The heartfelt Garrett "Thanks for telling me to play this game" gets me every time.
20:30 I remember having to take a moment here, when I first run this with the Duty Support. I looked down, and I slowly realized that I could make out the shape of Vylbrand. The shape of Eorzea slowly came into focus.
I felt such a sadness, realizing that I could make out the shape of a world I had grown to love over 3 expansions, because of the shapes of the *fires.* Realizing I was watching my world burn...
With all the narration and use of creation magicks, I will never get out of my head Kyle's idea that Emet-Selch is basically DMing for us through this dungeon. 🤣
Well he is :D
The part that gets me more than anything else here is the music. The use of low strings to turn the leitmotif into a funereal sort of dirge is simply inspired- a wake for a whole world.
In a way you haven't seen since Holminster Switch, there's an eye-narrowing grim necessity about doing this one. To fight, knowing there's nothing you can do to change what happens, but that you still might die regardless?
"When your back is against the wall, the decision is easy which way you should go."
"Such visual escalation - this was our intention." - the devs, probably.
We're all here for Garrett's reaction to the last third of the dungeon, right? Just the way his jaw *dropped* when he saw it for the first time was essentially how we *all* felt upon seeing it.
That really was an experience, I still remember my first run vividly
"Emet is just DMing for us."
I hate the fact that this is so accurate.
"It's like I'm fighting a *church organ*."
You know he's not wrong.
That moment when they first enter the last section of the dungeon and Garrett's incredulous expression and quiet "What the shit!?" The Final Days is a masterpiece of a dungeon, and seeing your reactions really makes me happy.
29:52 --- I tried: there is indeed no tell which side goes off first. Which makes sense, since you dont get a debuff from it.
Oh phew. I just assumed that was the case because he also does that similar targeted beam, but I kept forgetting to check if that was actually how it worked.
@@fluffyfang4213 Yeah, its tricky, this one... We always expect either animation tells or telegraphs to give us a hint on where to stand - but this boss just says "nope" :D
1:07 Gremlin!
4:25 Yes. Emet is going to DM his own D&D session for you.
5:05 Cat aggro.
6:40 Yeah, that's my thing with astro too. I remember I have cooldowns and dump them one after another.
A thing to keep in mind with all the collapsing buildings. Remember while questing with the ondo the building we tested was so indestructible we couldn't take shavings off of it with a mythril knife and they were left untouched after millenia under the sea? Yeah. THOSE buildings are collapsing like paper mache.
20:27 =-)
25:09 I love your descriptions. Sky pirates, lady pirate, snake shoes. lol
How many of the ShB dungeons are going in the epic tier when they do the tierlist?
Betting Amarout gets a tier of its own
im glad they like this dungeon, there is so much here to appreciate, overall having a glance at what the final days where like is pretty damn cool with people running and buildings collapsing it really encompasses the feeling of despair and chaos, and i think the mechanics the bosses have, specially the last boss complement that aesthetic really well
I'm noticing just how many videos y'all are putting out recently. Thanks, I love it. Also take care of yourself and don't burn out please!
Concern is appreciated!
But you don't need to be worried, at least for this side of things, the Clips channel is almost entirely managed by me, Nahuel, clips channel editor.
And this video was the first I edited after getting back from a 2 week trip with my family! (I did the previous 2 weeks ahead of schedule and programmed them to come out while I was away) So I'd say I had my rest.
@GrindingGearClips as a viewer, your service is both appreciated and i didn't know it wasn't kyle editing everything
Love the Carth Difficulty Modifier.
I'm loving the POV orange highlights
Its not a grinding gear stream without Cat Interference!
Good morning, GG family. I hope everyone that reads this has a fantastic day.
You too, buddy! Have a lovely day. May you land a jumbo cactpot or experience anything that puts huge smile on your face
Relatively new sub here. Enjoy all your in-depth analysis and dungeon discussion videos! Looking forward to your completion of ShB, and EW experience.
For Kyle (this is not a criticism, just letting you know to help you during more intense fights): The effects of the AST barrier "Collective Unconscious" does not need to be held for its effects to remain active. The effects persist even upon leaving the barrier. That being said, you could hold the barrier up if you expect other team members to wander inside it.
"There's a colosseum ahead" PTSD intensifies.
Still watchingz but that transition around 12:00 using the meteor explosion as a fulcrum to switch between Kyle and Garrett's PoV... superb edit.
8:30 This was already so sweet but the fact that Kyle would bring it back at the youtube video for the end of Shadowbringers? 😿
Black Mages favorite Dungeon :D
“69 chubs…..”..magnificent…😂😂😂😂
1st, good morning people of the future lol
