This was the best Madden in my opinion. It felt alive than the previous and future releases. The energetic crowd, stadium sounds, spot-on textures, and crisp movements made me love this game. The only one problem I found with this game was the A.I.
It lacked awareness and competitiveness that is important in all sport simulations. Otherwise it more arcade-like. I did not find this game to be much of a challenge because of how poor the A.I. was. I also do not find this game to be the best anymore. The gameplay is much worse than most of the older and newer games.

This game plays excellent. Zone coverage is a bit touchy but they addressed the major issues with the game from last year and have totally revamped the game to play more realisitic year in and year out!
I'm sick of people saying that 2k5 was a masterpiece. It was FAR from it. The gameplay was NOT realistic, it was robotic, like any other sports game. 2k5 was nothing more than just a regular football game. Nothing special. I judge a game by the moments I have on it, that make it more emotional.. So far, Madden's done a way better job of making it emotional for me than any other football game.
the last madden game i played was 2008 on the ps2 so this one seems like a pretty big improvement since then, the franchise mode sucks in comparison but it's still a great game. i hope fifa 11 won't be a let down too.
This is NOT the same game as Madden 10, I've been playing it for a few hours now and it's completely different. I've tried the 3 player CO-OP with 2 of my friends and it was amazing,we all had a blast. It's not just a Roster Update, it's a complete game update, the game feels different when you're running the ball and players are smarter and move differently. This game is quality.

dear ea this is what i want in madden 12 1. when you are using superstar mode, when you start have a training camp and go more deep into it 2.add consistency, when ever i complete 4 passes in a row i want to do better than the normal throw 3.kinda do what back breaker did but not to much 4. in franchise mode there should be force trades 5.also in superstar mode you should be able to do stuff in the off season 6. have an online tournament mode 7. have more features like street ball
If 2K was still making a NFL game, madden would have gone down the same way NBA live did. They probably would have retired the madden name just like live did.
They should make one big Madden game and call it something like "Madden forever" and sell updateds every year. They should also have one game mode where you can make a player that starts at high school and works their way up to the nfl and call it "Varsity Letter"
Madden can't fix the gameplay until they get a new engine. Yeah there is tons of glitches and fake things that happen in madden but you just have to get used to it because EA doesn't care about their fans enough to get a new engine. So expect the same glitches year after year after year until they decide to do something different.
Loved Madden 11 on Xbox 360 however at the time of o ly having a wii and getting this for my birthday and start G it up super excited to see the goofy cartoony graphics was a huge let down. First game I ever got as a gift or any game I got period that I never played again after my first time. I guess I prefer realism instead of bobble head football
Madden never changes that much. I completely agree with this review just because I too am a Franchise/Superstar player and it hasnt changed at all thats why Im stickin with Madden 10 untill they release a Madden thats completely different and new.
Well, it's not like Franchise Mode needed more tuning, but it would have been nice to see EA try to push the development of Superstar. If they fail to advance it further, then they honestly should get rid of it and use the extra processing power to polish the rest of the game.
Everyone says that Superstar and Franchise need to be updated, but here's the problem: what more can they do? If they make changes that aren't like real life, then, people are upset. If they don't change anything, people get upset too. Superstar has some room to change, but it's not much. It faces many problems that were just stated. They have to keep it like real life, otherwise, people will get upset. What changes can EA do?
If the NFL has a lockout next season, I think the Madden franchise should do the same and reboot the franchise for Madden 13. The game is basically the same thing every year with small little tweaks.
Yeah this is ONE review from ONE person's perspective. The game is not as bad as he's making it out to be. I like it and i've been a Madden fan forever. Sure there are shortcomings as there is with any game but there also are positives which he didn't really bother going into. Any Madden fan hesitant to buy the game bc of this review I assure you you'll like it. Replay value is relatively high.

@hollywoodnumba3 The NFL 2K series did that when it was still around... I think it was 2K4 and 2K5 (or maybe just 2K4). Either way, it was called First Person Football, and it was pretty fun. Not great, but still kind of fun.
i think that two things that need to improve in this game are superstar mode and franchise mode. both have gotten worse and worse over the past five years. and idk maybe they should add more modes. but seriously in superstar mode, all you do is take an IQ test then get drafted. no fun stuff in between. does anyone else think the same thing?

I enjoyed the feature where you can create your own teams- team colors, stadium outlook, with a variety of logos (demons, atoms, Hawks, etc).

The last patch fixed a lot of the crap, defense feels a lot better. Not a perfect game, but not too bad.
