I had a mental breakdown two years ago. I have struggled with lifelong severe depression my whole entire life. When I had my mental breakdown two years ago I started making my bed every day, and changing my sheets once a weeks. TOTAL game changer for me. I mean, it wasn’t a cure all by any means, but just that little bit of consistency of a clean, put together bed helps A LOT. Especially since one of the side affects of my depression is disrupted sleep, and irregular, poor sleep quality. Anything I can do to help my sleep is a win in my book. I totally believe there is power in a small task like that.
My mom’s saying growing up (and still) is many hands make light work. Things can be overwhelming for one person but if everyone helps it’s actually manageable for everyone.
Floors floors floors. Somehow if I keep floors clean I feel the house is cleaner overall. Then I pick the areas we use most. Bathrooms and kitchen. I touch up rest of house as needed 😂😂😂❤❤
I’ve made my bed everyday for almost 6 years. 🎉🎉 it was a promise I made myself when I bought my house. Now I just like being able to say how long it’s been😂
I so agree with you that decluttering is key to having a clean and organized house and decreases stress. In Canada shoes in the house are a no no. We get to people’s house and they are off. If you don’t then it reflects bad on you. Plus most of our houses are hardwood, so imagine how slippery and noisy it would be with shoes. We even keep extra slippers for people to put on if they wish. Love your videos and Bobbies on the other channel. ❤️🙏
What helps me keep bathrooms clean is to have cleaning supplies under every sink. That way if I have a few minutes I can clean without having to go get cleaning products from somewhere else.
Yes that is an awesome tip. I’m actually righting this one down because 100% having cleaning supplies in main rooms makes it so much easier for those quick cleanings even if it’s just some wipes
I had not cleaned my EXPENSIVE blinds for years, but I finally did. Dawn power wash for the save. Yes, it took me a bit to get them clean. I did it, and now I maintain them. Cheaper than replacing them. And I would have had to special order them as they fit my front window, which was huge.
A cleaning routine is a game changer. I use fly lady. Also, having the attitude that perfection is not the goal. If you clean a little, it is still better than not cleaning at all because you can't make it perfect. Once you get better, you can add tasks when you are ready. I like the zone cleaning idea because if you don't get to something, you don't worry so much because it'll come around again in 5 weeks and you'll be reminded to do the job. No stress!!
Love this idea! Thanks for keeping us all on task on a tidy home. Definitely need a part 2 for some more detailed tips. Some people need to be reminded that disinfectant needs to sit for 10 minutes or so to actually kill the germs. Cellular blinds....how to clean them? OHH how about cleaning mini blind cords?
I am expecting a baby girl at the end of April, so I had to clean my room. I also have two dogs and my room gets so hairy and dusty (I know you can relate to this), I have been working on wiping down or dusting my room and doing a quick vacuum every night so it says maintained! Also, working on loading the dishwasher every night. Those are the two tasks that I am focusing on right now and then will add more! My house gets so messy!
So far I’m doing same as you. Not that fridge is a happy choice but once a week is quick. I have a routine. So watching your video in case I have forgotten or could be made easier. (U.K.). 😊😊
Hi Cambriea i Love watching your Videos, and thanks tor all the Cleaning tips especially the one about the Light switch wipe down with Lysol wipes you are doing an Amazing job, take care God Bless! 🧡🧡
hey i always enjoy your cleaning and cooking and decluttering your home videos thank you for the great strenght and energy to get mine done i appreciate you alot and i love your family they are wonderful
Great video and tips! Declutterring is key, it gives me less stress when things are being simplified and organized. I always feel when my floors are clean and my sink is cleared and cleaned the house feels put together until I get to other cleaning projects. Would love to hear more of your tips! Thanks again ❤❤❤
im so glad in my country blinds are in between windows! we have triple glass so it makes sense. otherwise i probably would never remember to clean blinds 🙈
Hi Cambriea, I love your tips, especially how you do give the details of each one. I would love to hear more on decluttering and finding homes for things. I really struggle at this, and I'm so overwhelmed 😢 that I just can't start, and I know starting is the first step. Yes, please, more tips always. I do have limited mobility (my back), but I for sure get so much out of your videos, even the motivation, but I just can't seem to get going. Can't wait for your next videos they are absolutely fantastic. Thank you and I will see you next time ❤❤❤
We live in the country have 3 horses an a pony I breed cocker spaniels an have 5 in the house. Two are retired but they still shed a lot! Then there’s the hubby who owns two semi trucks an has a shop to work on them. Floors are ALWAYS an issue here. We live somewhat close to a gravel pit too so dust never stops…
Any tips or tricks to keep your house clean and in order when working outside the home for 10-12 hours a day with chronic health problems and 2 kids? I'm constantly in survival mode.
