I always thought Vanessa and Seth together were SNK's subtle jab at Dudley haha. Both were dressed up in suits, Seth kind of had the Dudley physical appearance, Vanessa had the fighting style.
I realized that Capcom basically created their own version of Vanessa off of KOF which was Crimson Viper, can't believe it took me that long to notice. Nickname "Crimson Agent" Crimson Viper, makes total sense now. 🤦♂️

Is it honestly not that obvious? With sprite animation, the artists are describing the punches in very few key frames, so they look snappy and fierce. A 3d model goes through the entire motio punch motion, so unless the animators deliberately add some speed up to add more pizzazz to the animation, it's going to look slower/less brutal.
