I feel like those set screws might have been intended to go on the top, so the loo logo is seen from the top view. And no set screws visible. I know it's more work to drop the muffler to do this. But I'm pretty sure that's the way it should be. Those screws are way to visible.
From a visual thing, yeah better on top. BMS likes their logos on the bottom, but I’ll have to play around with the placement next 👍🏻

So that just slide on top of the original tips, that's cool & it look nice..
I'd apply the cleaner to the cloth/brush first, saves your paintwork getting sprayed.
Funny I wanted the old gloss tips and they are out of stock for a few months. So I ordered these and they arrived earlier this week. I told BMS they need better pictures on their site of the tips installed and there was not much on the Internet yet. Guess that problem is solved. Overall I like them. Wish they stuck out a bit less but are solid quality. I also used locktite on the set screws. I would hate them to vibrate lose and lose a tip.

FITZGERALDtv i just installed VRSF downpipes last week, they are easy to install fit perfect and sound good as well..

Its odd that you can still see the set screw. Just a thought the logo is on the bottom... Is it upside down. I know it seems hard to install them 180D. Just a thought.

Just installed the BMS billet tips, painted the fasteners black and tightened them at the top of the exhaust cant see them at all. Just need 3 different lenght 5/32 Allen wrenches remove a couple bolts on the bumper and heat shield was done in 5 minutes. Looks good 335i JB4+MHD E85 BEF FUEL IT STAGE 2

You should have went with rear defuser and quad tips .
I liked the old BMS ones better.
Older ones are better and fill out he gap more. They seem to be discontinued

I have to sey the OLD SHAPE are much better. Fill gap perfectly in bumper. This are similar Akra tips... looks cheap
