try to explain to us... All of that helps not only when we talk about creativity and being an artist or content creator but also in our personal lifes. This how I see it and how I feel it. I wish you all the best, hopefully I will write something when you'll reach 1m subs.
Skibbityboop bap bap, still with you grabbit! I started 3D with your Character courses. It has really made my artistic and technical skill get on another level. Thanks!
I made it to that point at the end, you were not alone Grant. Early in the video really resonated with me because I have a lot of those problems with trying to be a perfectionist and having imposter syndrome. I'm starting my artistic journey late in my life, so I always feel like anything I share on Instagram has to look amazing. I put off finishing some of my works for months because they didn't look as good as I wanted. When I shared a cyborg/robot that I did on Instagram and got a like from you, it totally made my day. I didn't get a bunch of likes but I did get one from someone I admired, so that to me was a great win. Thanks for all that you do, I appreciate learning new things all the time from your videos and courses.
Congratulations man, both for the subs and for your channel, I wathed alll of the video and Im very thankfull for everything you share with us that is truly an unvaluable lesson, I wish you the best for the future, good luck and cheers Grant from an spanish follower
Regardless of whatever people say. I like many others enjoy your content. Ive been using blender for a while and manage pretty well but I still learn something every time I watch you
Terrific achievement Grant. Well done Sir and thoroughly well deserved and earned. From my point of view, thank you very much for breaking down the fears about 3D and introducing me to Blender. I would not have ventured to even try were it not for your channel. So cheers 🍻 . And I agree whole heartedly about the preoccupation with perfection. It shackles creativity. There is liberty in failure. Take a chance you'll be rewarded. All the best for your future and cracking anecdote about your brother. Older bro I take it right...? Got one myself 😅
brilliant video mate! as someone just beginning with one of your courses for the very first time this was an extremely helpful insight to put my mind at ease.
I agree and appreciate your style, too. New to 3D and find it challenging for my 60 year old neurones that have only imagined what we're capable of doing now,.. hands on, the lesson in patience,..WOW! I signed up for your courses, Thanks for the seasonal offer or I'd never be able to afford it. after watching your videos and a lot of others, some good some bad, normal.quoi,.. I concur with Graham, you have heart.
Congrats Grant! You totally deserve it! I watched so many of your videos when I was first learning Blender!
Thanks Ryan 😀

Congratulations Grant! :)

Glad to help!
Well done fella! Thoroughly well deserved. Your channel is one of the highlights of the Blender tutorial scene.
Thanks 😀
Thanks 😀

Thanks 😀
Great video Grant! I've been putting out animated shorts and my friends were having a peculiar reaction to it. Some were weirded out, some were laughing, some were seeing something of value in places. The most important thing is to not stop creating. Things will get better with time and curiosity. Keep up the good work! Congrats on 500k!
Go for it!

Thanks so much 😊
hi grant Im here to say that you are the best at teaching, with out you I wouldnt have learned and gottening were I am now; with out using your teachings. And the fact I know I been taught by the best, is when I saw Ryan kings commenting; and shining a light on how much you help him. This just shown to me that you are the Ultimate king of blender, and I can't thank you enough; you deserve this goal much than the next person. Congratulations🥳
Wow, thanks! 😀
Thanks 😀. You too

Great to hear 😀
Im amazed at how helpeful and generous you are with your knowledge

Congratulations and thank you for everything I have learned

Congratulations. I hope you offer more paid content. People deserve to get paid for their content.
Thanks 😀
Regardless of whatever people say. I like many others enjoy your content. Ive been using blender for a while and manage pretty well but I still learn something every time I watch you
Thanks 😀
Love your videos. Always been helpful in my 3D Journey. :)
Great to hear!
Older brother indeed 😃
brilliant video mate! as someone just beginning with one of your courses for the very first time this was an extremely helpful insight to put my mind at ease.
Thanks 🙂
One format I'd love to see on your channel is the equipment tour you use.
already done. Search my channel for kit :)
thanks @@grabbitt
I agree and appreciate your style, too. New to 3D and find it challenging for my 60 year old neurones that have only imagined what we're capable of doing now,.. hands on, the lesson in patience,..WOW! I signed up for your courses, Thanks for the seasonal offer or I'd never be able to afford it. after watching your videos and a lot of others, some good some bad, normal.quoi,.. I concur with Graham, you have heart.
Thanks 😀
So grateful that I found you a couple of years ago
Congratulations from the bottom of my heart for your milestone! 🎉

Well done mate, you deserve it! Great content.