I don't like curtains they hold the dust and if to close them don't use a cord then dirty hands marks are visible. I replaced all my curtains with honeycomb blinds, best decision I have ever made. Another thing with curtains is, if you have pets they rub their dirty little bodies over them. Keep your tips coming.
So satisfying with the couch being clean 😌☺️ and I agree with these tips and tricks dusting is def one thing needs to be done and agree I dislike it so much but it accumulates so much more then we know and need to be on top of it I’m altering to dust so I have too lol. Hope you have a great week! 😊💜
I just shut my blinds then wipe over with damp cloth from top to bottom, dry off with paper towel then reverse blinds and same again. Doesn’t take long at all. Better than individually doing blinds sections. Works for me every time. Do my blinds once a fortnight. From 🇬🇧 Ps I pride myself on having a clean home. Tip is little but often and have Cambriea on in the background for motivation ❤
It definitely a lot easier if you stay on top of it like that also yesss having a cleaning buddy on helps me so much also. I often will watch a video and then get up and clean as I have another video on in the background
Yes! I loved this video!! I mostly do the exact same thing as you!! But I don’t have kids at home and sadly no dog anymore but a kitten! I love how simple it is to keep everything clean. You are the best❤❤ Oh yea. I do want to see more tips!!
I personally can't do no shoes. 😢 Plantar fascitis both feet. But if i know someones house is no shoes. I pack slippers. Personally daily chores are dishes, laundry and fix bed.
I implemented the no shoe rule in my apartment as soon as I moved in. Friends, family, no one except maintenance wears shoes on the carpets. Luckily, everyone picked up on the rule fairly quickly, and I rarely have had to remind anyone. My carpet still looks new 4.5 years later!
Hi again. I commented this in another one of your yt videos but I believe it’s important to say again. One, I love your tips Two, be careful when cleaning the oven. My mother-in-law got Mr. muscle oven cleaner in her eye. She didn’t go to doctor she just cleaned it out herself. Anyway she eventually lost her w eye to cancer. Be careful with the oven cleaner. Use eye protection googles. I think eye protection googles ppl use when doing yard work etc….. so maybe you can get eye protection from a hardware store etc. stay safe Love Ya
Where did you get your leather furniture? We bought leather furniture 5 years ago and we have already had it recovered. Thank God we bought the extended warranty. We were taken by the salesman, the leather is like it was sprayed on. Or if you know the grade of leather we should invest in? I love your cleaning techniques by the way.

The shoe things is so hard! I was raised not wearing shoes in the house. I dont allow, and I will nag if people wear shoes in my house. It drives me crazy 😂 There's only one person thats allowed to wear shoes in my house and thats my dad and its only because he's older and its harder for him to take his shoes off and put them back on. I feel like its rude though to walk into someones house with shoes on. I will either automatically take them off or if it looks like they dont mind, then I'll ask.
Because it’s the norm to take shoes off at the door where I live it seems so odd to me that anyone would walk inside a house and not remove shoes. Lots of people I know wear slippers inside but not shoes. It just isn’t a thing. No one I know has ever allowed shoes inside. So to me it doesn’t seem like nagging. Just common practise.
